- The attention to details. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the wine and cheese plate delivered to your room in the afternoon. The views are stunning. The room size was spacious.
- Stoneridge Estate is my favourite accomodation I've ever stayed in. The rooms and facilities were amazing. Being out at Lake Hayes and away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown was so relaxing. Wineries, Arrowtown, Ayrburn, Frankton Arm are all a quick drive away. The hot tub was great and the wine/cheeseboard each evening was a lovely addition. My partner and I enjoyed simply walking around the estate and looking at all the beautiful autumn colours. And the breakfast and coffee each morning was fantastic!
- Milford suite was beautiful. Spacious, clean, amazing place to stargaze
Cons -
- There is no air conditioning in the lodge rooms.
- their AC seems not quite effective and we have to endure the heat for almost 2 hours till the temp dropped to a comfortable level
- Very hilly for me I had to get a lift either myFriends or your staff to take me toB/fast.

Great staff and design; superb view; food is quite decent as well

Stoneridge Estate was like a dream! The buildings and grounds were straight out of a fairytale and the staff treated us like royalty. The breakfast was the best I've ever had and the complimentary cheese platter upon arrival made us feel very special! Especially since we were able to have it while we enjoyed the hot tub!! It was a great location to be able to visit Arrowtown and the river nearby. Definitely the best place I have ever stayed!
I loved the b/fast cafe late was very good fried eggs were perfect and croissant and Danish were very fresh.
Very hilly for me I had to get a lift either myFriends or your staff to take me toB/fast.
The property has lovely landscaping located on a hillside with spectacular views. The owner and family work diligently to keep it looking and running smoothly. Brooks was exceptionally friendly and made us feel at home as well as the entire staff. Dining is excellent and we loved the special wine and cheese board in the evening.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff went above and beyond.Old pArt of hotel could do with a freshen up but the retreat was stunning .
Not keen on the older part where breakfast was needs modernised and decluttered
Beautiful property, lovely rooms, enthusiastic and helpful staff. Loved the details like the wine and cheese platter, the pool and hot tub, the maxi bar
Wish the pool was heated
Cannot say great enough things about The Stoneridge Estate! I came to this resort for my honeymoon, and we couldn't have picked a better place. We stayed in a Retreat Suite and were greeted with wine and a cheese board. The suite was beautiful, beds were comfy, and facilities were top-notch. The pool and hot tub were delightful, and we could have stared at the views forever. Definitely a place you won't want to leave!
Not a thing!
The property is in a vineyard and most rooms oversee a nice grape + tree + lake view. I stayed at Aoraki suite which is very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is daily complimentary cheese board - minibar, chips and a bottle of rose are also complimentary. I tried the “Trust the Chef” dinner at the estate which is very good. Quality food plus reasonably priced wine pairing / wine menu. Breakfast was good - continental plus a la carte. Last but not least, at the retreat suite there is a very nice lobby, infinity pool and hot tub.
The entrance of the hotel and the reception was a little bit hard to find at first, as Google directed me to another closed entrance - and there is no clear sign where the hotel reception is (and the estate is big). So I drove through 3 properties until I found the reception.
Everything! We loved the staff, amazing views, and the beautiful property. Enjoyed the hot tub and afternoon drinks as well. Thank you so much for the kind staff for making our stay memorable. We would love to come back again.
Loved the staff, views, customer service, modern, clean. Litterly perfect
The steep hills to drive up.
The photos don't do it justice. The property, the view and the facilities are amazing! The staff were very friendly and we booked the massage in the room which I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
The place is so Beautiful, staff are amazing , afternoon drinks and cheese platter and complimentary mini bar are great
Nil
Beautiful views of the mountains and snow during winter. Lovely accomodating staff and the grounds are so picturesque. I only stayed one night and it wasn’t enough time to take it all in
As it’s a boutique hotel you need to be prepared in advance with timings, (something I didn’t anticipate with my flight times whoops) as things move slowly - part of the charm on a longer stay to help you unwind. I thought the selection of teas in the room could have been higher quality not just dilmah but perhaps I’m unnecessarily picky on this one
Breakfast was fine seating area private with great views of lake and surrounding area wonderful friendly staff
Continal breakfast could have a better variety of food like stewed fruit etc
My experience at this hotel was quite underwhelming.
I recently had a disappointing stay at the Stoneridge Estate. Here are the unacceptable issues I faced:1. Check-in Delays: Our check-in process took two hours due to the hotel's POS machine being flagged as an unsafe transaction by the bank. This has never happened in any of my previous stays elsewhere.2. Unfulfilled Promises: The hotel promised to deliver a cheese platter and red wine to our room, but these items never arrived.3. Poor Breakfast Quality: The breakfast was very unsatisfactory.
Huge and comfortable room. Amazing views! Lovely afternoon cheese plate with a glass of rose + a nice breakfast in the dining room.
Check in could be improved by instead going through to the sitting room with the fire. A bit unclear about which rooms had access to what facilities EG sauna, gym etc (these are only available for The Retreat guests).
Breakfast was good both in relation to food and service. View was wonderful.
Service was generally poor. No one about to open reception even though they knew time. Taking a bond payment on a credit card seems disrespectful and not necessary. They had already taken the full amount for room plus 3% from my credit card last year, so were well recompensed. No ironing board in room but suggestion we couldn't see it. Toilet continue to flow after flush. Bar staff at function were slow and distracted. Choice of beer was several generic larger, but nothing else. Most expensive place I have stayed but nothing about it was any better than a normal hotel except for view. Could even hear road noise from room.
