    • Decent enough spread for the price charged.Mostly Indian Style.Indian cuisine food quality, and restaurant service was excellent. The promptness & service orientation of the staff is excellent. Marred by their hanging around for tips at the end.
    • SOOOOO happy we booked this! I regularly go on pilgrimage to Rishikesh, Haridwar, Vrindavan and Govardhan every year from the New York, and the last day before i leave i end up in delhi at a airport hotel...in the last few years Aerocity. But i'm over it. Ugly corporate hotels that feel like i'm in a California mall. not interested. Chandra Mahal is charming hotel. (Haveli) is not quite in Bharatpur but a charming village perhaps 20 minutes outside. I'm so over the noice of (even) the holy places. Just honking, and speakers etc etc. This place feels like i was in an indian village from 1950. simple sweet, clean, farms, cows. I splurged for the expensive room (there's 4 of them) and it's still cheaper than practically anything in Aerocity. But student of mine stayed in one of the Heritage rooms and they were great, nice, tasteful and charming-classic old Rajasthani style. Dinner was great, breakfast was simple but good. (i had papaya yoghurt and paratha), but we took the morning off driving the bird sanctuary just to walk around. exactly what i needed. Best air quality yet! came back. had some fruit. got a haircut at this great local barber. THe staff was next level accomodating. Especailly Phool Singh who literally walked us around the village invited us into his home to meet his family and gave us masala chai. since we're flyiing out at 2AM this morning we had time to kill. sat poolside read, and they said no problem with late check out and totally catered to us. so grateful we came. This is my new way of leaving or even entering India. thank you staff ;) sincerely, Ray Cappo
    • Facility and food, serene environment

    Cons -

    • The cleanliness level of the linen and bath towels. The staff hovering around at check out time for gratuities was very uncomfortable. No views from the rooms - primarily surrounded by the village homes. Also, the steps to the first floor are steep. Not friendly for senior citizens - should have a lift option.A distance away from Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
    • Wrong advise by staff to get down at a station before Bharatpur with a promise to pick up. Pick up was delayed by 2 hrs, very disgusting and it was overpriced.
    • The height of the beds are on the higher side. A little uncomfortable for kids

This hotel looks much nicer in photos than it does in reality. It’s located a bit far from everything, and the facilities are quite basic. The rooms are spacious, which is a plus, but the amenities and overall installations feel very simple. The staff are extremely friendly and do their best to help, which we really appreciated. However, when comparing the price we paid to the quality of the experience, it just doesn’t add up. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Away from the hustle bustle, quaint property. Good food and facilities

The height of the beds are on the higher side. A little uncomfortable for kids

Excellent staff, a great restaurant, I’ve been in India 21 days and this is the best food I have had. Bed was super comfortable and quiet, I slept really well. Good secure parking for my motorbike. Room was large and well appointed, everything worked. Small garden and pool a very nice place to sit.

    Nothing, everything was fine.

    Staff is very courteous

The hotel can not claim a star rating. It is a haveli, but not well maintained & lack of activities to do make it unattractive. The meal plan also gave a fixed menu, no option for rajasthani dishes - a disappointment.

    9VatsalyaPosted on: 2-16-2025

Old haveli. The sense of history, design of rooms, the expansive lawns with staff that is flexible enough to accommodate different types of travellers

There is better approach road to the location that what Google maps shows by default (through narrow village lanes). Might be useful to share the better route with guests

    9ManasPosted on: 2-10-2025

The courteous staff, ambience of the place, the village life around the Haveli.

It's around 35 km away from the Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

Excellent and courteous staff, decent food and atmosphere.

The rooms and washroom needs renovation.

    6SinghPosted on: 12-4-2024

Hotel is good. Staff is good. Good food also.

Location is not good. Hotel is located in inside the village. Food rates are very high. City is very far from hotel.

Good location en route between Bundi and Agra in a small village. Staff tried hard. Some of the food was good ( but a lot of it wasn't).

Suite was very disappointing with no view and badly decorated. Communal areas lacked character. Staff badly trained. Most of the food was poor. In need of maintenance.

    Thugs & Scam Property

Basically Thugs and Liars at this property. This place is in the wilderness situated far away from the main town in a remote village. I was travelling with a personal aide and driver. Because at this remote place nothing else was in sight, before checking in, I requested for drivers accommodation or my desire to go elsewhere. There was a night time manager who lied us into checking in, staff accommodation will be arranged for my staff. He took 1000 rupees in cash + also swiped my card for the room payment despite it being booked through booking.com. Once payment was made, his stand changed and started demanding Rs 3000 extra per staff. To pay almost 7000 room for 2 pax staff in the mid if the night and then pay 4k for myself was atrocious. When I protested. His staff came out with big sticks...I had to run for life and dial 100 to get police help......The managers changed his name thrice and that shows to what extent can they possibly go to dupe their guests here. A formal police complaint has been filed and also their management Rakesh Sharma is now investigating. Hope they fire such scoundrels and save their good name. Through cops we discovered the night time manager name is Umesh Chowdhry. Please be aware of this gang.....This is Rajasthan after all and anything can happen. Save your life!! I later stayed at Regenta a couple km away from this property and they had no problem in offering dormitory accommodations to both my staff and that too with no extra charges ! Way to go Regenta.....Thank You....Shame Amritara

Quaint Haveli amidst of small village, spacious room, pool is kids friendly can be accessible without much restriction on timings. nice for a group outing. love the food, yes can have more options around.Loved the Ghosht (Mutton).Great day outing options around likes of sanctuaries and forts.

nothing in specific but yes family travelling with kids be aware of Monkeys although staff takes care that part.

    9SinghPosted on: 7-16-2024

The staff is extremely nice and polite. They made sure that our stay was comfortable. Food was made fresh to order and we couldn't find any flaws in the preparations.

The air conditions were either old or not in proper condition as cooling was not up to the mark. Also the beds were very high and small

    7JyotiPosted on: 7-15-2024

Property was very good and Staff was very welcoming and well mannered..

    Food was too expensive ..

The place is very quiet and peaceful. It’s well designed and perfect if ur looking at a quaint comfortable haveli vintage stay.

Everything was brilliant! The staff was so good we didn’t feel like checking out.

The water in the swimming pool was quite dirty and the hotel is situated in a tiny village 10-15 km outside of Bharatpur
