Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond Midtown/Glenside

Convenient location, decently priced and beautiful room. I really wish I had more than a 1 night stay. So many amenities that made my stay great. I have stayed at mamy hotels and this one is probably my favorite to date.

Coffee was cold in the lobby but I'm sure they would have made a new pot if I had asked.

The hotel studio was a great size for a family of 4 with plenty of space and amenities. The staff were super friendly and helpful from the front desk, to the breakfast staff. The kids loved the indoor pool and treats the front desk put out everyday.

Front Desk Staff was not very friendly. Pool was small and cold. A lot of road noise and loud cars whizzing by, location is just ok.

Location was good.

For a new hotel, not well maintained. Minimal staff. Room not well laid out (example - get out of shower onto toilet, microwave and cooktop tucked behind structural wall). Poor breakfast options with no staff there refreshing, ensuring cleanliness.

It was a busy weekend - hotel was almost fully booked and they were replacing carpets. Waiting to get into room and changed for event was almost impossible. Not a good time for carpet replacement.The breakfast is kind of sad. I have stayed in previous years and it was outstanding. The eggs were done at 8:45 and we had to wait quite a bit for more eggs. The night of our stay we wanted to purchase something from the refrigerator but there wasn’t anyone in the lobby. A note saying will be back in a little while. It appears not enough staff and not good management.

Beautiful hotel, CLEAN, QUIET, one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in honestly. We will definitely be back. Located right next to several restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Huge rooms! Huge bathrooms! Comfortable beds. Seriously great place.

I had to book this hotel because my other hotel was disgusting and had no water. Im so happy that I moved. This hotel was gorgeous, spacious and clean. The staff was AMAZING!

The space of the rooms was great and the amenities were wonderful for teens. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfasts.

The only negative was parking. It shares a lot with another large hotel and parking was very scarce. So I parked behind the second hotel, which was next to a homeless encampment.

Our room was right above a basketball court where people were playing until at least 10 pm. Loud music in public areas, even outside. No lotion in bathroom. Very suburban location where you can’t walk to anything. We knew this but keep it in mind when booking. Trade off is free parking.

I truly wanted to love this hotel. I picked it because of the amazing 9.1 rating. To start off, the staff was pleasant. I went to the front desk twice, and it took about 5 minutes for someone to show up, though, and it had a pretty lobby and dining/ bar area. They had free cookies, lemon water, and popcorn at the front desk area. Right when we got into the room, I noticed it was muggy. But it was hot out, so it wasn't a big deal, but the room was large and nice. I have a habit of checking mattresses for bugs, LOL so, I pulled the main sheet up and the fitted sheet and noticed that there was a mattress cover that had blood and stains on it almost like someone was picking their nose and they wiped it on there. Disgusting. Also, there were stains on the headboard. Breakfast was decent, so I had no issues with that. They had some type of meat (changed daily), eggs, and really good home fries. The Belgian waffles were really good the one morning. We were there for my child's competition so we decided to go to the pool after it. There was so much chlorine that it fully died her entire brand new bathing suit that was bright purple to a pale purple, almost looking white. And it completely fried her hair. I couldn't even comb through it no matter what we put in it. Even after a few days, there is still a waxy substance to her hair and clumps together. This was very upsetting due to having to put my daughter's hair up for the competition and have it curled, and it did not go well. The number one issue that I had with this facility was how loud it was in the room all day and all night from having our window at the four-way intersection. Every 10 to 20 seconds, there were very loud cars / trucks / motorcycles flying by. Almost like they were racing. Truly, it sounded like they were in your room half the time. To top it off, there was a light shining inside the top of the windows from a light post right outside the room.

Loved the style of the room it was roomy and very comfortable
