Lovely quaint place to stay. Sylvia was very welcoming and friendly. Well stocked with everything we needed.
We stayed in the family cottage and it was very comfortable with everything we needed. Only 35 min drive from the start of the Heaphy Track so perfect for the night before our walk.
It was so quaint! I loved it as central to most places you want to visit. The Hosts were fabulous. I wished I could have stayed longer. I was dropping walkers at the Heaphy Track. Keen to come again to stay longer
Good location, comfortable, excellent host
Just needed a kitchen sink
A lovely quaint little spot! Great hosts. Upgraded to Garden Cottage. Lovely outdoor areas with great seating. Spacious. Being able to leave car out front when going on the Spit tour.
A little mould starting in joints in shower.
The location and actual cottage were attractive.
The lighting was inadequate. I was unable to read in the poor light. The shower had poor pressure, and the towels didn’t absorb well.
Ideally located by the beach and the Main Street for joining our Farewell Spit tourA warm welcome from our host
Lovely host, very comfy beds, super clean. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay again.
Charming stay in a little village.
No screen on the window to allow airflow without all the bugs coming in. Our current lodging has the exact same window style and has a pull down roller screen.
Spacious rooms and location was ideal for our booked tour.
No Air conditioning although we did have a fan, thankyou
The host was very welcoming. Our studio was larger van expected and felt romy. Having tea/coffee supplies and a small fridge was great.
Amazing hotel with spacious owner. Room big with kitchen and good shower. Great restaurant right close to hotel with amazing breakfast.
All been great!
The Motel is a great location for visiting Farewell Spit and surrounding area. Local amenities (all good) are just across the road, especially The Old Courthouse.Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy, pity it was raining while I was there.Welcoming Hostess.
Was handy to many great places to visit. Beaches, Farewell Spit, walks etc
This great little cottage had everything we needed. There was also 2 beautiful outdoor spaces with lovely gardens. Very quick walk to town and beach with grassy dunes. One of the cleanest and best stocked accommodations we’ve stayed in in New Zealand.
Loved everything about this property and location. Wished we’d planned a longer stay!
Had free parking
Wasn't a motel, was a room inside an old villa, windows didn't open to let fresh air in. Room door opened into hall but front door was shut. Very stuffy especially over night. Bed was uncomfortable, towels were thin and old. The only handbasin was in the bathroom. Pillows were soft and gave no support. Room felt very claustrophobic.
The room was very comfortable and fairly well equipped.
Apartment was located in a back garden, so no views. Some facilities were getting a bit dated.
Our room was in the old police station, a lovely old building in a very nice setting, and just off the beach. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable visit to Collingwood and the north.A friendly welcome and lots of useful information from Sylvie.Would definitely recommend
