Collingwood Park Motel

Good location for visiting Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit. Has a little kitchenette, good hot water and WiFi. There’s a laundry room. The downstairs bed is comfortable.

A bit dated but fine for a short visit.

The staff was polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

No Satellite TV or freeview working just TV NZ. Very hard beds and quite small especially for a family.Quite tired and in need of refurbishment especially for the price.

The host Amber is really helpful and kind and gave us helpful tips on the limited food and beverages choice around the area. The room is really clean especially the utensils present which shows a great effort in cleaning. The outside view parking area is amazing especially in the morning

Frequent food traffic just outside the room is unavoidable but manageable as everyone is nice and courteous. The WiFi is intermittent so need to have own data plan to supplement.

Clean and comfortable accommodation with helpful staff in central location in village. We had everything we needed.

We dont like having to sit on the bed to watch TV. The chairs around the table were very uncomfortable. No plug point in the bathroom.

Breakfast not applicable, but we found the room to be well appointed, had all the things we required and more and was conveniently located. Amber was very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoy our two-night visit.

Room was compact downstairs, ok for 2 people, although beds upstairs family would find it crowded.

Lovely peaceful motel. Plenty to see and do on our three night stay. Amber was very helpful. Beautiful sunset views over the water from our room.

Very nice staff and a nice setting. Outdoor table for dining by the sea is very attractive and peaceful if the weather is good. The room was comfortable and reasonably priced.

A few details. Bin for kitchen. Sliding door to bathroom hard to open, TV needs to be enabled for streaming. Noisy car alarm waking us on 2 nights - other guest.

The location was perfect. It was across the road from the Farewell Spit tour we were going on and an excellent cafe is also over the road from it. Amber the Manager was exceptional - she was super helpful and gave us some great advice. There is also an On the Spot down the road which had great sandwiches and everything you need. We liked the two story unit as our daughter could have her own space upstairs and my husband and I had the main room.

Location is absolutely in the middle of town. It is a very small town. Sandflies are a problem - take repellant.

Located perfectly between tour office, cafe and pub! Very clean and tidyReally liked to BBQ tepanyaki grill, shared outdoors. Made grilling chicken easy, and our room didn’t smell.

Minor issue. Slightly challenging to cook a meal with one pot and a frypan. An extra pot and possibly a fruit bowl would be helpful too.

Location was perfect close to all amenities and attractions. Facilities were great and unit was very comfortable.
