The Gulaal Hotel

Amazing views of the fort from the terrace. Very good breakfast. Excellent staff. Nice room with comfortable bed. Close to the city center. They offer a very nice desert safari with dinner.

A wonderful hotel with a magnificent view of the fort, beautiful, comfortable, and spacious rooms. A perfect swimming pool, massages, a great rooftop restaurant, and personalized service from the entire staff — from the hotel owners to the waiters. I enjoyed every moment.

The hotel is a bit far from the fort (a 15-minute walk), but that didn’t bother me. You can also order a rickshaw from the hotel that will take you anywhere you want for very low prices ($1-3). The hotel owner doesn’t try to profit from transportation costs and charges only the local rate.

The rooms were large and very clean. Virendra was a caring and attentive host who checked in with us frequently. Shibu at the restaurant was friendly and hard-working. Please make sure to tip the staff as you go along. They deserve it! The private desert trip that we arranged through the hotel was a once in a lifetime experience with a camel ride, sunset on the sand dunes and a freshly cooked vegetarian meal served under the stars!

It would nice to have a newer treadmill and stationary bike in the small gym

The room, the garden. Above all the friendliness nd the service. Virendra is fantastic, Babu is the sweetest and the most willing to help in every way. Ajay, the waiter, was incredible and Amit brought the pressing in lightening speed.

Lovely property in a quiet area 15 mins from the fort. Property was clean, staff were friendly and food was lovely. Had a nice pool area but we didn’t have time to use it.

Beautiful Haveli just outside on the main market area We only stayed for a day - didn’t sleep there as had an evening train - but wanted somewhere during the day after camel safari. Our room was spacious and clean and beautifully presented. The staff exceptionally helpful. The even had their driver take us to the station and help us on the train. The menu was good, had some Chinese dishes as well as Indian - made a pleasant change. ( vegetarian menu) We chilled by the pool and enjoyed a good massage in the spa. We were very pleased with our decision to stay here.

Great location, easy walk to the fort. Gadisar lake a short rickshaw ride away. Fantastic view from the roof terrace, friendly staff, lovely room.

This place is amazing! The hotel is beautiful and located in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive.

We both got massages in the spa and whilst the massages were good, the room was freezing. Could have done with an extra heater!

Everything about Gulaal was exceptional. They made our Jaisalmer trip a memorable one. If you are planning to visit Jaisalmer with family this is the best place to stay. Dont miss the special Rajasthani thali served at the roof top restaurant and the evening desert safari .Thanks Gulaal for the hospitality really appreciate it!!!!

An incredibly enjoyable and comfortable stay at the Gulaal Hotel with an amazing view of the fort! We were blown away by the beautiful Haveli style architecture and finishings. Our room was spacious, clean, beautifully furnished and had the comfiest bed of our entire stay in India. We had a gorgeous balcony area with a view out to the pool and garden. It really felt like a home away from home. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed our morning meditation sessions with Virendra. He and Babu were amazing during our stay and organised a driver to take us out to the desert camps. Our driver Gulab was incredible and we would highly recommend staying here and booking any day/multiple day excursions with him. We would book this beautiful accommodation again in a heart beat. The pool, rooftop area, all the staff and food was all just amazing.

Great location and fantastic hospitality, warmth by Virender ji and Babu Ji. Also, entire staff at the restaurant like Shibu, Singh, Biswajit were very helpful. Food preparation is extremely fresh, hot and delicious. Rooms are spacious and super clean. Very safe place and they help to organise autos for local city trips and long distance like longewal with their vehicle and driver Ghulab Singh who is very helpful too. Strongly recommend and will definitely stay again here.

The hotel serves only Veg food. The hotel has no elevator, which might be difficult for the aged people.

Everything ?. It is an outstanding property that is made in the traditional Rajasthani style and perfectly blended with all modern facilities. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious and have a completely traditional decor. The location is excellent with a beautiful view of Jaisalmer Durg ( Fort) from the terrace restaurant. The owner Shri Virender displays authentic Indian hospitality and was ever ready to help out with any extra need we had. The restaurant offers wonderful and delicious food. They have a lovely and perfectly maintained pool and a Spa alongside which offers a fantastic Ayurvedic Massage - We all went for it ?. I would strongly recommend Gulaal Haveli to everyone who wants the perfect stay in Jaisalmer.

We had an amazing stay at The Gulaal, in a spacious suite room, in a stunning, peaceful, and beautifully decorated Haveli, with amazing views of the Jaisalmer Fort and a lovely garden and pool area. The staffing team were very welcoming, helpful and professional. The food was superb, as were our massages, and the laundry service efficient. We would highly recommend The Gulaal, for a bit of peace and luxury in the desert.
