Bay cottages was perfect for us, lovely quiet area, close to beach, the bed was huge and very comfortable. Well set up for any length of stay.

The location of the cottage is within 5 minutes of the South Bay walk and 10 minutes from the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway. Its location near to the South Bay is extremely beautiful and the dolphins coming to the shallow bay (just across the road) in early morning is a great view. The cottage is also well equipped with amenities including washing machine and entertainment like Netflix. The WiFi is also good.

Cottage 5 had a view of the ocean from the kitchen area. We liked having the heated mattress pad and the electric fire place kept the room warm. Loved walking across the street to the beach, lots of good beach combing. Very quiet and relaxing and close to town.

Quiet and clean and a good size

A great spot. The accommodation was clean & the bed was so comfortable (a super king).

There was no toiletries such as soap for the shower. The people next yo us were noisy though that's not the owners fault.

Great location, across the road from the beach and walking distance to the seal colony. Nice walk to the town centre over the hill. Very peaceful being at the rear of the property. The kitchen was very well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Small outside eating area. Highly recommend this accommodation for a peaceful relaxing stay.

Lovely quiet location a short drive from town. Lovely bay just across the road.

Kitchen could have been a bit better equipped (sieve or colander, more than one set of cutlery, bigger frying pan).

Dont mind that the cottage was old, it was clean, and location was excellent, but shower was terrible and overall just not value for money.

Rather far away from city it was very helpful that the owner brought us to the city with his beautiful Jaguar.

Very nice to have a whole cottage to ourselves! Friendly staff, clean cottage and good location. Not in the town center but close enough for us. Wonderful place to stay for a few nights. The owners had two very cute cats.

The pots and pans in the kitchen were a bit small, which made it difficult to prepare a bigger meal.The cottage didn't smell very 'fresh' when we arrived, but some fresh air fixed this quickly enough.
