    Pros +

    • Clean and comfortable accommodations. Welcoming and attentive staff. Beautiful location and views of the lake and mountains.
    • The entire staff, restaurant, view, cleanliness, everything was excellent.
    • Wonderful stay, friendly, helpful and courteous staff. The facility is beautiful, clean and well kept. Would stay at The Rees anytime.

    Cons -

    • Not a close proximity to town. Must take the shuttle (which is a nice feature!) just only runs once an hour and book ahead.
    • The website says they have an airport shuttle . They do not. They do have a shuttle to town that leaves on the top of the hour.

The view, room and location were excellent.

The service at the bar/restaurant was poor, but I'd stay at the Rees again in a heartbeat.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The three bedroom with a lake view was stunning. The unit was clean and if looked like a high end unit. Loved the fireplace and the beautiful deck.

    We loved everything.

    Poor value for the cost

Low floor, limited views; one bathroom for two bedrooms; having to fight for housekeeping

    6DavidPosted on: 12-25-2025

The rooms were clean, had everything we needed. Room to open our suitcases. Good lighting.Super easy parking

The insulation between floors was lackluster. Had a room on level 5 (type: no lake view room), heard my uostairs neighbor every time a drawer was opened, every time they closed their bathroom door - through earplugs.First front desk employee said they couldn't hear anything outside their door (they didn't listen to what we complained about). Second employee (Bria) was super helpful and moved us to a different room. Unfortunately the only two bed rooms available were also on level 5 and the same issue persisted. Each room pair has a common hallway door which is loud when closed shut, so add that to the noise.Never had such an issue in a hotel, good quiet sleep is the #1 expectation when I book a hotel, especially at the price Rees was selling their room.

The view, the service, parking. Very nice view to the lake (if you pay for it)

That is NOT 5 star hotel- no swimming pool. The shower door was leaking, all the floor wet and slippery!. The hotel divided in 2 buildings, going to dining room you have go through parking garage. The gim was smelly, without windows.

    Staff, views, walking path, comfort.

    Need to replace the mattress.

It was our first stay in building 4 and we received an upgrade! The room was quiet and lovely, the facilities perfect.and for us the EV charge meant we could drive all the way home without needing to stop. The shuttle was timely. In the room the phone charger was useful, the biscuits delicious and the shower was wonderful with no door. Unfortunately we weren't the long enough to enjoy the coffee machine, but the scales were useful.

Nothing that I can think of at all.

    9PawanPosted on: 11-27-2025

Shower and the shower door. Water always spilled out. Their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash quality, as well as their dispensers were below their standard.

    9Ferrari T.Posted on: 11-25-2025

Nice rooms, great views, shuttle, complimentary washing machine and dryers

    Breakfast, small gym, tight parking

    9JamesPosted on: 11-18-2025

Well appointed two bed apartment with a wonderful view of Lake Wakatipu. Less than a mile to Queenstown center, the Rees had an hourly shuttle bus to get there easily. Friendly staff and very helpful concierge. Also, covered parking was a nice perk.

Dining room at breakfast got a bit crowded.

    10LilyPosted on: 11-6-2025

The room was nice and large- larger than expected with a balcony. The bathroom was very nice and lux- very clean. I wish we had been able to stay more than one night. We were able to get a last minute reservation for dinner at one of the restaurants and the service and food were top notch.

driveway was steep getting to/from the parking lot, but we were happy to have parking

    6HassanPosted on: 10-12-2025

Nice views from the room (if you’re staying in the higher levels)

Poor quality mattresses, poor blinds let too much light in, the apartment bedrooms lack tasteful decoration.

    10DavePosted on: 10-2-2025

View from our room was beautiful. We loved that a shuttle was available to take us to downtown. Everyone was exceptionally welcoming and helpful.

Needed more coffee in the room.

    Nice atmosphere, staffs are friendly

When got to our room on 5th floor the view from the room had partial view of roof from building front of our room so we asked to be moved & got 7th flr with brilliant view except that we are allowed for 2 nights and the last 2 nights returned to 5th flr
