Hotel Varuna

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived on a morning flight and they let me check in before noon. The bed was really comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The location was excellent with everything in El Cable within an about a 5 minute walk.

The toilet water pressure was really bad. The remote control blinds sometimes opened or closed themselves. There were no cups, extra towels, etc. in the room. I accidentally used my electronic key on the wrong room but it still worked.

Do not have bidet shower the fruit is good but the rest of the breakfast is really very bad.

Spacious room with couch and two comfortable chairs. Probably the quietest Hotel I've stayed at in Columbia, the windows don't have much soundproofing but it was quiet at night. The staff is professional, friendly and accommodating. Very nice views from the restaurant and well attending staff. Cleaning staff are good at what they do too.

The only complaint is noise from the street side window but it was minor. One consistent issue with cities I've stayed at in South America is the allowance of motorcycles and cars with loud mufflers. Hotels should work together to encourage City management to ban modified mufflers and reduce noise from car alarms.

The location is convenient

As soon as you get to the hotel they ask for your credit card and charge your entire stay right away. As soon as they get their money they let you know that no guests are allow past the lobby or you will be charged 80,000 pesos. Pictures show a gym, well they DO NOT HAVE ANY GYM EQUIPMENT. The hotel is supposed to have a jacuzzi. Well is is out of service. Don’t get me started with the wifi. It is a complete joke. Let’s talk about my room. It seems the bathroom has been fixed multiple times, floor, painting are peeling, towel hooks don’t work. Shower clogs and water pools as you take a shower. Doors need to be slammed in order to be closed. Be ready to be woken up as other guests slam their doors closed. My room looked nothing as in the pictures. This hotel is not a 3 start hotel AT ALL. It is more like a hostal with elevator. I paid three nights and left after the second. Good bye forever hostal Varuna

WE LOVED BREAKFAST GREAT STAFF. VERY ATTENTIVE. WE REALLY LIKED HOW THE BREAKFAST WAS DONE AND THE ATTENTION OF THE SERVERS TO POUR YOUR DRINK AND TO BE 100% COMFORTABLE AT THE HOTEL.

The breakfast. It is really one thing the hotel must improve. A very poor breakfast offer, nothing special preparation.

Breakfast is what they serve, no choices. Restaurant is only for breakfast. No snacks, empty refrigerator. Hot water isn't sufficient for 2 people and not tempered, prepare to step aside

Hotel did not have wi/fi neither it had a control remote handy! I had to call twice before a guy from downstairs came to bring me a control and told that they not have one

Location and breakfast

The stay had all the comfort required, the only thing they could change to improve it’s about the tv cable, a very poor channel’s catalog, other than that, cleanness, comfort, staff and breakfast were excellent.

It’s location was good, near important business area. Workers were always trying to of help.

Breakfast was very small, the hot chocolate didn’t have any flavor, totally water down. The one extra blanket in the room had a bad odor. The hotel didn’t have kitchen service after breakfast. Room didn’t have the safety chain. Elevator was not working properly, scary.
