Great location right next to historical Zhong Shan road with a direct view of Gulangyu Island from most rooms. Comfy beds. Good shower. High tech toilet with washlet. Good breakfast buffet. All the staff were very helpful.

The rooms could do with brighter lighting. Otherwise everything was pretty great.

The staff in the lobby are very helpful.

The cleaner missed some of the things that she should be cleaning. Some days, cups are not washed. The faucet needs replacing. Also the toilet sensor is a little weak.

the staff is very good, room design good be better, wonder why the bathroom is located in such a way, the view is excellent but feel that the corridor carpet cleanliness can be improved. It looks dated and soiled. The breakfast is reasonably good and staff's service is very good

Staff at the reception counter were very helpful. Mickey and Rikki helped us with many arrangements, going out of their way to help us with bookings, and even some of the Apps as we were there for the first time. They were prompt and friendly all the time.We also enjoyed the wide variety of food for the breakfast and also a service staff would go round after our meal with fruit juice and local desserts to try. The room I booked has excellent view and is very spacious to relax and enjoy the views.

The location is very good, and it is easy to get to every scenic spot. Facing Gulangyu Island, Zhongshan Road and Eight cities are nearby.Staff very warm and attentive.

The location is very convenient, close to pedestrian street and not far from ferry.The room size is nice with a sea view.A breakfast variety is OK.

The staff even the front desk do not speak English. This would be difficult for foreigners who cannot speak Chinese to ask for direction advie or a room change due smoking smell.The hotel is not near to subway so either walk or taxi.

The quality of the food and specially bakery products are below a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Bread was not good. The eggs should have more options. The coffee was average.

Location is very good but breakfast have to improve and staff are very helpful and I am my wife are very happy for the 5 night stay and the room cleaning lady very good and tell us what to eat and some home town story Love it

Location and cleanliness

Room is very warm and stuffy at 26 degrees even when i tuned it to 20 degrees.

The hotel service was excellent, and it was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of breakfast options, and we could enjoy a sea view while dining, which made the experience even more enjoyable.On the last day, I got food poisoning and needed to go to the pharmacy for medicine. The gentleman at the front desk, worried that we might have trouble as we were unfamiliar with the area, kindly offered to take us to a nearby pharmacy. His service attitude was exceptional—I’m really grateful to him.

Sea view room had excellent views towards Gulangyu, with information of the monuments you can see, as well as some paper and coloured pencils to draw. The decoration is quirky and fun, making reference to the culture and history of Xiamen. Location is very good, close to Zhongshan Rd and short taxi drive to Nanputuo and Xiamen Uni. The hotel receptionist, Lydia Li (guest service manager), was extremely nice and helpful, aiding us to book a tour to the Nanjing Tulou, and was very attentive as well during our stay.

A bit of noise could be heard from the next room, but still quiet in general.

Air conditioning did not work. We were given another room, but even that room was not cool. We had a warm and uncomfortable night.

The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is good with Zhongshan Road which is a bustling street for having meals and shopping a walking distance from the hotel.

The choice of dishes for breakfast can be improved.

The room was so dirty. There were piles of dust and stains everywhere, and mould was present in the sink and shower areas. It was very uncomforable. Weird shower designs not very family-friendly, you can see into the shower from every corner of the room.

I had chosen the hotel as it is just across Gulangyu and near to Zhongshan Road. The service is generally fine. The housekeeping lady Ms He (9th flr) and the conceign staff Mr Chen are very helpful.

Downside is that it is PRC school holiday season now and the hotel is popular with family tourists. I did meet some ill disciplined kids and rude parents, and this can be annoying. Some wear and tear in the room decor and fixtures.

Close proximity to food street & Gulangyu Island ferry. Room was very comfortable & clean. All staff are very friendly & helpful.
