    Pros +

    • Location is excellent, you can walk to everything in the town centre area, including the Skyline Gondola and the Kiwi Park. Views of the mountains and glimpse of the lake from our 4th floor apartment were nice.
    • The staff is friendly. the property is located in the center of the town.
    • Central and handy to everything - All else is a Bonus John

    Cons -

    • The additional charge of $20 per night for parking on top of the already pricey cost for a 3 star hotel; the uncovered window into the hallway which let too much light into the room at night and also had a CCTV Camera positioned opposite it.
    • The shower was installed awkwardly.
    • Could not extend longer

    Location, comfort and cleanliness

    equipment a bit dated

The apartment was very well located, right in the heart of Queenstown. Bed comfortable, bathroom had obviously been renovated. Washing machine and dryer included.

Did not like the fact the there was no small table and chairs to eat at. the lounge was situated so you could not sit on it and watch TV if you wished, you needed to sit on the bed. Apartment was a little tired. I believe that they could do with the gardens and paths being tendered to.We also had to pay for parking $20pd , we paid this as we did not want to move the car at 10 pm and 7am.???

The room was spacious and clean. Our room was on the 5th floor so we got a view to the lake and beautiful mountains. The staffs are helpful. The location is good.

The dryer cover was broken. Eventhough we didn't need to wash clothes at that time.

    Excellent location and views

Apartments are overall very old and tired. Water in shower was hard to control-sometimes scolding hot and other times freezing cold.

Location was excellent and room very good & had a nice view. It did have parking but see below

They advertised parking was available at a per day fee. I only found out when I rang to book the parking, that it was on a 1st come 1st served basis. They did advise the best time to arrive in order to get a park - which we did.

Fabulous lake view & handy for restaurants. “Yogi” greeted us & was wonderful.

Washer worked, but dryer did not.

Yogita at the front desk was very pleasant . The view from 5th floor is great.

The decor is tired. However, it was adequate for our stay.

Location was an important factor for me. It was in the middle of the action in Queenstown. I did not have to walk far to most activities and food places. It was also close to the wharf which is where almost all water tour activities began.

The hotel is old and needs renovating. The living room ceiling leaked when it rained. The carpet was stained where the leak dripped down. The kitchen table chairs where mismatched and one was broken. There were chirping birds in the stove vent leading outside that sounded like they were in the kitchen. The dryer door was cracked and the filter on the door front would fall off. I could not find a thermostat to increase the warmth of the unit. However, they did have a heating pad on the bed which helped when I slept. The chest of drawers were cheap wooden type you would find at K-Mart. They were nicked up and the top surface was replaced with a mismatched piece of wooden looking laminate.

I like the size and overall cabin look. I like the space and number of beds available. Location is also convenient. All I need in the kitchen is available

One of the room which has the ensuite smells like moldy and damp so we did not stay in that room

Close to wharf and pier areas on flatish ground.

Only thing we liked was the location. The unit we booked was nothing like the images and facilities presented on Booking.com. The unit was up and down a number of stairs which were wet and possible trip hazard. The entry to the unit was difficult as the door was jammed at bottom requiring a solid shoulder push to open and a very strong pull to close from outside. The unit did not have a washing machine or drier, which was a main point as we were half way through our road trip and planning to get all our washing up to date. The first night the heat pump was not working and even set to 32deg C it was not heating up the room. The wall heater was also not working. Only the right hand electric blanket could be plugged in for bed warmth. The left hand could not reach the power point unless we moved the right hand bedside cabinet and pushed the bed close to the wall. The shower had a very large step up with not rails making it difficult to get into and out of shower (we are both in our 70's and wife post fractured hip previosly). The furniture was stained and lounge had holes in upholstery. The dining chairs were al most unsafe and we asked the staff to remove one which was very unsafe. The heat pump issue was resolved on day 2 after the staff removed filters and cleaned giving the heat pump a new lease of life. When we spoke to the reception gentleman (who was very helpful and assisted with our luggage) said he would have a word to the owner but nothing happened. The car park was NZ$20 per day but worse the credit card charge was 3.5% which no where else was the charge so exorbitant.

We could not ask for a better location in Queenstown. It is within walking distance to everything. The little food vans next door had excellent food at a reasonable price. Walk to the gondola, bus stops, food and restaurants. We didn't hire a car and stayed for 6 days. 2 block walk to the ski bus and 3 blocks to catch the bus to Arrowtown. We had 4 rooms on the ground floor. They were a bit dated but had everything you would need. had 1 room on top floor which was modern and nice views of the Remarkables. I would definitely recommend.

Our rooms were serviced every day but our coffee wasn't replenished. Reception was happy to give us more when we asked. I did ask for our family to be together and 4 families were but 1 was on top floor. Not sure if it was a misunderstanding as she is the only one with a different name.

The location is great for exploring the centre of Queenstown. The apartment was a good size for a fmaily of 4 and it was tidy.

The apartment and fittings were dated, with a few things falling apart. Expensive for what it is, but it is Queenstown.

Fantastic location in the heart of Queenstown which is great for my work needs.

Room had an unfortunate odor upon arrival. like a mix of really bad air freshener and old cooking smell. Went pretty quickly once I opened a couple of windows, but not ideal in the middle of winter in Queenstown

As Beach Street is only a (small) block from the lakefront, it is in a prime spot with bars, restaurants and shops very close.Units are behind guest parking so the rooms are quiet.Umbrellas at the door for guests to use - came in handy.

The price quoted via Booking.com was X but the charge on my credit card was up 3.15% . Sheer profiteering. 1.5% is fair. This however is not a complaint as such, just a word of advice.Checkout is usually 10 am but check-in is not available until 3pm. I was attending a conference that started at 12:30 so left my bags in locked storage. When I arrived back around 7pm the desk was unattended so had to ring and wait for someone to arrive.Potentially a misunderstanding with me having "heard" the phrase "manned 24/7" rather than "until 7".

Close location to downtown Queenstown and the Steamer Wharf. Coffee cart and vans in adjacent lot

No hand safety rail on bath/shower for balance/safety. Jo had a sore knee from knee replacement

    Location

The apartment is in need of major renovation. Cabinets are damaged; the chairs were wobbly; flooring was badly worn; dryer door was damaged; there needs to be a path light outside the front door.

Super location, very near to centre, less than 5 mins walk. Plenty of foods and shops around. Stunning view from balcony.

The door of master bedroom (in 3 bedroom apartment on highest level) is a folding door and can not close properly.
