We love the friendliness of the staffs, the facilities are excellent (the room is clean and comfortable, the spas is serene, the pool is very nice). We also appreciate the special touches from the staffs to make our occasion more memorable.

It has small number of room so it has a lot of privacy and the location of the property is in the middle of heaven and the pool was amazing

I love how a group of the people come to clean the room - Their room service is so efficient! They also come another time in the evening to make your bed and to put up the mosquito net. On the day I left, I only had about 10 mins to eat for breakfast, so I decided not to eat but they made to-go boxes for me! Their service is top-notch!

    Nothing - everything was great!

The most remarkable aspect of Tam Coc Garden is its breathtaking surroundings. Nestled among rice paddies, karst mountains, and tropical gardens, the resort offers a postcard-perfect escape into nature. Every direction you look reveals a serene, green landscape that immediately calms the soul. It’s a place where you wake up to birdsong, not traffic—ideal for slowing down and reconnecting with the natural world. The property is beautifully designed to reflect authentic Vietnamese village architecture, using natural materials like stone, bamboo, and wood. The villas are spacious and thoughtfully spaced out for maximum privacy, each blending seamlessly into the landscape. The interiors are rustic-chic, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated with local touches that elevate the stay beyond a generic resort experience.Tam Coc Garden feels intimate and exclusive. The number of villas is limited, which means there’s never a crowd. It’s quiet, peaceful, and perfect for those who value solitude or quality one-on-one time. The resort clearly caters to couples and honeymooners, and it does this very well. The gardens are immaculately maintained, filled with blooming flowers, water features, and winding stone paths that invite exploration. The attention to detail in how the property is curated—from the pathway lighting to the outdoor seating—is evident and admirable. There’s no noise pollution, no distractions. It’s the kind of place where you can read, reflect, and recharge. It’s also close enough to explore Tam Coc’s main attractions but far enough to feel like a hidden gem.

While the resort excels in offering peace and privacy, it is clearly tailored more toward couples and solo travellers than families. As a parent of young children, I found the lack of child-friendly facilities—no kids’ area, no family-oriented dining options, no toddler-safe spaces—a major limitation. It’s important for potential guests to know that this is not a family-focused resort, and that’s completely fine—but expectations should be managed upfront. We tried the couple’s foot massage, hoping for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Unfortunately, it did not meet the standard we expected from a high end boutique resort. The technique lacked precision, particularly in pressure point handling, and the overall experience felt more basic than therapeutic. One of the more disappointing aspects was the 30% surcharge on room service. For a resort that positions itself as exclusive and service-driven, this felt excessive and counterintuitive. Guests expect premium service to be part of the experience—not an add-on that comes at such a steep premium. This policy detracted from the otherwise tranquil, luxurious feel of the stay.Although the food was fresh and presented well, there was limited variety for Muslim travellers or those observing halal or vegetarian diets. A bit more sensitivity in food placement and labelling would go a long way in enhancing inclusivity.

This was an incredibly serene property. It’s nestled amongst rice fields and mountains with beautiful gardens. Our room was large with a very nice bathroom with tub and shower. It had a lovely terrace to sit on and read. We had massages twice while we were there and they were great both times. Breakfast had numerous options to choose from and was tasty. We also ate dinner there and they had an extensive menu. The staff were super friendly and gracious. They provide a guide book to the area and not only was it helpful but it was beautifully written. We took the provided bikes to Bich Dong Pagoda and also into Tam Coc. It’s a scenic ride and quite lovely.

    Nothing!

The hotel itself is visually charming. The small private villas are well-decorated, spacious, and made with quality materials. The reception staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and available at all times. Rain gear (ponchos, umbrellas, hats) was thoughtfully provided for all guests — something we truly appreciated given the weather conditions.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was quite negative — not because of the hotel itself, but because of the complete lack of activities or comfort when the weather turns bad. We stayed two nights with our two young children (aged five and seven), and due to the cold, heavy rain, and constant fog, we were stuck inside with absolutely nothing to do. The hotel does not offer any indoor entertainment or space for families to relax. The only options were to eat at the restaurant (you can't do that for hours), or to try the outdoor pool, which was freezing cold and unusable. We had to spend more than seven hours waiting in the reception area for our train, trying to keep our kids occupied — it was long, uncomfortable, and extremely difficult. The soundproofing of the villas was also a big issue: they’re surrounded by ducks, and the noise was constant, especially at night. We couldn’t sleep and ended up playing ambient music on our laptop just to drown out the sounds. On top of that, communication in the restaurant was complicated due to the staff’s very limited English. The food was okay, but the experience as a whole felt frustrating and exhausting.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff were great - really helpful throughout our stay. The free bikes were awesome for exploring the local area and seeing the local attractions. When we wanted to go further afield (e.g Trang An) - the hotel organised a driver and sorted the price, at a good cost. The pool was great and a beautiful setting. Food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Room was comfortable - lovely view & great shower. Quite a few bugs / mosquitoes, but the staff put a mosquito up during their night service of the room. Highly recommend this lovely place!

The Full moon villa was great, the only comment I have that I wish the pool was heated as it was unusable during my stay in April

This is a gorgeous garden retreat set in the extraordinary karst and paddy field scenary. Download Grab app and local taxis and scooters can move you in and out of Tam Coc town centre if you don’t like cycling. However I will say we only did one trip to town for dinner in attempt to save some money - roast duck is basically in the menu everywhere. It was ok but not in the same league as the food that the hotel produced so I wouldn’t waste your time travelling in and out in the evenings. The restaurant is fantastic - breakfast and dinners and pool side lunch snacks we tried were fab. The staff work so hard to make everything perfect. They’d made such an effort for my birthday and made a wonderful cake. The reception staff were brilliant and helped organise great half day trips so we could do the Tam Coc boat trips and avoid queues. The have a wonderful boat trip that leaves from just outside the gate. Free bikes means you’re free to looter as you like. They also help us organise transfers to and from Hanoi and to and from a golf day at Trang An. Finally she spent repeated phone calls to Vietnam airlines customer service to help us sort and problem with our flights, much easier in Vietnamese!! The villas are beautiful and sympathetically designed to merge into the garden. Mosquito nets are put out each evening for you. Lovely tea and coffee in the room. All the ceramics are home made including the incredible bath tub which was a joy in the cool evenings (we were here in winter). Gorgeous pool and bar I really couldn’t fault our stay here.

I wish we could have stayedLonger
