    Pros +

    • The staff were very kind, everything exceeded expectations I will go back again and again.
    • Location is removed from other camps. Camel ride to camp was excellent. People very friendly. Personal touch, breakfast and dinner were good and were able to accommodate vegetarian preferences. Sunset and sunrise were beautiful. Amazing night sky and look at the Milky way. One of the highlights of our Morocco trip
    • The food was great, staff was kind, a short walk to the dunes, nice camel ride, being out of town made it quiet and that was nice. Nice sandboarding for free. We’d choose that again. The staff was easy to communicate with and friendly!

    Cons -

    • Everything was great.
    • It was very cold that night, and the room did not have any heating. We were freezing under 4-5 layers of sheets and clothing and sleep was hard to come by. Real-life desert experience! One suggestion is to have an option for heating in winter and cooling in summer (even if it is an additional purchase). Also, for some reason they were reluctant to completely turn off all the lights at night to enjoy the stars from the comfort of camp, even after requests. The bright neon arc lamp at the gate was on and prevented a good look at the beautiful night sky. We had to walk far into the desert to avoid the lights and it was too cold to stay there. Another suggestion is to completely turn off all the lights so that the night sky is a feature of the trip. Low hanging fruit that they should market.
    • It was hard to see online what the charges were for transfers and camel rides etc but it turned out fine once we got there.

Accommodations were very comfortable and the meal was the best we have had in Morocco. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The evening singing and drumming show around the fire pit was enjoyable. Very enjoyable and fun camel ride to watch the sunset.

Our GPS turned us off the pavement and heading into the desert but apparently it is off to some degree. because we were unable to find the meeting location. There are no signs to be found so we thought we were on the wrong trail and turned back for Mersouga in hopes of making real time contact with the camp. We were unsuccessful so ventured into the desert again and got lucky as the shuttle driver located us and lead us to the meeting location. Some signage would have gone a long way to avoiding a little stress that we were in the wrong location.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. The camp is beautiful and although you can see two other camps sort of depending on where you’re standing it still felt private and special. The food is EXCELLENT. The dawn camel ride top notch.

The beds might be mistaken for a plank with a sheet. I prefer a softer mattress but it didn’t stop me from a sound sleep.

The staff, the location, very clean luxurious rooms, running hot water, the no transfer fees from a very safe parking spot to the camp and oh the food! One of the best dinners we had at Tasali! Highly recommend!

In the morning, the tents get really hot but that is understandable as it is in the middle of the desert.

Choosing a desert camp from the many available options was no easy task—they all seem quite similar at first glance. But we couldn’t have been luckier with our choice! Tassili Luxury Desert Camp delivered an incredible experience. The camp is located a bit farther from Merzouga, which turned out to be a big advantage—it felt more authentic and secluded. Communication was excellent from the start. We were picked up in their 4x4 at 5 PM from a designated parking area (don’t worry, while the road leading there veers off into the "wilderness," it’s still manageable with a regular rental car). With only about ten tents, the camp offers an intimate and personal atmosphere. Shortly after arrival, we had time to freshen up before heading off on a breathtaking camel ride to the nearby dunes to watch the sunset—an unforgettable experience. Dinner was delicious (perhaps a bit more "Western-style" in presentation), followed by an incredible night of traditional Amazigh music, with six musicians playing drums and guitar around the fire under a sky full of stars. And the tent itself? Honestly, it was the most luxurious accommodation we experienced in Morocco. A huge thank you to the entire team—we highly recommend this camp!

Beautiful camp! Our tent was very roomy and very comfortable. The men who took care of everything were very helpful and worked hard to make everything perfect! The food was delicious and we loved the singing and instruments played after dinner around the fire. Such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this camp!

The tents at camp were very nicely decorated and beautiful, the camp is more secluded than some of the other camps and the food was very good. Also very friendly service that was able to help recommend and organize other activities in Merzouga.

The tents do get cold at night with no heaters but they have very warm and thick blankets for the beds so we were not cold

It's all as agreed!!! Amazing hospitality and accommodation! The staff is really hospitablewe were worried about surprise fees (like parking and transfer) and there are none in this one

Love, love, loved this experience.Excellent location away from other camps in a different set of dunes.Excellent dinner. Comfortable and spacious tent and nice camp to walk around. Berber music around the campfire watching the stars. We also rode the camels from the camp at sunset which I highly recommend. Also took their half day 4x4 tour to visit berbers and drive around in desert dunes which I also highlyrecommend.

It's a bit tricky finding the parking place once you leave the main road and are in the gravel/sand road. We had a car that was low to the ground so a bit harrowing at times and some places there was a "y" in road and no way to know which way to go. We got lost for a bit on a really bad road. They need to mark the way to the parking because the satellite coordinates don't always guide correctly. Fine if you have a 4x4 or high clearance car but tricky for a little rental car.

Great location and glamping setup, but the real edge here is the terrific staff and guides, who embody Morocco’s renowne

Great location in a remote setting with an increíble staff that truly wants to ensure the best stay possible. Highly recommend staying at Tassili as you will appreciate the serenity more than you know.

It was fantastic, I wouldn’t change a thing.

The staff was very friendly. Mustafa was a wonderful host - serious and considerate. Ismail (who drove us around the Berber village) was funny and had a look of mischief that was endearing. The facilities were great - truly a glamping experience. The camel ride, sandboarding, and ATVs were tons of fun.

The facility is set up so that you are out doing activities in the middle of the day, when it is very hot. The tents do get stiflingly hot in the afternoon - it is actually cooler outside. This works because they have some beautiful shaded pavilions outside, but this is something to keep in mind when scheduling your stay. If you go in with the mindset of glamping/camping, you will be quite pleased. We did get a bout of food poisoning (based on the timing, likely from the Berber village or the restaurant in town, not the food from the actual camp) but Mustafa was kind and packed us a bag of yogurt and bananas to take with us on our trip to Marrakech.

Wonderful glamping option in an excellent remote location. Very friendly staff. Tasty dinner and breakfast.

Away from the main dunes but still very good location, more private and less crowded and we went to the dunes near Merzouga on a day tour

First night dinner and next day breakfast was not good ,They tried non traditional fried chicken which was not edible but next day we requested tajine - chicken and veggie that was excellent and for breakfast egg tagine with olives that also very yummy

Amazing service by the staff, beautiful setting and great excursions. The staff were very responsive prior to the stay and coordinated our taxis to/from the airport; they even woke up at 3am to cook us breakfast before our departure. The food was delicious and we’re so glad we stayed two nights! Highly recommend to everyone!!

    Loved everything!!

We spent a lot of time looking for a unique, small camp and Tassili Luxury Camp exceeded our expectations. We had 2 tents for our family of 6. One double tent, and the 4 kids were in the family tent which easily would sleep 5+ people as there was a King size bed and 3 twins. Dinner was served in the main dining tent and the food and service was delicious! I forgot to request Vegetarian (for me) prior to arrival, and they made us a fabulous vegetarian tajin dish which the whole family devoured. We also had a tasty Chicken dish and traditional Moroccan soup which as also delicious. The staff was very welcoming and performed for us around the fire after dinner. We had a fun night listening to them sing and play music on the drums and then we moved into telling jokes! The benefit of a small camp is that we only had 8 other guests for our stay! I wish we had another night, as we had to leave early and could not take advantage of the Sandboarding or camel rides through the Sahara! I would recommend arriving earlier in the day so you can take advantage of the offerings at the camp!
