Azalea Tam Coc Ninh Bình

PROS:- Location was far enough from tourist area to be quiet, but close enough to walk to.- Staff tried to help and be friendly, especially woman that does breakfast and does housekeeping.- Swimming pool was nice.- First 2 mornings the breakfast was really good and plentiful.

CONS:- Too many amenities (over 40) are listed on Booking.com page that are not true - they are not present at property.- Nobody at the property speaks any English.- There were no motorbikes to rent, so we rented elsewhere.- Nightly rate was DOUBLE (especially for all the amenities it didn't have) what it should be comparing to other similar properties in immediate area.We based our decision to stay at Havana Tam Coc Ninh Binh on the amenities listed on their Booking.com page. Especially that there is a kitchen in the room. But, it also noted that there is a jacuzzi in the room and many other things that don't exist. Either though an honest mistake, or deliberate deception, we based our decision on falsehoods. If our stay was not just 4 nights, but two weeks, we would've looked for another place to stay. Even so, there was not much availability at the last minute. We feel we deserve a complete refund due to this experience.

Everything was nicely updated and the rooms were clean and spacious. We were also able to rent bikes from them and that was a great experience. Also, the staff was incredibly nice and caring. Would recommend to anyone visiting!

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. We had an issue with the taxi we took to get there, and the receptionist went out of their way to assist us in resolving the problem. Throughout our stay, the team was always attentive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.The property is new and looks just like the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s also conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to explore the area.

The breakfast was ok for international people. However, it would be even better if they added cow’s milk as an option, and perhaps some jam or similar spreads to add a bit more variety.

The location was within walking distance of many restaurants and the Tam Coc boat launch.

The breakfast was repetitive. It was the same things every morning that we were there. The room constantly felt damp. We put the AC unit on dry function, but it did little to help.

The hotel was very nice and clean. It's a pity that it was raining sp we couldn't enjoy the terrace and pool that looked very nice.

The breakfasts finished very early and when we went there was nothing left. Make sure to wake up early.

It is a family run business and all the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It is off the main road and therefore it was a quiet location. Everything was reasonable priced and was child friendly

The room was big, very clean, with a big bed and all facilities - air coinditioning included. Good sweet and savory buffet breakfast. Unfortunately the weather was not so good to have a bath in the pool, which was cleaned every day!Anyway, the most special thing of the hotel was the kindness, helpfullness and friendliness of the staff, always available to give precious advice and take care of us! We’ve booked just one night but we decided to stay one more for all this. Very grateful, Thank you Havana Hotel!

Great value and comfortable stay in Tam Coc. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Excellent staff and delicious cooked breakfast in buffet style (rice, noodles, eggs, pancakes, fruit). Short walking distance to Main Street passing through Tam Coc. Easy to organise laundry (for an extra fee) and bikes were available to rent (for an extra fee). Pool will be good to cool off during warmer weather.

The staff, especially the breakfast team, were lovely and helpful. My husband was very sick and they gave him some medicine and offered to take us to the doctor. Breakfast is simple, but lots of it. Great location away from the Main Street - easy walk too though.

There is no daily room service & make sure you have a very quick shower - hot water runs out quickly. Needs to have some shelving or table in bathroom. A little fridge would be good.

Room was spacious and reasonably clean. Location was fine a short walk away from the busy street in town.

Shower not super clean and hot water a little temperamental. Staff were not especially helpful and seemed to just mill around the property not doing much - I had to wait a while for anyone to turn up for me to check in. One staff member cutting his nails by the pool and walking around topless was a bit unnacceptable. There seem to be a lot of positive reviews for this place which I can't seem to square with my experience which was mediocre at best. It's cheap so I wasn't expecting luxury but could have been better.

A beautiful room with a comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. The staff is kind and responsive. The location is excellent—just a few steps from the center, surrounded by restaurants.

The bathroom needs some serious improvements. The hot water lasts for only two minutes, which is incredibly inconvenient. There’s no proper space for shampoo, body wash, or other toiletries, so they’re kept in the room, which makes no sense. Additionally, when the hot water does come out, the metal tap becomes extremely hot, making it easy to burn your hand—I actually did. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I cannot fault this property. The room was clean and comfortable. We have a great view of the pool yard and the mountains in the distance. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We rented bikes and cycled round Tam Coc from the hotel for free and they also did our laundry for us for a same fee of 40,000/kg. Breakfast was also included in the price. The staff also sorted us an airport shuttle all the way back to Hanoi airport so our journey back was stress free. Absolutely amazing place. A must stay if you’re coming to Ninh Binh!!!!!

The setting was peaceful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The property was lovely and clean and the staff was super friendly. Just a short walk to the main road the room was very spacious and clean.

There was not much to do at the property. It didn’t feel very social. However some might like that.

Value for money, pretty ambience and close to the major eateries and tam coc boat ride and bich dong.

My stay here in Tam Coc was absolutely wonderful, a great place to stay for an excellent nights sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and took such great care of me, the breakfast was delicious and had great options for all. The pool was super fun to swim in with bubbles and neon lights in the evening. My room was very clean and fresh with a very comfy bed. I also had to check out very early on my last morning and was presented with breakfast an hour before it was supposed to start so I could eat. The hosts are very sweet and I couldn't recommend more.

The room was big and bright with simple decorations. It was everything we needed for our stay. We didn't use the pool area as the weather didn't cooperate, but it looked great. The staff were helpful and arranged a taxi and bikes for us.
