Hotel Trouvail Miami Beach

Good customer service, friendly stuff, excellent location, beach near, pool area.

They don’t have good music on the pool area they need a dj on the nights :)

The aesthetic is cute and the room was clean. The cleaning lady is great!

I didn’t like that you have to pay for parking but that’s Miami Beach for you.

The staff was great, made it easy to check in. Close to the beach and they have parking.

We couldn't even stay in the hotel. The cleaning products were overwhelming - it smelled like a cheap version of bath and body works. I had to ask a staff member (there were 2?) to manually open the parking lot gate each time we wanted to move the car.

We didn't stay. We booked another hotel.

Location

Place is falling apart. Even 3 star hotels provide ironing boards and irons in the room. This place is a legit 2 star hotel in a great location, which I guess someone thinks makes it a 4 star hotel?!? Would not stay here again.

The Trouvail is a little gem. The rooms are gracious in size and the staff is friendly and helpful. They provide a quiet place to have a restful and relaxing stay.

The pool is mostly in the shade which could be seen as a positive for some. They rarely extend a late check out as they are small and are often fully booked.

Construction in surrounding area made neighborhood more difficult to navigate. We arrived relatively late at night so amenities were essentially all unavailable to us. Set up of room felt somewhat awkward. Overall, would give it another try in the future.

I did not enjoy staying at this hotel, and I would never recommend staying here.

In my opinion, the amenities and overall experience felt more in line with a 3-star standard than a 4-star rating.

Great location, wonderful cleaning ladies , bikes just outside the hotel , 20 min from airport.

We got the room one hour AFTER the check in hour , even if we had requested an earlier check in. Walls were very thin , we could listen ALL the conversations of our neighbours. The lobby was under some kind of renovation, would be great if we had known that . Bar has also closed . Staff ( except the cleaning ladies ) could have been friendly

There is no reception staff.. I was talking to robot via text during check in. From my room, I could hear noise upstairs and outside my room. It's an old building so you can hear someone walking above and outside. For over $200 per night, housekeeping is not included, so you have to pay extra $25 if you want your room cleaned.

The location was amazing! you have the citibike station right next to the hotel and can reach miami beach cheaply and fast (15' bike-ride, 40' walk). Moreover, the bus station 150 that comes from the airport stops right next to the hotel. I would definitely go back again. The 24/7 reception is a big plus, as I had to check out at 5.45 AM!

I couldn’t stand the smell in the room, it smelled strongly of chemicals, and there was no way to open a window for fresh air. It was very difficult to stay in the room, let alone sleep.The pool area also looked quite sad and uninviting.

I loved the style of the hotel. Location was also convenient. They have a lush patio/garden with a pool where you can sitt and relax. Complimentary beach towels and umbrella. Free coffee and water in the lobby.

Windows do not open, A/C was sometimes working, sometimes not. Elevator was out of service. People were using staircase. Room 212 was next to it, so very noisy. Request to change room was not fulfilled. Room Cleaning comes with extra charge of 25 US each. Fresh towels where however provided on request. Fridge and Microwave in tiny kitchen, but no coffeemaker

I could have done with a table in my room (I understand other rooms have it) and I’d love to be able to open the windows for fresh air, but these are minor details. It was all good and I would stay there again.
