    • Fire in the fireplace in the downstairs common area, quality of breakfast, friendly staff
    • The location in the centre of town is very convenient, really good amenities with hot tub and media room. Delicious hot breakfasts every morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really spacious room kept clean daily! Great wifi and lots of TV channels.
    • Lovely decor and well located to the fun of Queenstown while still not being right in the heart of town. Love the cozy and warm atmosphere of this wee boutique hotel.

    Cons -

    • Not much to fault. I liked the property
    • Shower over bath but that’s a personal preference.
    • The steep hill is not for everyone . Luckily I got one of their 4 parking spaces but if you have to park in the Wilson car park next to property it seems very expensive . I was $60 I think form12 hrs until,I could get a space at the dairy $20 per day so if driving book a space .

Well maintained heritage feel. Comfortable bed and luxury inclusions. Loved the happy hour to meet other guests. Very generous with drinks and nibbles.

Shower over bath but that’s a personal preference.

Very original sumptuous interiors. Good sized room very close to town. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Location is very central . It’s up a hill though from the centre so avoid if have any difficulty walking uphill .the free extras in the room were very welcome as was the endless tea coffee and sweets in the lounge . I just made the happy hr on one night but the range of wine and snacks seemed excellent .Breakfast was of the continental style but was very good Decoration of hotel is very different from normal bland rooms so was a welcome break in a long tour

From check-in everything was fabulous, totally enjoyed happy hour got to meet more people and talk over all our holidays, breakfast was adequate, and our room was great. Staff were more than friendly and helpful . over all a great hotel.

    10HarshPosted on: 1-12-2026

Our room (#8) was great and we had a fabulous view of the Remarkables. All the employees were genuinely warm and kind, and caring. They went above and beyond to accommodate our need for gluten-free breakfast options. More like a B&B and less corporate hotel feel. Location is super convenient for the gondola and the bus stop for TeAnau and other destinations.

It’s a little bit of an uphill climb from the lakefront, but definitely worth it as long as you are not carrying heavy luggage. The promoted picture of their room with overly ornate wallpaper was a little scary to us, but our room was very tastefully decorated and we shouldn’t have hesitated.

Great location, quaint building. Loved the happy hour, gave us the chance to meet other guests

Room was a little small and being at the front was a little noise from the pedestrian traffic.

Really friendly staff. Loved the amenities and room. Location was also perfect

Lovely boutique rooms with a complementary bottle of wine, snacks and other beverages. We missed the happy hour but was provided with great treats both in our room and in the lounge where we could help ourselves. Fantastic stay.

The breakfast area was a little small, we were fine, but note that a couple of others struggled to get a table - however, there was the lounge that I am sure breakfast could be taken and consumed in. So this is not a dis-like, rather a 'work-around'.

Comfortable bed and big room. Lounge area with happy hour enabled opportunities to meet other guests.

Lack of choice at breakfast. Went across the road to an excellent cafe instead.

Funky ecclectic vibe super close to the town center! We loved the interesting decor of this place. They offer free happy hour from 5-6pm with beer, wine and charcuterie which was a very nice touch. Free coffee, tea, sparkling waters and snacks available in the common area. Tasty and simple breakfast available. Friendly staff! Great stay!

Parking is not free. It’s $20 NZD per day at the hotel if you get one of their 4 spots, otherwise there is a paid lot nearby but it’s very expensive. It’s a city center so not much you can do about this but it’s an extra charge to factor into your stay.

Staff and facilities were excellent. Car parking is a little difficult on site, but there is a paid carpark right next door. It's a great location close to town, but you don't get any noise which I really liked having had a long day of travelling. They have a lovely little happy hour where guests can relax and have a drink and nibbles in the lounge. I really enjoyed this. I had beautiful mountain and lake views from my room.

The mattress on the bed wasn't that comfortable, I let the hotel know on departure and they promptly replied and said they'd sort it out and thanked me for letting them know. The staff really are the stars of this place.

Breakfast was good and the best thing about the hotel was the happy hour where we could sit and talk to other guests.

Parking is very difficult. On morning at 6:45 the people on the room overhead were very noisy and woke me up.

Beautiful space, very cozy and comfy with all the amenities plus extras! (Happy hour, spa, lovely breakfast) Excellent location and awesome views.

Great design, comfortable bed, clean, nice toiletries, wonderful staff, and the happy hour and breakfast were excellent. Also super easy walk to downtown.

The fan in our bathroom was very loud and i get up early while my husband sleeps late and so i had to get ready in the dark so i didnt wake him. Also the temperature control didnt work. Not huge issues but given the price they were a little disappointing hence the slightly lower rating for what was otherwise an excellent stay.

The room is beautiful, and the staff are extremely friendly and professional. The complimentary snacks and drinks from the hotel are exquisite. The bathroom is very clean, and the location is excellent—it’s only a two-minute walk to the downtown, and the gondola is also nearby.
