    Pros +

    • Parking onsite Large spacious room Close to main Street area
    • Room was fairly large. Restaurant was convenient and fairly priced. Parking was easily accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful.Location was close to town and easy to get to. We didn't have a view, but I bet the rooms on the water side of the building had great views
    • The breakfast was great and my room was really good, quiet and clean.

    Cons -

    • No where to boil kettle for tea or coffee, had to use the power point near the floor, room is very spacious,a couch and coffee table would be useful and a better area for the TV/ tea and coffee making, furniture is old and not practical
    • The building itself is noisy. We could hear the TV and people in the unit above us. The raised floors seemed to make things louder. Also, hearing the people dragging suitcases down the stairs at 4:30am was not a great way to wake up. (I appreciated the signage reminding people to be quiet and most were very respectful.)While the bathroom was large, the shower was oddly tiny and uncomfortable to use.
    • The hot water at check-in was too hot and in the morning stone cold for some reason.

    location and view were good.

the way the curtains are installed makes it impossible to get the room dark. there is a gap between the curtain and the wall that cannot be closed. in a place where the summer days are very long, it is important to have blackout curtains that seal out the light.

    Good location

Menu very average. Rude staff at the front. Hotel outdated, feels like a nursing home. not kids friendly. do not recommend

The hotel is located in a beautiful area close to Bay of Fires and Peron Dunes and it also has a nice layout, with rooms and a restaurant facing the water.

The hotel rooms are very outdated and it's not enjoyable for a long stay. Value for money isn't great but most likely they charge that much because of lack of options in the area. This hotel has massive potential so I hope that some renovations will start soon. Start with 5 or 10 rooms at a time and slowly renovate them all.

Awesome location and friendly staff. Rooms are large and comfortable. Full pub meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you desire.Showers could be a little larger, but wter is hot and pressure is good.

Good location. Impressive larger hotel. There are several wings, some 2 story. On site food available for breakfast and dinners. It was suggested we needed to book for main meal but not breakfast. Friendly and informative receptionist. Quiet large room on first floor. We thought it might be noisy as it was next to stairwell but there is heavy carpet on stairs and hallways. Also signs to remind guests to be quiet. Everything worked in room. There was an outside balcony overlooking main entrance, carpark and garden. Easy free carparking. We had 2 double beds in room. There was filtered water available in the lounge area to fill your water bottles. A pleasant stay

A lift would have been more convenient to get luggage up to our room. Perhaps suggest you request ground floor when booking room. The bottom sheet and mattress protector did not form a tight fit on bed and therefore had uncomfortable creases in it and moved all night. The mattresses are on the soft side. The toilet paper was the worlds thinnest!?

    Comfortable bed. Great views.

If you are charging for a spa room, please ensure the spa actually works. Having a bathroom light linked with exhaust fan noise does nothing to enhance relaxation.

Great location and views. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The shower was very small and outdated.

    9HollyPosted on: 10-28-2025

Location is great, big room with tea and coffee and biscuits, whole building had some character which was nice. Can walk along the waterfront or visit nearby cafe's.

The view and location was perfect for why we were there. We were looking for a relaxing time away - and that is what we got. The bar was nice with a great view and a beautiful and warm fires (it was very cold outside).

There were a couple of things. The spa was smallish and the gets were not great and you were not allowed to use it after 8:30. Really - what is the point of having it. Service was slow when checking in - waited at least 10 minutes whilst the one person wondered aroung the restaurant on the phone. Surely there is a need for more staff. Also (it is a small thing) but there was no soaps etc on the first night.

Beautiful view over the bay. It felt like we were on the edge of a bird sanctuary.

Hotel looks to be in the process of being renovated with some work still required externally. But this wasn't a major issue.

The location was excellent, the hotel charming very Hampton in style, the restaurant and Seafood platter for 2 was fabulous.

There was nothing overly wrong with anything however the 1980's bathroom certainly didn't do the hotel justice, I hope they are in the process of renovating them which would entail a large job due to the size of the hotel accommodation, many rooms to be updated.

Lovely hotel in a great setting. St Helens is a lovely spot with supermarket and cafes. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean with basic amenities. One suggestion I would make is book a coastal room and not a garden view, much nicer.

Unfortunately the rooms around us were being renovated at the time so builders, painters and electricians were on the job early, so no sleeping in. There was a strong paint smell and our lights were switched off while we were trying to get ready to go out. Not ideal. It is a large hotel and we should have been given another room away from all this.

    9MarijkePosted on: 4-29-2025

The room had all facilities for a disabled person, wide hobless shower, rails etc.Diner was very good for dinner and breakfast.Life music on the Sunday afternoon, on the deck, well done.

Beds were small, and springs were noticeable.
