Location to beach and within easy walking distance to other amenities in Paihia. Room comfortable with plenty of hot water and communal kitchen well equipped and system very well organised. Staff/owners very helpful and friendly.

did not realize hotel was a hostel but we had a ensuite room apart from hostel area. location was great easy walking distance to all services

No really, had to strip our own beds & take to office but that was it

The location was very convenient, just down the road from Paihia's main shops and restaurants. The room was bit dated but exactly what I needed for my short stay. The bed was comfy and staff very helpful.

The dining chairs were uncomfortable and there was no couch, but to be fair there wasn't really room to fit one in.

Staff was friendly! This place is really nice and close to the beach. There is also store and cafe 2min walk from the lodge.They provide towel and shampoo which is really handy for backpackers :)

Great location, quiet, well equipped kitchen, clean.

The metal dorm bed is not as desirable, makes noise and there’s no bed curtain for privacy.

good looking hostel, nice common rooms for socializating, big kitchen is most important of them. Rooms are clean with locker, but own lock is needed. We have terrace conected to room

Not much to write there.. just shower head is not so powerfull, but pretty standard and copying debit card even if fully paid via booking dont look confident. (virtual card helped)

Bathroom is small and sliding door fell off once.

Accessibility to the main Paihia centre.

The internet keeps dropping especially during busy hours like afternoons & night time. On Easter Sunday the internet was down fr afternoon until we left @ 8am on Easter Monday. Smallthings but really helpful is the lack of hooks to hang even jackets, no hooks in bathrooms either. Parking is scarce. We were told to park in their sister motel’s parking across the road but only have 10 spaces there so very limited. We opted to park along the road but quite full as well.

Ants in the staff cupboards in the kitchen which was a little off putting, and a lack of folks for dinner, but nothing major

Nice beds and overall facilities. I didn't meet the staff because I arrived and left outside of office hours.

OVerall accommodation was clean. Shared kitchen were cleaned most of the time.

Bit noise when those staying in the upper floor start walking then you can hear the flooring being 'pounded' on.

Very comfortable room, we enjoyed having our own bathroom.

You could hear a bit of the other rooms/lounge rooms due to the walls being thin but nothing crazy or at late/early hours

Room exactly as expected, very friendly staff and decent sized kitchen and common areas! Good location with easy parking. Stayed here twice and we were impressed both times.

Made some lovely friends here. Good social spot in kitchen at dinner time. Very clean. The provide towel. No curtains. Checked in late at key was in the box so was amazing. Location is good too. Just off of the main road. Not too far from bus and ferries

Nice hostel with decent rooms and great shared kitchen/communal area.

Bunkbeds don’t have curtains, so a little less privacy. Lockers were broken.

Comfortable and well located. Gorgeous beach a 5 minute walk away

Although people came in to remake the beds for new arrivals, the floor under the beds was never vacuumed, while i was there at least, as when i came there was rubbish underneath and it was still there when i left. Also there wasn’t many spoons in the cutlery box!
