Jaisalmer Murad Haveli

Rooms are very clean, staff very helpful, great view from rooftop and close to the market. They organized a great camel safari too.

We stayed a total of 3 days in jaiselmer and this was one of the best places we saw. The staff were great, the rooms clean and the food and rooftop resteraunt, really good.We booked an overnight non touristic camel safari with the hotelThe whole event was well organised and professional.. The overnight location was in sand Dunes in a remote location. The camel ride there and back was certainly an experience. The overnight dinner and breakfast was very tasty and cooked in front of us as we sat around an open fire. Our beds were made up for us, with extra blankets in abundance. Woken up with chai whilst the camel man went to find where the camels had wandered off to feed.A once on a life time experience for us sleeping under the stars! Highly recommended .

Nothing Everything is perfect

Very comfortable rooms, wonderful views from the terrace, excellent food (I would recommend Raheim's Biriyani especially) and above all the kindest staff I have had the pleasure of staying with in any hotel I have stayed in, India or otherwise. They could not do enough particularly when I was ill, twice accompanying me to the doctor and hospital. Hasim also gave us a tour of the city which was very interesting, non touristy and for free. The safari was perfect, we saw no one else the time we were there and slept under the stars. I cannot write highly enough about every aspect of this hotel.

After having a couple of bad experiences in Indian hotels, the Murad Haveli came to give us the best experience of our trip. The hotel itself was so beautiful, the carvings and all the details made it a super cozy and nice place to go back to. The owner and the staff were the nicest people we had the pleasure of meeting, we mentioned how much we loved lassi and they gave us a private lesson on how they made their super delicious mix fruit lassi smoothie. My friends and I are somewhat digital nomads and while we visited the city during the day, we worked all night under the stars in their beautiful rooftop lounge with the amazing Golden fort view. Our train out of Jaisalmer left at 3 am on a Sunday and they not only allowed us to stay in our room till our departure time (without charging us anything for that night!) but the owner Hasim also took us himself to the train station, helped us find our train and helped us carry our bags all the way to our cart.When I come back to india, I will definitely stay more in this marvelous city in this hotel that felt like our home on ! (Plus, their desert safari is a must do that if it's not in your bucket list, it should noW!!!)

We stayed for 4 nights at Murad Haveli and couldn't be happier with the experience.Throughout our stay, all the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. We had to extend our stay because my boyfriend was ill, and we were given a more comfortable and spacious room to stay in and one of the staff members (Hasim) took us to the doctors and pharmacy on two separate occasions. Another staff member (Murad) showed us around the ancient streets of Jaipur and we shared chai with him at his favourite place. The receptionist Rahem was so friendly and made it clear from the start that if we wanted anything at all we were to ask. The staff described us as their family, and it really felt like that! We had a late bus the day we returned from the safari and they have a room dedicated to showering/keeping all your belongings and relaxing, which was great. The wifi is good. The beds are super comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious. Everything was super clean. The location is also excellent, 10 minute walk to the fort and even closer walk to some restaurants and shops.It was super easy to organise the camel safari and desert trip with them, and that was a brilliant experience and was good value for money (3500 rupees per person for everything) The two guides on that were great.10/10 place - would 100% recommend you stay here in Jaisalmer!

We had an excellent stay. They were so helpful from start to finish - after I booked Hasim quickly got in touch to arrange everything, we were picked up from the train station, and because we were arriving late (after 11pm, the kitchen closing at 10:30pm), they took a food order and kept the food back for us until we had arrived. The room was big and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace is fantastic - beautiful view, very peaceful. Delicious breakfast. They also organised our overnight Desert Safari for us, which was absolutely brilliant, and when we got back we were given access to a room for a shower and to change, and then we could leave our bags there all day before our night train. They could not do enough for us, it was wonderful.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful with whatever you need. Rooms are clean and lots of hot water. The rooftop restaurant is cool and has a Amazing Golden fort view. We also went on their desert trip and it was amazing, about an hours drive, well away from the horrible tourist camps at Sam, it was the perfect end to our trip. Best hotel in town I reckon.

It was my first visit to Murad haveli with friends and it was truly a memorable experience for us. Especially all' the staff were so friendly and welcoming. And the room was quite clean and comfortable combined with the rich cultural ambiance, excellent service, From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable, with a friendly and professional staff ready to assist with any need. The check-in process was easy and smooth and the hotel location was magnificent with a view of Jaisalmer fort. Overall, [Murad haveli ] exceeded my expectations and provided a memorable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting [Jaislamer], and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Murad haveli very much. They are very welcoming and so incredibly helpful, taking care of you where they can. Organised pick-up and drop-off from and to railway/bus stations, giving tips and also organizing a great desert safari that was a special experience. You feel as if you can ask them about anything at any time. Greatly recommended!

The rooftop restaurant on the hotel is beautiful, with its panoramic view of the fort, and the food is very tasty and reasonable. I wish I could have spent more time there. The room has everything you need. It is clean and very comfortable, with both aircon and a strong fan so you can switch between. The owners were very friendly and helped me out a great deal when I was ill, going well out of their way caring for me. They also met me when I got off the train, and arranged an onward bus for me, which was very helpful. Location is perfect, at the foot of the fort.

