Sudima Kaikoura

Very friendly staff and excellent service! Rooms were lovely and very clean.

The fitness center floor was dirty and still not cleaned by the next day.

Nice clean room and bed

No breakfast option. We are not big eaters so wanted a small breakfast, was no option, just buffet.

Was able to check in early at no extra cost, was fascinated by the pillow service! Staff really friendly and helpful.

Beds were advertised as queen but didn’t feel like a queen would have preferred a bigger bed.

Stunning location. Seems new and contemporary finishes. Corner suite was stunning. Two huge balconies, large sitting area and immaculate bathroom with soaker tub and walk in shower.

Great location right next to a nice pebble beach and a 2min walk to Encounter Dolphin Tours accross the road.Our room was sufficiently sized and all facilities are still as good as new.

No availability of even just 30min late checkout time which would have helped a lot due to a collision with the ending of a prearranged half-day tour. Impersonal front desk assistance. Rather high pricing compared to similar choices in other tourist locations on the Southern Island during high season.

A great nice hotel across from beach, staff, room, location all good

After a day of driving and sight seeing I like to return to my room and watch tv but the hotel didn't have any sort of internet tv...no international news, sports, movies hard to believe in todays world

Good location in Kaikoura. Easy parking on the street even though the lot was full.

We had a lovely stay at The Sudima Kaikoura. Room was very clean and the view was perfect. Would recommend staying at this hotel. The bar and restaurant was also a great bonus. Would stay here again.

We loved the newness and esp the location AND views from the rooms. we would have preferred a few more room facilities but get that its a hotel not a motel. the pool was DIVINE and the staff were all amazing. the kids were treated to the buffet but told us it wasn't as good as they were hoping - but that the people were so nice :) EXCELLENT location and the hotel had lovely interiors.

Breakfast perfect, location of Hiku Restaurant beautiful. Loved that Jazz was playing when we entered our room. Scenic view room was perfect.

The beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent and the view gorgeous.

The lack of tea making supplies and the small kettle.

Had to keep reminding housekeeping staff to have our room serviced and we had no dry towels or clean cups etc. We were staying during the beach hop weekend and I don’t think they had enough staff to cope with the large number of guests.

The hotel is located in a nice area, but the room lacked freshness. Cooking smells from the restaurant seeped into the room, and there was no window for fresh air. It seemed like the odor was coming through the AC vent and door, and I regret booking this place. It's not worth the money. While the restaurant has a good vibe, the food was just okay, and I didn't feel that the seafood was fresh. It was pricy.

So child-friendly and kind. They gave us a special toy and kids pack at the restaurant. We had the most stunning views of the mountains.
