Argyle Terrace Motor Inn

It was a perfect location for us, with the soldier's club in walking distance. We had booked a fishing charter, and it was just down the road, walking distance.We also used the barbeque to cook our fish.

Location is just perfect for me, quiet and still very close to Batesman Bay CBD. The customer service was great as always (this is the 3rd time that I stayed in this Motel, being the first one 6 years ago)

The rooms are starting to show the age. I would say that the front door has to be upgraded.

Spacious for a traveling family of 4. Clean and comfortable.

This is only a minor issue but the pool was dirty ( clear water but debris at the bottom) and didn’t look inviting for our kids to go for a swim.

Great place to stop over. Beds & bathroom great. Bad lighting in room - fittings not working. Making it too dark. Needs a good cob web clean behind beds & corners☹️

I liked the fact that my room was an end one. I loved the fact that I had undercover parking in front of my door.

Bed was a little uncomfortable so didn't sleep as well as I would have liked.

Air conditioning rattled all night and they had a door stop shaved in the wings that come up when turning it on thinking it would save the problem considering it was hot not to have air conditioning going

Good view of the Bay from the living room, short drive or nice walk along the shore to downtown. Reasonable kitchen facilities and very clean apartment with fairly large rooms.

Main road outside was noisy, as were other guests slamming doors, having loud early morning conversations outside the bedrooms and revving motorbikes before roaring away. There was some mould around the shower recess, a symptom of the general age of the motel.

The communication was great. I was contacted about my ETA that I make sure someone would be there when I arrived. I actually got lucky in my travels and was early, and I was able to park my vehicle and put some stuff in the room before checking in formally. I was even given the key and told to relax and enjoy the area, and everything would be done by the time I got back. I was very happy

Aircon had mould in it, the bathroom was covered in dust, the towels left bits of cotton everywhere.

Thoughtfulness of the manager who placed a sheet on our car window which we had inadvertently left open and it had rained.

Large clean and comfortable room with crockery and cutlery. The Motor Inn is across the road from the water and within walking distance of the CBD.

Location was a great walking distance to everywhere

Not enough power points in the kitchen. You had to share one between the kettle and toaster.

The location was great. Close to the city centre it was an easy walk to food, bars and attractions. Also close to 2 x clubs and several beaches.

Our initial reactions to the outside of the hotel was it looked old and tired, but the room was spacious, it was comfortable, and it was very clean.

Great location, easy parking, close to shops. Great view of water from front balcony. Had all you need for a short stay.

The room is very outdated and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The manager moped it and cleaned the toilet area, but the shower was atrociously dirty. Orange mould on the tiles, toothpaste from the person before us, dirty tiles overall... it looked like it was "cleaned" in less than 2 minutes. We were staying overnight and did not shower due to the concerns of lack of cleanliness. We also woke up with other people and children screaming as they were playing cricket in the parking lot of the inn with cars around.We paid more than $300 for a night, which was worth probably $100. We will not be back. For the price we paid, this is unacceptable.

Clean, comfortable, centrally located and great value for money. Will stay again.

We had to clean pool ourselves before we could swim . Room /bathroom very dirty gardens not maintained

We did BYO breakfast, so that was good.

The cupboard the kettle & fridge & microwave are in needs to be completely replaced, it's all on a lean. and not a great thing to boil kettle inside a cupboard :( Overall the whole room/bathroom needs updating. Shower water was nice n hot just how we like it so that was great.Shower leaks from screen joints, mould in the shower corners.Our Host was great and helpful, he loaned his own hairdryer as the one in the room not working as it should.
