Lake Wanaka Lodge

This is a standard motel room.

Good location, a short walk to town. Very nice outdoor seating area with hot tub if requested. Beautiful gardens with a stream running under the lodge.

Bathroom was dated but the room was clean. No complaints.

Great location a short walk from the water front and restaurants. Friendly owner and clean room. Nice gardens if you want to sit out in the evening.

The shower head kept falling on you which made washing awkward. The room was pretty cramped and stuffy with two people and our luggage.

The rooms were spacious and the bathroom facilities were sufficient.

We had two rooms that supposedly had double beds, but the beds were in fact two single beds put together. And not just the base of the beds, which often is the case, they had chosen to put double sheets over two single mattresses to try and create a double bed. However, this just created a big dip were the two mattresses met, and made for quite uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. The rooms were also not particularly clean, it was very noisy and the staff on reception were best described as children (literally!!) who couldn't provide assistance when required. We also had a complete power cut in the morning which the staff didn't provide any explanation or assistance in relation to.

The unit was a little stuffy and hot, and only a small fan was provided. A bigger one is needed as you can't get any cross breeze due to the door opening into an inside hallway. The shower door is rather stiff.

Used soap bar left in shower, shower hose/head tied up with string. Outdated, very old appliances. Receptionist barely spoke English.

Great location, just a short walk from the lakefront and a big supermarket. Comfortable room with a small balcony, beautiful views from the shared terrace. Helpful staff

Extremely hot upstairs with only a small fan to cool the room. Plumbing issues meant our toilet had problems flushing.

Basic enough. Had fridge in room but no cooking facility only kettle. Small rooms & a bit tired looking. Only slept & left again. Couldnt see lake from room

The property is located in a quiet street and is tastefully decorated. The amenities are functional and comfortable. The staff was helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The shower door is difficult to close but considering the property is quite old, it is expected.
