Located right in the center of Wanaka, this motel is a 30-minute drive from the Cardrona and Treble Cone ski fields. Lake Wanaka is only 328 feet away. All rooms and apartments at Aspiring Lodge Wanaka offer free WiFi, a refrigerator and a hairdryer. All include heating and electric blankets. Cooking facilities are available in some units. Location
Location was very good as it was so close to the waterfront and social hub. Despite being directly adjacent to a main thoroughfare it was still reasonably quiet.

Cons -

It was very dated. Everything needs a freshen up
Accommodation is a bit tired and outdated. For such a premium location, the expectation would be that the facilities would be of a better quality. There had obviously been a leak happening for sometime which had not been remedied. The place smelt unpleasant, and we only realised the extent of the problem when we encountered the wet carpet. We definitely appreciated being moved to a different room once we approached the management.