I visited at the end of September.I made a reservation for two consecutive nights and was thinking of participating in a camel safari afterwards. However, the owner, Mr. Hasim, said that the camel safari is tiring, so it would be better to go on the camel safari earlier and stay one night afterwards to relax, and he kindly changed my reservation.As a result, I was very tired from the camel safari, so I was grateful for his suggestion.The room was very clean, the air conditioner worked, and the shower always had hot water. Therefore, I was able to stay very comfortably.They were flexible in picking me up and dropping me off from the train station, and they also told me about many delicious restaurants, so it was a really good stay.The city of Jaisalmer itself is a very beautiful and wonderful city, and I would like to visit again and stay at this hotel again!

Let me begin by saying that I have not seen this type of service anywhere else in India or even back in the US. From the moment we stepped off the train, Hasim were waiting for us to arrive with an AC jeep (tons of space for our bags) and brought us straight to the hotel free of charge. We were immediately checked into a beautiful suite and Hasim met us at the rooftop restaurant shortly after to offer us chai and answer any questions we had. He was very helpful with anything we asked.Since we came in the Rahem, and it's extremely hot right now, we decided to book the half day desert safari. Daniel was very happy to take us out into the desert, even though we were such a small group. He gave us an amazing experience that we will never forget. The camel safari is definitely worth it even if you can only do a half day, but certainly don't miss out. Daniel will go above and beyond to make sure that you have everything you need for your trip and he always has some fun stories to share (plus he speaks many other languages).All in all, Murad haveli is one of the best places that I have stayed. The rooms are beautiful, the property is very well maintained, and the service is impeccable. The only improvement that |can suggest is to strengthen the wifi signal throughout the property because our room was very spotty, but that's literally the only thing I would change about this place. We are definitely returning and can't wait to see everyone again! Thank you for an amazing time in Jaisalmer.

Awesome Home Stay, Hasim and his crew make you feel like family the entire stay. Just a super gracious host! We booked here because we read they do a great overnight Camel Safari and we were not disappointed! We will miss the beautiful views dining and having Chai on the roof top!

Good stay.They also have a small cafe ( Barn cafe) on roof terrace- while it does not look any special, food was excelent and staff very nice

All the staff are kind and friendly.If you have any questions, you can always consult with us.You can see Fort from Ruhr Top, and the location is great as it's close to the bus stop.We arrived by train at 4:30 am and the staff came to pick us up and were very helpful.Wifi is fast and the rooms are clean. You can also rent a kettle.As for the shower, it was the hottest shower I've had in India!This is a guest house with very good cost performance.I went on a safari tour with my family and it was a wonderful experience.We go to a different desert than the ones we usually go to on other tours, so it's really quiet and awesome!The sunsets and sunrises were both very beautiful, and at night I had the most beautiful starry sky I've ever seen.The rice we had for desert was also very delicious.Our safari guide, Mr. Durga, was also a very nice and interesting person, and we enjoyed our day in the desert!This is Murad haveli that we highly recommend

Perfect place to stay in Jaisalmer not far away from the fort but the best is the host who are extrememely nice and kind ! Hasim make my experience here really nice I couldn’t have more. Everything. The room was nice and clean, but the most amazing thing in this hotel was the staff. They made us feel very welcomed since the beginnins and let us stay in another room free of charge the last day after the check-out, because it was extremely hot and it was very difficult to walk around the city in the afternoon. Plus, they have a pick-up service and we highly appreciate it. Thank you so much!

The most delightful hosts who go far out of their way to ensuring that their guests' visits are enjoyable, comfortable, and homey. They are probably the most gracious and congenial hosts that I have ever experienced during my travels in India (and I was an older female traveling alone). So, if you're looking for a conveniently located place to stay, whether in the form of a hotel room or a bunk bed in a hostel room, where you can feel welcome, relaxed and able to ask about (or for) just about anything related to your stay in Jaisalmer, I highly recommend Murad Haveli.

If you have the opportunity to stay at Murad Havelli while you are in Jaisalmer, don’t hesitate for one second. It is the most amazing combination of place and people. The location is unbeatable, the decorations in the rooms are stunning, and the view from the rooftop of the fort is unmatched (and we visited several rooftops in our 3 day stay in the city)!And the comfort and beauty isn’t even the most spectacular part about the place - it’s the family team that runs it. Hasim and Rahim were beyond gracious hosts. We were greeted with Rahim warm masala chai or coffee every time we came “home” and visited the roof and his food was excellent - tasty and made to order. Hasim sat with us several times on the roof to chat about the city, the surrounding villages, and answer any questions we had. After our first night at Murad, we were checking out to spend a night at a desert camp, and Hasim and Rahim offered to us to keep our bags there all day while we walked around, and then also have us drop our bags off there when we came back from the safari! While waiting for our train, we not only had a place for our bags, but also to rest on their beautiful rooftop. When it was time to head to the train station, they insisted on getting our auto rickshaw for us - and wouldn’t accept payment. The team at Murad truly made us feel a part of their community and made our experience in Jaisalmer unforgettable. We would go back in a heartbeat and hope you get to experience their genuine and unparalleled hospitality.
