- Air conditioning smelled really bad the first day but then cleared up!

Right on the Sahar dunes.

Fantastic location. The pool overlooking the dunes is unbeatable.

Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view
Air conditioning smelled really bad the first day but then cleared up!
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Staff was almost clueless about everything we asked for. Not at all welcoming or helpful. The receptionist preferred sleeping than being active at the desk. Meals were strictly timed and menu was fixed with no options at all. If you have kids or have any dietary restrictions,, that'll be a problem.
The view, service and the swimming pool are amazing
Beds aren't really comfortable compared to the night price. And don't forget to ask the prices of the drinks before order.
The room was very beautiful, as was the entire property. The dinner we had reserved was also very tasty. However, the staff could work on being more welcoming. When we arrived, there wasn’t much of a greeting or anything to make us feel truly comfortable. The one exception was the young man who served us dinner—he was kind and smiling, and really stood out with his friendly attitude.
It was literally as the pictures show- on the very fringes of the Sahara. Absolutely magical.
Limited options for food - especially vegetarian options.
Location and the renovated room
The service, breakfast, cleanliness, outdoor furniture
The riad is nice, it's localized at the dunes. Pool is right at the desert - very nice views! Rooms are nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet ( sweet, but there were biled eggs ) :)
wifi in rooms was very slow, it worked well at the pool and in common area though.
Best location ever! They had amazing dinners, good breakfast, offered all activities in house.
Wifi was not very stable, room was dark.

The staff are more than just hosts—they treat you like family, sharing stories of the land, and making every moment feel special.Indulge in the delicious local cuisine, from savory tagines to freshly baked bread, all served with the love and care of the desert people. As the day gives way to night, the silence of the desert invites reflection and peace. Lie beneath a sky full of stars, feel the pulse of the universe, and hear the rhythm of your own heartbeat in the stillness.Kanz Erremal isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to truly be. A refuge where you can disconnect from the world and find harmony in the beauty of the desert. Come for the tranquility, stay for the memories. And the people who work there, they do it so pure and with so much love , they are able to organise everything for you , and give you the service that you needed. I can’t wait to go back to this place. But then I will stay much longer, felt like coming home
That I had to leave ;(
Ahmed, Fatima, Said and Mohammed were present and caring right through. Location is indeed spectacular. Enjoyed precious time here with my son.
That I don’t live here 24/7.
Pool was amazing, room was also spacious, clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved it.
Would have liked more food options on site for lunch—but it wasn’t an issue to drive 5 mins away and eat at a local restaurant for much cheaper— so it worked out well in the end.
- The Staff was very friendly- The location is right next to the desert- The building and the yard were very beautiful- the toilet and shower were new and clean
- the shower overflew very quickly in our room
Couldn’t fault this hotel. We honestly wished we had one more night. Our rooms were gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable. By far the best beds we’ve stayed in so far in Morocco. Great bathroom. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
We recently stayed at Kanz Erremal in Merzouga, Morocco, as a group of four adults, a baby, and two friends. The experience was truly memorable, and we loved the stunning views—being literally in the desert was magical. The setting is unparalleled, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The owner, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay special. On our first night, he kindly brought us to an old market to buy some food, which we really appreciated. The next day, he even offered to take us to the dunes for the sunset, which was an incredible experience.Overall, this is a beautiful and unique place to stay in the heart of the desert, and the staff’s kindness and the stunning location made it an unforgettable experience.
That said, there were a couple of small issues. The blanket in our room didn’t have a cover, which felt a bit unhygienic for us. Additionally, even though we pre-ordered dinner for the second night, the portion sizes could have been a bit larger. For future guests, I highly recommend booking directly through their website rather than third-party platforms, as doing so includes complimentary dinner along with breakfast. Through Booking.com, only breakfast was included.
It is just in front of the dunes! You don’t have to stay in deserts camp to have this view. The hotel is spacious and many activities are Available upon booking. Camel ride is great!
Lunch and dinner need preorder and it is fixed set menu at 12 euro per person. Not much variety.
Rooms are spacious, fantastic pool with a desert view, friendly staff
The breakfast was great with incredible views from our room as well as the pool area.
