Nice staff and great location

You had to make a coffee right next to the television and we had a couple of white tail spiders in our room.

Very comfortable accommodation - large rooms and beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. Close to main centre and only a short walk to all attractions in the town.

The apartment was amazing, the staff at reception were lovely

The paint looks a little tired and the bathroom a little outdated, but the views were incredible

All rooms are advertised to be with a lake view which is not really accurate. 2nd room we stayed in was facing a very street facing other buildings with a glimpse of the lake on left side.

Staff were very polite and helpful. They tried their best to accommodate our needs.

There is no provision to heat baby food or milk. There is limited parking so high chances you may have to park on street

Not very much it was very tied looking and old fashioned very expensive for what it was lake view was a bit artistic in discription The staff were disinterested and were in the back office more than on reception

See above I could go on and one we travel through New Zealand extensively it was the most expensive hotel a the worst one of all l would never recommend it You’re ready on the location for such a large group you should be really ashamed of yourselves I would give you a one for location only

Well layed out rooms and a handy location. This place was good value for the money paid. We had bar snacks there and they were very good, we would stay again

We couldn't check into our room when we arrived due to a delay in cleaning, when we did check in the room had a strong curry like odor in it. We got used to it but noticed it everytime we entered the room after leaving.

Location, easy to reach from the town centre. Public transport on door step,no too many floors.

Room interior very old, wall plaster falling apart, shower cannot control only one position. carpet very old.We stayed five nights and we asked only once to make our room but even hasn’t been vacuumed the floors.very tiny bin provided wasn’t enough.

It is well located and only 20 minute walk to town. The room was spacious and even had a bath. All staff were excellent and really helpful. Having a free car park was a bonus.

Great lake and mountain views from all rooms. Room was spacious with good storage, beds clean and comfortable. Housekeeping very thorough. .Bathroom clean but a little tired. General exterior paint refurbishment is needed. Breakfast generally good. Sometimes a little delay in refilling some items.

Bathroom a bit tired. Flooring in our bathroom clean but permanent staining. Exterior of building needs some maintenance. No air conditioning meant rooms were quite hot at night when we were there.

When we first arrived into the apartments we were a little disappointed as thought it was a little 'tired' looking, but the view from the balcony was amazing and this far outweighed the slightly dated decor. The space we had in the apartment was superb. The bathrooms (which seemed more updated) and kitchen area were immaculately clean as was the rest of the apartment. Beds were very comfortable and the staff at main reception & cleaning team were very friendly & helpful. The walk into town was easy enough, a slight elevation on the way back but an easy steady walk. We would definitely stay here again if we were lucky enough to visit NZ as that view (especially the sunsets) and the balcony were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The location wasn't bad.

The carpet was century old. Expected a higher story of the hotel but got the ground floor.

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was in a good location for us. Adequate parking although not always easy to get into and out of with a large vehicle.

Facilities available were not as advertised nor as advised by staff. We were unable to get any food after 9pm in spite of being told that there was room service available after 10.30pm. Rooms were dated and shabby. Staff didn't seem particularly caring.

The two-bedroom apartment on the top floor has beautiful and clear views of the lake. It's the same as advertised. The apartment was spot clean. The staff were polite while we checked in. We loved our stay at the Copthorne.

For a more welcoming experience, it would be wonderful to see a small welcome kit in the room, perhaps with cooking or local snacks.
