Pros +
- Great hotel. Very clean and friendly. Good location. Good food.
- The breakfast was beyond praise. Excellent room service и вежливый персонал. Magnificent views from the window!
- Great service and gesture by hotel staff .. fantastic location and the food was rich, tasty and diversified
Cons -
- The rooms we stayed in need some refurbishing. Overall, the hotel feels somewhat dated. Based on the pictures, it seemed like a much more modern hotel. We came during Hanukkah, which is a very busy period, and the hotel—especially the lobby area—felt overcrowded and noisy. The staff really tried their best, but at times it felt that they were overwhelmed by the number of guests. On one of the mornings, as we were leaving the (gigantic) breakfast hall, we heard one of the hotel managers instructing the staff to block new guests from entering, presumably until other guests had left.
- Extremely Disappointing I stayed at the hotel last week, and I have never experienced anything like this. Shortly after midnight (around 00:00–00:30), we suddenly heard extremely loud noises — like a burst water pipe. At first, we thought we had left a faucet running, but we quickly discovered that the sound came from a cabinet near our room door. A metal water pipe had burst inside the cabinet, flooding the entire corridor and sending water straight into our room. When I got out of bed, I stepped into 2–4 cm of water on the floor. The water kept flowing for a long time with no response from the hotel staff. We tried calling the reception — no human answer at all. We had no choice but to go downstairs while our room continued flooding. The only person we found was not even a reception employee; he just happened to be there and had no access to the system, no information about available rooms, and could not reach anyone responsible.Security arrived, took photos, and sent them to maintenance. The maintenance person showed up about half an hour later. Eventually they stopped the water, and we were told the pipe had been “closed off temporarily” before — clearly a maintenance issue that should have been handled properly long ago.Meanwhile, we had to take all our belongings downstairs and wait in the lobby for nearly two hours, until around 2 AM — wet, tired, and without any support or solution. For a hotel costing nearly 1,000 shekels per night, this is unacceptableA severe maintenance failure, no active reception at night, no proper response, no organization, and compensation that does not match the level of negligence or the guest experience expected from a hotel at this price point. I am sharing this review so future guests know what to expect — and in the hope that the hotel will finally prioritize proper maintenance and guest care..

All staff were helpfulFacilities and location were greatPrivate beach area fab
Cleanliness was under par
Everything was top level at this hotel. The rooms, food, pool, beach access, staff and service.
Perhaps having more English for the international crowd especially during meals.
Room size, cleanness, pool
Late check in, no parking, breakfast salty, bad service on shabbat.
The room was clean and bigThe location was great, close to everywhen.
The hotel is great, amaaaaaaazing breakfasts like other worldly, great service, good beds and pillows, I enjoyed myself overall.
Big pool, but a bit crowded. Room is okay, but for its money, can be much better.
Staff is not best (even rude), a lot of rules regarding the kosher / not kosher food, which is really annoying especially for those who don’t bother about kosher food.
as expected great israeli brkfst although crowded. location is excellent, end of the boardwalk, which leaves the beach less crowded. attentive staff that compensated for any issue: got free access to biz launch and vitalis spa.
no parking and delayed check in. 3 pools but not enough furniture to relax on for all the guests.
It is a great hotel, with all the facilities.Ice in the pool was great in the hot days
There were bugs in one of our rooms, the lady at the counter didn't treat it well. The responsible for customer relations was great.
Our experience at the Herods Hotel was absolutely exceptional! From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed by Sandra, the hotel manager, who greeted us with a big smile and was there for us throughout our entire stay. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing, and the service was top-notch.Truly a perfect vacation — we will definitely be coming back!
Excellent location, beautiful sea view from the balcony, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, spacious, comfortable and clean room.
the locationthe big balcony and the view were amazing.very quiet most of the time.we had always everything we needed in the room.late breakfast until 12:00.
on the first night there was a really loud party all night near the hotel that interrupted our sleep.there were never spoons on breakfast.
The property was extremely large and spacious and had amazing amenities!! The pool was heated so you can swim even in the winter!! The spa has a few different options including an indoor hot tub and multiple options outdoors with 3 different temperature tubs that can have a waterfall option as well, there is a wet sauna and a dry sauna for your convenience as well. The view from our room was absolutely stunning there’s simply no better view in the whole Eilat we chose the deluxe sea view.We also dined in at the hotels restaurant for dinner which had plenty of different options as it was buffet style which is also nice because you can eat at your own pace and however little or much you you want,The breakfast as well had various options including an omelet station and delicious and pancakes which is my personal favorite!!Lastly, the managerial staff was above and beyond and went out of their way to accommodate us in the nicest ways possible their extremely kind and caring when it comes to their hotel guests!I’d like to specifically thank Rinat for originally taking care of us when we first came in and last but certainly not least Sandra the customer relations manager who as well sent us a nice fruit platter to the room and took care of us in many more more ways than most other hotels have in the past, she is clearly someone who deeply cares about her guests as if we were staying at her own personal home ❤️
