    Pros +

    • Staff was super attentive, spoke multiple languages, amazing location and view and the breakfast and the food from the restaurant in the evening was top-notch. Style of interior of the room beautiful and clean as well.
    • The staff was great. The villa was nice, and the convince of an onsite restaurant was great.
    • Johnathan from the staff was super informative and helpful. We had to leave a day early (not the hotel’s fault) and it was prepaid. We asked for a refund, but the manager said they couldn’t refund it (not sure why) but offered us a voucher for a night. The restaurant in the hotel had some nice pastas.

    Cons -

    • Mattresses were a bit old and could be more comfortable. Check-in location when we entered was unclear, we looked around for a reception or something until we ran into staff who were very helpful. Also, there were no simple ice cream or snacks available during the day really, just fancy restaurant at night. This was slightly annoying since it's the only place to get food on the hill they are on so you cannot just walk over to a supermarket or food corner either.
    • The hard water did a number in the faucet. Could use a faucet replacement and water filtration system. The kitchen water didn't taste good.
    • Our room had a connecting door to the room next to us. This was not stated anywhere. You could see down the keyhole light from the other room (didn’t dare to peek). We had to cover it with a jacket, which didn’t feel very private.Soundproofing does not exist in this hotel. You can hear every single thing from the room next to you and above you. If they speak or flush the toilet, you will hear it. We even heard the restaurant kitchen. The room didn’t look clean and felt dirty. The shower had a shower curtain which always touched you, even though the window and door were closed, and the floor kept getting wet when you showered due to bad insulation. Also, it doesn’t have to do anything with the hotel (they can’t change it), but if you’re looking to get to Florence in the evening, the best option is parking at the Signa train station, which is 10 minutes’ drive away, but for us it didn’t feel very safe at night; the staff told us it’s fine, but that’s the feeling we got when going there.

Beautiful views from room, friendly staff, and a comfortable and relaxing night's stay. Restaurant was quite quiet the evening we stayed but the food was tasty and it was nice to not have to go far.

All the staff were brilliant and really made an effort to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape.

Not their problem though really would recommend hiring a car as taxis have to come from Florence which can be pricey.

Very friendly and accomodative managing Lady. Excellent food on the estate. Bistecca alla Fiorentina is a must. Chef/husband is highly skilled in preparing and fileting. The son is perfect in tending guests with wine and food. It is a big estate, and the nimble staff is handling it well most of the time. The swimming pool is excellent. The view is gorgeous.Family atmosphere - one feels very comfortable!

Minor cosmetics on the estate can always be touched up. Some guests might be discouraged with a number of steps. The estate is on a steep terrain, so be prepared to climb the stairs.

Delicious breakfast, excellent swimming pool and very friendly staff members!

Breakfast was great each morning, with fresh pastries/tarts, Italian meats and cheeses, juices, etc. on the top floor with a balcony that overlooks the property and valley. Pool is beautiful and well kept. Pool deck is a great location to relax while unwinding from the 3 flights from the US! Great location with access to the train station in Signa for travel to Firenze (Duomo, Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery) or Pisa (Piazza dei Miracoli). Gorgeous view!

Honestly, the only item that gave any issue - the on site parking. It is on a very steep slope. But the same steep slope gives the hotel multiple floors and the great view! If we had parked at the bottom of the slope in the flat parking area, it would have been easier, but a much longer walk to the room.

In this Paradise, the best is the personnel, Gabriel Jonathan, chapeaux bas for the cuisine, for the heart you put into this place. The atmosphere is wonderful, the selection of music at dinner is amazing :) We love this place!!Dorota and Sandra from Polonia

Breakfast was fabulous. Staff ( family) were very attentive.

Parking is a bit awkward! It’s a steep slope so hire a small car to get there. In fact all the villages in the area need a small car just to get through them. The roads are very narrow.

We absolutely loved it at villa la malva, Jonathan Nellie and the whole family/ team members made our stay simple wonderful, The Hotel has a lovely Italian/ rustic vibe to it and haswonderful views of the surrounding countryside.Breakfast was lovely on the patio and Kirstina and her team couldn't do enough for us..

Nothing to add ..All I would say is that you should consider having transport in this area , we didn't but Jonathan was very obliging whenever we needed to go out ..as there are no local taxis..

    9EmirPosted on: 7-1-2024

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, secluded and quiet, conveniently between the major tourist cities (Florence, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano) all of which can be reached within 1 hour drive.

The problem is you want to visit all the tourist spots but also want to spend as much time as possible at the beautiful pool. So you need to photocopy yourself or just spend more time there. :)

Set in an authentic Italian village Wonderful kind staff and exceptional service Beautiful rooms and terraces Loved the steak and mixed grill for dinner

Hard to get to if you are relying on taxis. Just make sure you have a car.

    10YevheniiaPosted on: 6-1-2024

Great view! Amazing atmosphere. Good rooms , nice food !

Just a bit far from the downtown. Without car it’s impossible to get normally to the destination. Otherwise taxi drivers will charge you tons of euros and will try to fool you

Excellent location, amid grapes and olive plantations and a good veiw.

You have to purchase all the basic things like soap and drinking water at a high price. The restaurant has only one menu with very few options for all the days you stay. The owners are very strict about the compensation for even the slightest damage but do not provide services in spite of paying the amount.Breakfast spread is good, but but can be served in a bit generous way.For a four nights stay deserves a chance of towels and room cleaning.Responding to the reply: I believe that you are not understanding my point here. Even after offering to pay for the bedcover burnt with the hair curler by mistake without asking any questions, my kids were not provided a replacement for the bedcover for the next two days. The burning of the blanket was not done deliberately, it was an honest mistake and my kids do realize it. but it is the duty of the hotel to provide a replacement and not leave the guest without a blanket especially when I offered to pay without asking any questions and the price.

    Poor

We booked a room with private terrace and we got 2 iron chairs on the driveway....to count the cars along the close road????Worn out matresses and a sad room.Nice food in the restaurant

    7NofarPosted on: 5-5-2024

the view was amazing and the room was bigger than we expected which made us really happy the bed was great and comfortable, breakfast was good, shower a bit too small but ok.the staff are very nice coffe is good i will recommand going

the wifi wasn't working most of the time. there was no food at the hotel at anytime other than breakfast and dinner (dinner was availabe if you scheduled you'll come in advance and started at 20:00).and as it's far from the city it was hard that there was no option for food while the day. these are just things to take into account but the rest was really amazing
