THE GOAT BOUTIQUE RESORT

Our stay at the goat was wonderful - such a peaceful setting and the facilities were spotless. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is quite secluded but we were able to get a taxi incredibly quickly when we needed one and there was a great restaurant on site.

The resort is surrounded by beautiful nature, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and staff is very accommodating.

It is a little far from certain destination spots but no more than a 30 minute drive.

Location is good and views spectacular. Breakfast really good!

Road to resort, should be better

Amazing stay! The goat boutique is the perfect place to stay when exploring Ninh Binh. Staff are very helpful and can help planning any transfers or tours, either at reception or on WhatsApp. Also the tours they offer are so worth it! Not too far from tam coc either.

Restaurant stopped serving food a bit early considering the location is quite far out.

The place where is the hotel located is amazing,with a spectacular view and close to all the attractions

A beautiful spot in the middle of the jungle, beautiful experience.

Our bungalow was located in front of the pool area, which was noisy until late at night. The breakfast had some shortages, and it took a while for them to be replenished.

The resort is completely beautiful, especially when lit up in the evening, and we loved our cottage and overall stay. The restaurant is also excellent. Highly recommended for a quiet get-away and treat.

The access road to the hotel is in bad condition -- makes getting to and fro tricky, though not of course impossible.

Very nice, the pool is always open. The room was clean and fresh and the bed comfortable. The staff was very friendly and available for any questions. Very peaceful location.

You could hear people from the other bungalow, the duvet was too thin considering you needed AC to sleep at night for the hot and humidity. It is not close to the center so you need a grab to go but we were fine with this.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Goat Boutique Resort. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the surroundings lovely and well kept - very peaceful. Swimming in the pool on an evening was delightful. We also really enjoyed the food and breakfast here

Nothing major to note, there is a quite bumpy road to get to the property but nothing the resort can do about this and it’s worth it for the peacefulness when you get there.

The Goat Boutique Resort is an ok property close to all the Nim Binh attractions. The concept of a tropical refuge nestled amidst beautiful gardens is a wonderful one The decor is super fun. The food served at the hotel location was fresh and tasty.

The hotel has seen its better days. Everything is worn and outdated - from our room, to the pool, to the overgrown gardens - it all needs a refresh. It must have ben really wonderful a few years back, but it is showing its age. The games, free bicycles, pool chairs - are all dirty or moldy or falling apart. Our room was clean and met our basic needs, but the bed was super uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet had limited choices. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere - there's really nowhere to go beyond the property gates unless you have transportation.

Beautiful garden with people who clearly love keeping it tidy. Helpful staff when we come too late for diner. Pool is a dream, surroundings are gorgeous. Please go if you want an open and family friendly place.

The hotel is small. Off the beaten path. But once you get here, it’s magical. We are only in Ninh Binh for one night.

We booked two rooms. One for our 3 kids and one for us. They originally had our two rooms far from each other. Until I stated that’s not ok since they are kids. So they moved us closer. I think the hotel (and this should go to all hotels) to place rooms next to each other if they are booked together. There is a reason why we book multiple rooms on the same transaction.

An at the reception was the best! Very quick on WhatsApp to answer any questions and set up any grabs/ things that i wanted to do! The best stay ever!

The bungalows aren’t sound proof so do with that what you will :)

The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is picturesque and tranquil scenery. Even though it’s a little out from the main parts and there’s a rocky dirty path to get into the hotel, we never struggled to hop into a grab. The service is second to none, all the staff are incredibly kind and helpful.

We had a bad case of food poisoning after eating food from here, which meant we were stuck in our room for a day. I will say though, the staff were incredibly helpful while we were recovering. - The breakfast is below average. With all the food options cold and juices warm by the time we went to have something to eat, which was at 730am. - The room itself is outdated, not very clean and needs a revamp. - There’s barely any hot water. We had 2 days that we had to shower with cold water. And when you’re unwell, the only thing you want is a warm shower to comfort you. - We paid for a couples massage at the hotel. The entire time to two masseuses were talking to each other and laughing. There was no music playing, it was just their chatter and silence. The masseuses burnt me twice with the hot stones, after I repeatedly told her it was too hot. At the end of the massage, they asked us to tip them both. I understand that in some places a tip is appreciated and I’d be more than happy to provide a tip, however, seeing we were staying at the hotel we were caught off guard. We didn’t carry loose change on us thinking we wouldn’t need it and we only had large amounts, so we had to tip them 500k VND.

The resort is beautiful with amazing scenery and very peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The staff are able to assist with booking so many options from laundry, transfers, motorbike, activities etc

The hot water didn't work in the shower but the weather is so warm that it didn't matter :)

The Goat is a small and beautiful setting, offering some tranquility from the fun/noise of Tam Coc - but at the cost of a 15-20min grab (always easy enough to get).The property has been really thoughtfully done. The rooms are spacious and clean (at least the family one was) and the decoration nice - esp as night - as the pictures show.We were pleasantly surprised by the relative lack of mossies, and the kids enjoyed the small (but nice) play park - a nice open air games room with a pool table and foosball table (in average nick but fine for a quick bit of entertainment) and the simple but solid breakfast. The pool in the evening is a lovely spot to float under the sky and mountains.The area is stunning. The hotel arranged a guided tour of local highlights for us - we went to 4 locations. It was super hot, and quite fast paced, but the kids managed it and we took in some great scenery (the boat ride is the obvious thing to do, but is worth it - do the 1km cave option (version 3)). Did we need the guide? Probably not - we paid around 6m VND for a private driver and guide for the day…vs the 1m VND we paid the day after just for a driver to take us to/from and around Cuc Phuong. Def hard to justify the 5m on a guide - esp as these things are a that much harder with kids !Tam coc has lots of options for dinner and whilst the Goat is good for breakfast, snacks and drinks - we felt it better to mix it up for dinner.Cuc Phuong was a good day trip - 45 min to the entrance and monkey/turtle centres and another 30 mins into the middle of the jungle - from where we did a worthwhile 6.5km hike (this is the circular route with a hill, cave etc - there is a diff route that is more like 3km).Finally - the staff were super nice throughout.

Perhaps the dinner options could be better.Not sure about value for money of having a guide.

Beautiful resort surrounded by nature all around. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and willing to help at every moment. Fantastic stay - not to be missed!

The ambience and view were exactly reflected on the Internet. Food was excellent and staff were very accommodating.

The bungalows were spacious and cute. However, we could hear our next door bungalow clearly. Need better noise insulation.

If you want to stay at the most picturesque accommodation in Ninh Binh this is it! A lot of people commented on the different tour drop offs about how incredible The Goat looked compared to their accommodations. So pretty! The staff were wonderful too, really helpful and accommodating to your needs. They offered plenty of great support to get around and see and do the things we wanted. I only wish we had more time to spend at The Goat. The gardens and surrounds were beautiful, with a pool too. They had a games area and bikes available as well as a restaurant and spa/massage facilities. Breakfast had a nice spread too. Highly recommend!

Only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the hard mattresses, but that was common everywhere in Vietnam.
