Pros +
- Amazing location. Nice staff. Good breakfast and view from the rooftop.
- Great location right in the city center, close to everything. Nice breakfast, clean room, and the staff was really attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this place!
- The location is absolutely great. The hotel is right in front of the road you get quick access to transport, all markets are nearby to the hotel. Also, there are alot of food options nearby. Since the hotel have higher floors you get quiet and peaceful environment. All staff were helpful during our stay. Good breakfast with 3-4 options everyday.
Cons -
- For those on safari and have a late flight, the hotel could offer a delayed checkout for free or with a token amount instead of charging 50% of the price. Just thinking of making visitors yours....
- I didn't like the breakfast at all! Small amounts, same menu and taste of some foods weren't good enough such as 'falafel'. Also, the elevator made us terrified because of the creaks we used to hear while going up or down! Every time I got in, I had the feeling it might damage!! To my surprise, there was no fans inside the toilet. I had to deal with the water vapor along my stay! You have to fix this ASAP.
- Between floors 6 and 2 are terrific hotel like a horror movie, breakfast aren't good

being in the middle of the city, it is easy to go around and buy stuff, eat and get transport. A walking distance to Tahrir Square

I liked the cleanliness and the morning shift staff. On the other hand, the night shift staff were polite but less responsive than the morning shift staff (reception) to be specific. I like that the room that was big enough and quiet. It was street view and that was nice for me despite the noise. The location of the hotel is in the heart of Cairo where you can go everywhere smoothly. Also, Mr. Saleem heard this review from me and I hope he takes care of my concerns.

Dishonest Service and Unexpected Price Hike
I booked with AlAmin Hotel three weeks in advance, specifically for my fellowship exam. I arrived the night before, expecting a smooth check-in, only to be told that my reserved room was unavailable. Instead, they offered me a different room with a 30% price increase, stating it was "nothing to worry about." This was a shock, especially under the stress of an important exam the following morning.Someone even mentioned that this happens regularly with tourists, as though this justified the situation. This is the only hotel where I’ve faced such a manipulation of reservation terms, and it felt incredibly dishonest, especially for a hotel named “AlAmin,” which means honest.Unfortunately, I had no choice but to accept due to my exam. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those traveling for important events.
Great hotel with friendly staff clean room amazing breakfast
Location StaffBreakfast
LiftsThe shower. No tea facilities in the room.
Sara at the cafeteria was excellent friendly professional All the reception and staff were amazing
Location is good
It is very old building and not very well maintained also. The lift is unsafe. Staff behavior is rude.
friendly and helpful staff. in the heart of Cairo old city, near to many attractions including the legendary Pharaonic masala at the middle of Tahrir square and the Egyptian museum, but also near to restaurants, shops and metro station.
lack of amenities...
The housekeeping and breakfast staff were lovely.
They didn't arrive for my transfer but were adamant they did. I would have been hard to miss, standing alone for 20 minutes. Then they said my room wasn't ready, so their pushy "customer relations" guy Hussam could spend 30 minutes trying to sell me overpriced tours. Then, every time he saw me he pestered me. They don't seem trustworthy, so I organised everything myself after that for 5 days. The room was fine, but the elevator is scary - it works sometimes, sometimes not. The rooms have no water provided, though there is a fridge. And the doors to my balcony didn't close properly, making for an even noisier than expected night. While this hotel has a few stars on Booking.Com, it is a 1 star hotel on Google. It's not terrible. But be aware of what you're getting.
The breakfast was delicious and varied, the receptionist was nice, the location was strategic in the center of the country, the room was air-conditioned and quiet.
The room was small, the ventilation was not good, there was noise in the aisle.
The room and bed were comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
The staff was amazing, clean rooms, great hospitality.Breakfast was nice thanks to the lovely Sarah, she's an angel.
location is perfect just a few minutes to tahrir square and museum.
noise is quite in Cairo
Hotel has a front desk service. The room was spacious and clean. It included air conditioning and fridge. The beds were comfortable. The shower was with hot water. There were clean towels, shampoo and shower gel.The location is just perfect: 5-10 minutes walk from Tahrir square and Egyptian Museum & Qasr El Nil Bridge One can find everything in the neighborhood: restaurants of all kinds, grocery, exchange, pharmacy. All the staff were very nice and helpful.
