Aloft by Marriott Coral Gables

I love their rooftop pool and the lobby area with games and many lounge sofas and chairs.

Street parking is a bit pricey at over $3 an hour with fees. Don’t park accords the street at Publix, you will get towed.

Room smelled like urine. Had to boom another hotel and lost out on $---

Staff and housekeeping are the best!! Personable, knowledgable and very helpful!!

The hotel had a decent location close to restaurants and the airport. However, it was not one of the better Aloft I have visited.

The first night the A/C was not working. They offered to change our room, but it was 10pm and we were already in bed. The front desk staff was young and treated it just as a job. There was no smile or any indication the hotel was happy to see us arrive.

The staff was above and beyond. Food at the bar was great!

My credit card kept getting authorized for the full amount of the stay when I had prepaid through Affirm.

This is a great location for different kinds of activities in the area of Coral Gables and Miami.

Didn't heard a Welcome from the receptionist or on the morning not a smile or Good morning from anyone.

Really nice, upbeat hotel. I liked the use of vibrant colors in the lobby.

The only thing I would change is the towels. May be a result of shortages, but the bath towels were thin - like YMCA towels. Other than that I really liked this hotel.

Staff at the front desk was outstanding! She was helpful and seems to genuinely enjoy what she does.

The room smelled musty, so it may be time for a deep cleaning.

I did not like it that I had to pay an extra $25 for valet parking. It like easy access to my vehicle. Did not like having to wait and see the only valet guy running around to get everyone's vehicle to and from the parking garage

Didn¿t have the room type I reserved. Room smelled musty and damp from rain. They said several rooms had water damage.

Staff said there was no heating. The room was freezing and it could only be controlled by the central cooling. I had to block the cold air coming into the room from the hallway with a towel on the floor. No room service due to Covid. We had to leave t

We had an unfortunate situation with an extremely loud occupant next door. She was so loud it could be heard all the way down the hall, all the way to the elevators. The front desk immediately took action and we were upgraded to a quiet suite 🙂

Front desk employees were very thorough in explaining directions and COVID procedures. The hotel also does NOT charge extra for a pet to stay with you which is huge since most places charge a $60+ pet fee for my small, senior shihtzu.
