- The best host I've ever met. Is a charming farm to stay, amazing views, clean, etc.
- Amazing experience with great long table dinner starting with an amazing grazing board as history of the house was recounted by the very entertaining Gordon. Lovely private room by river with great shower.
- Magnificently presented working farm environment, with added bonus of a golf course, excellent event venue and fantastic surrounds and views.

- A little more open about costs involved with evening predinner drinks and nibblesCost of bottle of wine (local) for dinner.Capitalized on unavailability of any other eateries close by - but then again, it was unique
- I chose the stay as a stopover from Hobart to Strahan, wish we had stayed two nights. The golf is very quaint, but an isolated place.

We arrived after our planned time, so they had to make several adjustments to our check-in. The communication was excellent and I wish we had more time to explore the property.
A historic homestead just oozing with interesting information about the very early colonial settlement of Tasmania. It has a king size bed and rain shower in the bathroom. Make sure you order a fabulous three course dinner sitting with other guests and the host who fills in the story of the homestead. We also played golf on the oldest course in Australia which is on the property. Such a treat!
A very special farm stay with a fascinating history. The owners and staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The old golf course is unique and well worth playing, quite challenging too. Our accommodation, the Farrier room, was spacious and very comfortable, part of a larger out building with a well stocked communal kitchen and laundry facilities. We dined in as part of the large communal group. It was an enjoyable evening with delicious local food. We would highly recommend this unique, golf course, farm stay.
The ambience of the facility, welcoming and the accommodation. Freedom to wander around

Lovely hearing the history of the property. How it statretd up to modern times.Peter our host was very obliging he spoke to all of us some 15 at dinner using the history book of the property. Most enjoyable evening and stay

Disappointed with the room one bedroom premium I was offered .. misled by photos on booking .com which were def not of the room we were offered .. we were then offered a larger room but in the barracks … truly disappointed with the accomodation ….The dinner night held in the homestead was ok .. bagpipes as we arrived , Informative half hour with drinks and cheeses then dinner … .i was told vegan was catered for …mmmm 3 fritters is the meal provided with sides that were not vegan. Ice cream and apple crumble also not vegan .. 65 dollars steep price to pay for fritters ..we didn’t play golf but looked interesting ..there were people there on deals with luxury escapes that got extras included so may be that’s why we weren’t in the better room ..
The location is rich in history. The dinners and breakfasts are excellent. The bedrooms are well-renovated and comfortable.
Lovely quaint cottage. Owner was very welcoming. Rich history. No complaints. Keep in mind this is a farmstead and is a wonderful peaceful area.
Lovely renovated rooms, very spacious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Very nice room, I just wasn't aware the room was in amongst 3 other rooms I think and common kitchen. There was only 1 other person there at the time which I was glad. Would have preferred room on our own in separate space which they did have. Just my personal feeling.
A fabulous experience in a beautiful setting. The highlight of our Tasmanian trip thus far. Beautifully restored cottage in a warm and friendly environment. The golf course was a wonderful addition, as was the food.
Having to leave!
Dinner was excellent - both the food and the maître d's entertaining outline of the history of the area and the property
The experience of staying in the old buildings that were very nicely decorated and learning of the history that surrounds the property was really nice.
Sadly, no hot water for a late shower and had to go to another room the next morning to enable a shower.
Very charming rural property where the old farm buildings have been converted into very comfortable accommodation. It is worth paying the extra to have dinner included in your stay, where you sit down to dinner along long dining tables with other guests. The food was a wonderful home cooked farm styled meal. During the meal the hosts informed you to the history of the farm .
The farmhouse dinner with the other guests was very enjoyable. It turned out to be a fun night and the home cooked meals were delicious and made a welcome change from takeaways and restaurant style fare.
We had an upstairs room which had low sloping ceilings below head height which proved to be quite inconvenient. (and a bit dangerous)There was also nowhere to sit and eat meals indoors (other than on the beds).
I booked this stay last minute and what a gem. The most unique and memorable experience from the lovely grounds to eating delicious dinner and breakfast with fellow guests. Sharing stories of life and travels was just fabulous. The wonderful hosts deserve high ratings as this place is a must to visit.
Location is a bit remote but it's charming and a very historical place.Very serene with the golf course around.
The room was somewhat unfinished and didn't have any table or bench for the microwave and coffee/tea facilities.
