Entry from the pretty pedestrianised street reveals a lovely traditional courtyard setting. Central location. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Eugenia when we arrived. Breakfasts were plentiful and good. Added extras were appreciated, like free snacks and drinks. Free access to public underground carpark a few minutes walk away.
Because it's an old building, the walls between rooms are not soundproof - earplugs needed if a light sleeper. Hotel is uphill from the carpark, beware if you have heavy luggage (don't use google maps, there is a shortcut for the walk).
The style was typically Canarian, it was like walking into some one’s home. Well maintained, airy and bright with lush green trees and plants in the courtyard. Authentic wooden floors, and ceiling in our bedroom, which looked down over the courtyard. Friendly welcome from the lady on reception with a nice glass of wine or soft drink offered upon arrival. Perfect place to stay, in a great location close to numerous restaurants. Breakfast very nice.
Great location, excellent staff. Delightful courtyard
Beautiful personal hotel in a traditional but immaculately kept building , lovely inner courtyard with tea/coffee/wine to relax and enjoy.
carpark not far away …..but avoid using google maps walking route that gave an extended unnecessary route uphill!
The place was beautiful. Staff was great. Breakfast was amazing.
Finding the place was a bit challenging.
Lovely hotel in Icod. Friendly staff. Breakfast super. Nice setup.
Quaint and authentic. Lovely helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Thin walls between rooms meant that we could hear out neighbour’s nocturnal activities. But ear plugs helped.
The property is stunning!Inside patio so charming, the beverages available: red wine water coffee and tea.Amazing breakfast
Beautiful property with courtyard, lovely staff and great breakfast.
All good, thank you.
Beautifully restored Original Canarian house, with original woodwork and detailing. The staff were lovely.
Central location. Historic
Public areas too cold. No heating Duvet on bed too thick. We asked for a sheet but couldn't provide.2 single beds pushed together - not a double bed.No air-conditioning
Great boutique hotel, really nice courtyard and amazing breakfast. Loved the banana smoothie and options for cooked eggs for breakfast in particular. Excellent location in middle of town as well
Limited soundproofing. Rooms were a bit loud in the evening.
Beautiful historical house, clean, lovely staff and customer oriented, nice parking walking distance. There was tea, coffee, wine, delicious local bananas available for the guests to enjoy in the courtyard or other common spaces.
For us it was not a comfortable stay- room was cold, although the room came with an electric heater it was insufficient given how tall the walls were. We also visited this place during some cold / rainy days in December. - walls are very thin, could hear our neighbors. I assume this is expected in such an old house, so if you are a light-sleeper make sure to bring your ear plugs. - there was a green emergency light in the room, which was very annoying during the first night. Maybe as an idea it would be nice to have some elastic covers available to the guests. In the middle of the night I could not find anything to cover the light without slipping. The staff was very nice and covered the light for us, as well as the little window above the door so I could sleep much better the remaining nights. For 1-2 nights this would have been acceptable, but as we spent 5 nights we found it too long.
Amazing old building, great service, awesome breakfast.
Staff were amazing, both helpful and informative. Incredibly quiet courtyard in the centre of the hotel. Easy access to restaurants, pharmacy, and groceries, all within walking distance
rooms are small, however clean, and comfortable. We did not spend much time in them, other than sleeping, and we were extremely comfortable using the common spaces for reading or socializing.
The hotel is really beautiful - the inner courtyard is a dream. The staff is very, very friendly and communication in English worked well. Breakfast is nothing extravagant, but offers an absolutely solid selection. Egg dishes are freshly prepared on request. Muffins / coffee / tea / water and red wine are available 24 hours a day. Parking is no hassle at all, the nearby car park is absolutely top notch and better than anything I've ever seen in my life. Restaurants in the neighbourhood are available and good to very good. The general condition of the hotel is excellent. You can see that no expense was spared during the refurbishment and that everything is in good order.
The rooms are slightly noisy. You can really hear everything from the neighbouring rooms and the street. If you are a light sleeper, you should definitely bring earplugs or something similar. There is a slight drainage odour from time to time, but nothing dramatic. It's just an old house where the preservation order has to be observed during the renovation. However, neither of these points would stop us from booking here again.
Our stay exceeded all our expectations! Authentic town, very beautiful hotel with amazing patio! But the most we liked the stuff at the hotel. Very helpful, gave us a lot of advice, every morning checking on how you're doing and giving tips for activities. Breakfast was great as well! Also, free parking nearby is convenient!
Only tiny disadvantage is that there are no toiletries in the room like shower gel/shampoo. We were lucky to have our own.
