Taipa Beach Resort

From our last visit looked like an improvement in the rooms and surrounds and the staff were welcoming

The Diming Room needs a revamp more of a selection and affordable options for breakfast. A lounge Area to relax in . An extension to the pool perhaps?

Location is excellent and staff are just wonderful!

Overall, a great experience. As a minor suggestion, a deep clean of the upholstered furniture and carpets would help elevate the presentation of the room.

Generally nice.

However one gets a feeling that not one person of the staff is particularly invested in making the place a success. everybody is supremely nice and polite, of course, this is NZ after all, but generally there's a general air of "it is what it is, sucks if the guest doesn't like it, but so it goes"

beach front resort, nice to have dinner watching the sunset. Rooms were generous and comfortable, it also had EV charging which was a huge bonus. it was quiet when we were there so not many staff running the resturant so there was a wait for service but otherwise a good location and a nice stay.

Got a good deal, so value was good, despite some hiccupps.Very comfortable king-sized bed, great for a very tall 76yr old man and his wife.Dinner first night was OK. Solo waitress was very busy with quite a few covers to handle but she did a great job.Breakfast next morning was ok - nice enough granola, poached eggs on toast, 1 tea, 1 orange juice, but that cost 80% as much as the previous night's dinner. That felt steep.Had dinner out next night. Second breakfast was a treat - different chef, young lady. Granola and fruit but much more interestingly presented and more fruit. Excellent toast (didn't go for eggs this time). Same excellent waitress as previous dinner - English lass called India.Superb beach-front room, big opening doors

Check-in ok but no assistance offered to take kit down the 80 metre hallway to our room. After we had taken two loads each then we discovered trolleys, which at least made the checkout process easier later.At checkout the bill didn't seem high enough and I had to point out that I hadn't been charged for everything.Again not the slightest hint of help with our kit - but we helped ourselves to a luggage trolley.There were dirty marks on the carpet but otherwise the room was bright and cheerful and clean.There is NO guest information in the room except a QR code that supposedly takes you to a compendium. It took us to a message that said page not found, but there was a menu icon which took us to the website, which gives absolutely no detailed information at all. We had to phone reception to ask about using the hot tub. And we had to get reception to send help to get the TV working. It took the young guy 10 minutes too, so we didn't feel too bad about it. (I have been in IT for the past 40 years and still use computers every day). The looong walk to the room and the fact that there was no other shortcut to the car made for a bit of tedium but I guess the exercise did me some good.Some of the reception staff could be schooled in making more eye contact

Comfortable, quiet, loved that it had full kitchen, Seaview room, good showerHave Stayed here several times, every time being in a different room. Have loved every stay and will return often

A great location and very friendly and helpful staff.

The mice in the two nights that we were there. One climbing on my son both nights as he slept, awakening him; very, very nasty, and one chewing and destroying part of one of my $8000 hearing aids, rendering it inoperable, so completed the trip with one hearing aid (and now the ruined one is being sent off to the manufacturer for rehabilitation!).

Beautiful tropical setting, on the beach. Very spacious suite

The couch in the lounge was a bed settee. The webbing under the cushions was broken so when you sat on it the cross bar hurt your legs. Very uncomfortable. The dishwasher had a bad odour.

Location was amazing, walk 100mtrs to the beach. Pub just down the street with a bakery across the road. Restaurant on site and a coffee cafe too. We had the pool view room which was lovely and there is a spa pool as well.

When we came home later (at 6pm) there were no carparks left. It was filled up with people coming to the restaurant. We had to park on the street, then at 10pm my husband went out and moved the car back into the resort carpark. We are paying for accommodation. I think there should be reserved parking for accommodation and make the restaurant diner's park outside on the road.

Having our own Spa pool was a pleasant surpriseGreat having good sized fridge, oven and stove top.

Couches weren't that comfy to sit or lie on

There wasn't enough space for sitting suitcase on.

The Décor and resort was a bit tired but spotlessly clean ?

The bar & restaurant was great and their service.

Didn't get a keycard to go between beachfront and poolside as they had none left to spare, so was told to walk right around from one end to the other. Spa pool had green particles in it floating, and there wasn't much information given on the resort once you arrived I had to ask a lot of questions regarding what's on offer.

Always love it here. Very comfortable and no other people were using the pool area while we were there. My kids had a blast swimming alday

Breakfast portions were small and not filling. My family and I normally never finish a plate by ourselves but we ate all our food and were still hungry

Location great, staff great, dinner amazing food.We had a problem with your room and they changed us immediately, manager was awesome about it and explain that they have just taken over and are upgrading all the rooms.I would go back.
