    Pros +

    • We had a great family staying at Bimbi Park! We spent 3 nights in one of the solar powered cabins and had lot of fun spotting koalas! I also saw a couple of kangaroos; however, they are quite shy. The cabins had all you need for a short-term staying. Overall, a recommended place for a family get away.
    • Short walk to see the Koalas. Need to look way up but we seen a number of them.
    • Great location, exactly as described, mother and baby koala right in front of my pod. Pod was large and could comfortably fit two people. Grou is were well cared for and clean

    Cons -

    • I liked everything
    • We had 2 bedroom cabin. The double bedroom really needs bedside lamps. Living room needs small coffee tables by sofa. And salt and pepper would be super helpful

Love being so close to koalas! A mom and her baby were right outside in a tree from our room and many others in trees around park. We saw kangaroos outside in the field from our porch. Beautiful birds also. Wish we had stayed there 2 days. We stayed in the cabin facing the field. Large room

    I liked everything

Loved forest location with koalas and birds. Nice walks from lighthouse and at Maits rest

We were 2 hikers doing the great ocean walk. - Kiosk was a lifesaver- Drinking water to fill up bottles- Staff very friendly and helpful- easy check in/out- comfy cabin + room

    - no wi-fi in cabin (need to go closer to reception/kiosk)

    10AmandaPosted on: 10-12-2025

The cabin was so cozy and right under the Koalas! And there was a playground right outside for the kids to play on. There were also so many birds in the morning, we loved it.

We could have used a broom inside the cabin. So much sand was tracked inside and we didn’t have a way to sweep it up. But otherwise everything was great.

Loved staying here for 3 nights in a Deluxe Cabin! You can take your time to walk around and spot koalas, there was a baby koala near our cabin. We also saw some kangaroos on the field in front of our cabin and cockatoos up in the trees. It was comfortable, easy to cook a meal and the heater kept us warm. Near the lighthouse and good location to drive around the Otways and half an hour away from Apollo Bay.

Just a heads up if you are planning to do some work during your stay that requires an internet connection. There is only limited wifi at reception (not at the accommodation places) and no phone coverage if you want to use cellular data or be reachable for the home front unless you use Telstra. We managed to purchase a Telstra e-sim online and it worked well.

Koalas are just outside the window, and got all the facilities we needed

Have only limited time for showers, got four token for three people, three minutes for each token, and have to wait 10-15 seconds for hot water, it takes some courage to shower in the 5 degrees weather, kinda adds some adventurous taste to the trip, fun place to stay

The quick, efficient check in was great! Location was amazing, some great walks around.

Our stay at Bimbi park was exceptional. Koalas everywhere, friendly staff, well-appointed cabins and close to many sight seeing stops. Highly recommend a stay here.

The setting of the camp, bunks, and pods were intertwined with nature. It has got all the amenities needed despite being located far into the park.

The directions to the bunks/pods/camping site need to be explained well. Otherwise, you end up getting lost few times before you get to your facilities.

Enough firepits for everyone! Camping pod was fun, and location near the lighthouse is great. Also discounted tickets buying at the reception at Bimbi than at the lighthouse itself!

Camping pod was a little dark.

Nice location in Otway National Park. Many Koalas.

All was good. The bed in the cabin was not super comfortable.

    8MarkétaPosted on: 3-7-2025

Very nice calm place, ideal for camping. Good shared space (bathroom and kitchen), good place to have a barbecue. Clear instructions for late check-in. The koalas are very cute.

The kitchen could have been more equiped and the entrace to the cottage could have been a bit cleaner. It's a pitty that the fish and chips was not open any more.
