Silverwater Resort Phillip Island

Room, restaurant, location, the view… all exceeded expectations.

Location, reception staff and facilities were excellent. Right close to the heart of Sam Remo. Huge apartments and clean rooms.

Firstly, check in time of 3 pm. Too late when the standard time in almost all hotels and resorts is 2 pm. To aggravate the situation, our apartment was ready at 5 pm, absolutely not acceptable. Only after asking did they extend the checkout time by 2 hours. Manager didn’t bother coming out of his cozy cabin to apologise to multiple guests who got their rooms late. Also, the outdoor pool water was not heated.

the size of the apartment was decent. The kitchen was well equipped with sufficient amenities and cutlery.The BBQ area on the balcony was nice.

-We were staying in a group and would have liked access to a communal outside area with BBQ, tables etc. The apartment BBQs are small and meant everyone had to be inside an apartment. -Some sort of coffee machine or pods would have been nice-Very limited Wi-Fi and signal

The apartment is appalling. Mold, dirt, torn carpets, hair in shower and visible dirt everywhere. Honestly very surprised how bad this apartment was.

The place is clean, comfortable, and very good.

I wanted a place facing the sea with a more beautiful view, but I didn't get that place, and that bothered me. I wanted the ground floor, but they gave me the top floor.

The location is poor - had to use the car to drive to shops, beaches, etc. The staff were rude and not helpful. The room was up a flight of stairs (that needed vacuuming) and was 400 metres away from the car park so had to drag luggage across the tennis courts and through the gardens. Furniture was uncomfortable and only had one small couch to sit on. Bed was sagging on each side and needed to be updated. Railing on the second story verandah was not attached at one end so was very unsafe. Breakfast food was okay but small number of staff couldn’t cope with supply and seating guests - empty bowls and dirty dishes everywhere.

Check in was 2pm however when we arrived we were informed our room was not ready and staff could not give us an estimated times it would be ready.

Amazing place & what fantastic staff - breakfast was a triumph following an all nite power outtage. They were such professionals & so kind to so many stressed out people!

The overall facilities looked good. Lots of things to do. Nice view over the lake. Restaurant meal was very nice

Our room was very dated. Needed new carpet, paint , bathroom needed an update especially the shower. Parking wasn't close to our room. Was disappointed as the rest of the facilities looked good. Roller blinds didn't cover the whole windows so very light first thing in the morning.

Great location. The room was clean and it was great having a kitchen to be able to cook some meals.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress needs replacing.

We got just a motel room that needed attention.

Stains on landing carpet in front of our door. No plates or cutlery. Had to lye on bed to watch TV & paid $200 per nt. This place is old & needs a revamp.

The rooms are a little outdated, our bath tub had mould, the bbq only worked on 1 side and the couch was uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time.

Multiple moths coming in the room. Clean face towels weren’t washed properly. Still had stains.The sliding door was not fully secured enough, there were holes which most likely made the moths come inside the room.The carpet was not to standard, had worn tears and marks. No elevator. The stairs leading to the room made a squeaky sound which didn’t feel safe and secure.

Location, outdoor pool and views were all superb.

There was a lack of proper sized cookware (pots and pans) in the apartment. Very difficult to cook pasta or a proper dinner for a family (my spouse and one son) with a small pan and frypan only in the apartment. There is an assumption that people will go out for dinner and not cook for themselves. I would reconsider booking here again due to how the poorly stocked the kitchen was.

The pool was a great hit and thoroughly enjoyed.

The room did not feel clean, and the air conditioning did not appear to be working properly, the panel was loose and the cooling was ineffective. Based on my breakfast experience, the food options were also not particularly pregnancy-friendly, which was disappointing. I asked whether the cooks could prepare well-done scrambled eggs for my pregnant wife, and was disappointed to be told this couldn’t be accommodated as they were too busy. Based on the limited option, I was baffled by such a response.
