St James Apartments

Reception staff were good. We liked being able to store our bags after checkout.

The drive lighting wasn't working at night making it hard to see where we were going.

The location was fantastic. Also the heated floors in the bathroom and kitchen.

There was never anyone at the reception.

Close to town. Good kitchen

A full kitchen but one frypan with almost no Teflon. No oil. No basics. No salt or no pepper. No tissues or paper towel.

The apartment on the 3rd floor had high ceilings and a sliding glass door opening to a lovely balcony with a small table and chairs so the place was filled with light. The jacuzzi bathtub was a nice extra in the master bedroom. The proximity to the streets with all of the shops and restaurants was the best part! The TV worked well. Kitchen was large.

One chair at the dining room table had a bent leg so I couldn't sit at the table for dinner with the others. I notified the reception. It's a little confusing that you go to the 2nd floor to access your 3rd floor room until we realized that after entering our door, we climbed a set of stairs to the next level.

Location was within walking distance to downtown Queenstown. We were able to get a refund on one of our nights due to room conditions. Not sure if this was the lodging or Booking but grateful for that.

Almost everything else. Small chain lock on the door (and that was all the security), dirty couch pillows, mold in the bathroom shower/bath, fan was filthy, extra blankets and pillows tossed on the floor of the closet, lobby was piled with bags of laundry and no dedicated front desk person. Ugh…it was awful. Even though we were staying for 2 nights, we check out.

Excellent location saved the day only a sones throw from the town, and roomy apartment.

The shower needs to be improved, the kitchenette was basic, and the car parking was too restrictive even for a mid size SUV.

Would definitely stay again, wish we could've stayed longer! Everything was clean, the rooms are spacious and the location was excellent! Check in was simple, easy and friendly. Parking was available with the room however we were leaving the next day therefore when we return to Queenstown and have a car, we would definitely stay here. Beds were extremely comfortable if you like a bed that is more on the firmer and supportive side. Some of the hotels on the mid to higher range tend to have plush, soft beds that sink, so I found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable at St James Apts!

Nothing. Couldn't fault it. I could even access bag storage as we had a later flight.

Location is excellent. Car park good, although if we had a different apartment I don't think we could have parked two cars.

For an apartment that sleeps 6, some extra toilet paper would be good as we went out to buy own. Also only 4 chairs at dining table. We did run out of water after 4 showers (not long or hot either). And downstairs they were woken by a water pump right outside room early one morning?

I rang to the office several times regarding check in after the office hours, no one answered the phone call. Poor reception service.

Locked gates around the building were a bit tricky

Great location and very spacious. Lot of car parks

1 faucet for cold water and another for hot, it will burn you, maybe I’m just not used the 2 faucets system

It had all the necessities and the couches were comfy. Being super close to the CBD (1min walk and you were there!) and to a great playground were the biggest perks for us.

The apartment felt a little outdated with a few things that probably could have done with a fix up. The reception is barely manned, although you can contact someone via the phone on the exterior of the building when required.

The location of St James apartment is great and within central Queenstown area - within easy reach to all tourist attraction and good eateries including Ferguson Burger. The WiFi is good.

Owing to its good location, you could also occasionally hear noise from Main Street if there is big parties or from other apartment guests.

It was very basic tired and the bathrooms most definitely needed a retile

The location of this hotel is amazing. Perfect if you want to be right in the centre of town with a short walk to local restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our room had a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a bedroom. Really comfortable stay.

The staff were never at the reception. I used the phone out the front multiple times to try and contact them and they did not pick up the phone. Rather frustrating. The shower also had a bit of mould around the bottom edges. Should be cleaned. It was also one of the weakest showers I've had in paid accommodation for a number of years.

WiFi kept cutting out.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location, however plenty of other places also have good locations.

The property is very tired.Our room which was a standard room, was so outdated and old. The toilet cistern was hanging off the wall, the basin had at least 13 cracks. The shower was in the bath, which was so high I had trouble getting into. It was extremely noisy, as our room was next to the stairwell. So banging doors and people coming and going at all hours.The worst thing however, was when we went to hop into bed and there was pubic hair in it, so sheets hadn’t been changed from last people, YUK!I raised all this with staff the following morning and they taped the cistern to the wall and changed the sheets, but shrugged off the rest. When I dropped the keys off, not even a thank you, or did you enjoy your trip from staff.Very poor!

Facilities: lift was unavailable upon checkin, couldn't use laundry (detergent is chargeable), bath area and shower is pure inconvenience and if you are expecting liquid soap-this is not the stop for you

Excellent location

TV difficulties. Toilet mechanism falling apart. Check-in procedure after hours not explained and we did not anticipate arriving late.

The location was excellent. It meant that we were able to park our vehicle at the Apartments and then there was a very short walk into the main centre for food, shopping and tourist activities.

A little aged, but we were not bothered as the location and facilities were what we were looking for
