Ruby Homestay

I was apprehensive of the reviews hyping up Mr. Ruby and the breakfast shakshuka - suffice to say the reviews are absolutely correct. This homestay is an absolute gem, and would stay no where else in Tam Coc. The owners are super caring, and were super accommodating at helping us plan tours and what to do in the area. Also helped us arrange transport to Hue, with a personal ride from Mr. Ruby on the back of his bike to the transport stop. Loved to make conversation with the owners.There is nowhere else like this is Tam Coc. Ruby told us people are booking his homestay up to 10 months out, and can absolutely see why. An absolute must stay.

Owner and her uncle were very attentive with everything. Booking bus to Sapa, laundry service, very friendly.

We loved our stay at Ruby Homestay. Nam & her uncle gave us such a lovely welcome and were there to help us at all times during our stay. The accommodation is located on a quiet lane overlooking the lake, is lovely & quiet, but a short walk to all the bars & restaurants. Room was big & bed was comfy. Air con cooled the room nicely when needed. The pool area is good & we enjoyed getting drinks from the adjoining cafe-bar. We used the laundry service which was cheap & efficient and although we didn't hire the bikes they looked in good condition. Breakfast was so good. There are only a few options but they give you lots of food & it is great value.

The rooms need some maintenance, a deep clean in some areas and a few new items. All the positives make this place special but the rooms need to be the next area to get some attention.

Everything was just amazing. Great spot, great facilities and the hosts were helpful. I really liked this place! Location is also right in the heart of Tam Coc

Mr Ruby and Nan are wonderful hosts. They made us feel part of their family. Our room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Nan helped us organise transport. We hired bikes every day. Great location close to river and town but very quiet area

Very nice location! Close to everything but also quiet. The lady in the reception was super helpful with everything and rented us bikes to go around.

Swimming pool was not operational during our stay they just started filling the pool may be due to winter season it was empty

Our host was super nice. The enviroment and the garden looks really cool, and it's in a slow and quiet street next to the lake, but also close to the center. Good coffe shop. The infra red shower heater was unexpected, and I absolutely loved it.

Everything was fine, but I think the laundry service could be a bit cheaper.

The breakfast was excellent (served 7-10am) with the option of eggs and bread, shakshuka, or pancakes with salad and fruit. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Cheap bike rental and recommendations for what to do!

It was close to Tam Coc boat tours. The owners are always smiling and are very accommodating and kind to us all. The location of the hotel is perfect for jogging in the morning.

Absolutely nothing.

Big rooms and walking distance to Tam Coc boat rides. Couldn’t spend much time but the breakfast included is very much appreciated.

The staff are very welcomig and kind. The room is big, the pool is nice, a good restaurant with a great atmosphere.Great location. 5 minutes by walk from the main street, so it was very close to all the bars and restaurants by yet not to close and noisy.High value for money

Great little home stay in a terrific location right in the middle of everything. Host was lovely and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful - right from booking our transfers to TamCoC from Hanoi, to guiding us with places to visit in and around, to renting a motorbike and to booking a last minute transfer to Hanoi so that we dont miss our train to Sapa.

A wonderful stay with great value! The location offers reliable internet access and is in an excellent data area for Viettel and Vinaphone SIM cards. The hotel is easy to find, very clean, and professionally maintained, with a lovely pool. They offer laundry service and excellent bike rentals at very affordable prices. The owner is so accommodating, super helpful and attentive, If you’re on a budget, this is the perfect choice. They also offer scooter rental which was such fun and enabled us to get about and see the area.

It's a beautiful location, very peaceful and well kept. We arrived a couple weeks after the typhoon had hit so there was ongoing repairs, but it was unobtrusive and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the place. delicious breakfasts, clean rooms, and a very competitive price. it was well worth the money.

An excellent location (away from the mains street but very close to walk to restaurants ect), spacious room, and a lovely pool, but most of all, the wonderfully happy hosts!- They are helpful, kind and funny, will make you laugh and will make your stay in Tam Coc (these people are in the right business!!)

Just could have done with a bench or similar to place our luggage or clothes.
