The hotel looks old from the outside. However, don't let that deceive you. The inside is a modern hotel with oldish charm. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is large. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. The link is location is superb; it's literally in the heart of New Cairo and not so far from downtown / old Cairo. There is waterfall in the pool and I enjoyed sipping Turkish coffee while sitting by the pool and listening to sound of the waterfall.

My stay at Helnan Landmark Hotel had potential, but unfortunately my experience was affected by a serious issue with the reception staff.The receptionist arranged a driver for me, assuring me he was cheaper than Uber and a reliable option recommended by the hotel. I trusted this advice, but the driver ended up charging me 130 USD, which is extremely overpriced for any trip in Cairo. The price was never communicated to me beforehand.When I went back to the receptionist to question the amount, he was unhelpful and dismissive, and made no effort to support or resolve the issue. It felt very misleading and unprofessional, especially since the recommendation came directly from hotel staff.Guests expect transparency and trustworthy guidance from the reception team, and this experience made me feel uncomfortable and taken advantage of during my stay.The hotel itself is fine, but I strongly advise future guests to avoid any driver recommendations from the reception and to use official ride apps instead.

Hassan was great in accommodating my requirements and meeting my expectations. He also gave me a room with a great view. The facility is clean. The room had everything that I needed. The size of the room was comfortable.

Some issues faced regarding reaching out to the Room Service for obtaining the menu and ordering food, and also regarding obtaining concrete information about late check-out policy. Both issues were brought to Hassan's attention when he returned back to his duty and he addressed them effectively. Also, there was some smoking although I was told that it was a non-smoking room but maybe it's not easy for them to control this matter.

Breakfast was ok

Floors are dark , people smoke everywhere , rooms lack of amnesties , for example my room has no ironing table , you have to constantly ask for things to be done , for example room cleaning . Hotel location next to a gas station made me uncomfortable

Comfortable room, all amenities as advertised. WiFi was easy to access and handled zoom etc. without any problems. Staff are friendly. Free breakfast had variety of options.

The grounds were nice. Beautiful pool and lots of space. They have a beatuiful pool but my experience was not so good. See below.

I was only there for 2 nights and asked for the room to be cleaned while I was out. Knowing, in some countries, it is necessary to hang the sign on the front of the door to indicate cleaning is necessary, I did. When I returned to my hotel room late that evening (after 10:30), I noticed no one had cleaned my room. I was put aside. I checked to see if the door hanger was still there, but it was removed and placed on the table across the hall. Someone had removed it.I called the front desk to ask for new towels, and they said yes, immediately. after 15 minutes I left to go to the restaurant as no one had brought me what I asked. I told them once again. They said "immediately", they also said they would make a note of the fact that my room was not cleaned when asked nor were the towels replaced in my reservation. After I finished my time in the restaurant and returned to my room, I noticed my key didn't work (which I replaced as soon as I arrived in the hotel that evening. Again, the towels were not there, only a fish robe which seemed to be just thrown on a chair. I called the desk again.... and they said "within 5 min" and someone arrived almost 20 minutes later. Looked at the chair and said it was there... only the robe, then proceeded to enter my room and search. (not what I asked for). Noticed a small towel on the rack and said "you can use this". This is not what I was paying for. not the service I expected when I ask. He said "ok, I bring in 5 minutes" and I told him to leave. When he left, he didn't even close the door. The door itself wouldn't lock unless pulled this is a very big safety hazard.The next morning, after breakfast, and after replacing my key, ONCE AGAIN (6 times total in 2 days), I was checking out and told the front desk person of the experience at the hotel. They said "you put the DO NOT DISTRUB" hanger on the door. Which is incorrect because it was removed...

Clean room, good restaurant

I stayed for 5 nights, and while it’s definitely not cheap compared to others in the area, the overall experience was just disappointing!My main issue was with the Wi-Fi. They gave me a QR code that led to confusing options, and when I clicked what seemed like the correct button, I was charged €24.99 (first a one-cent test charge, which was refunded, then the full fee the next day ?). I even received an email saying I’d been subscribed to some monthly service with no clear way to unsubscribe.When I asked the front desk for help, they first denied any responsibility and blamed me for doing something wrong. After I showed them exactly what happened, they switched to saying I had clicked the wrong option — apparently, I was supposed to select “Click To Watch” instead of “Click To Continue” - Honestly, that just made it more confusing and make the whole thing feel like a scam. And instead of offering a solution, they kept blaming me.They said they’d escalate it to their manager and even took my WhatsApp number, but no one ever followed up — not the next day, not when I checked out, and not even after a few days. In the end, I had to cancel my card while still traveling in Egypt, which was a big huge hassle, on top of the extra fee.Overall, the way the issue was handled and the lack of resolution were very disappointing!

The hotel charged me twice they took cash from me and deduct from credit card and when and also ıstayed one day less than my booking they didn’t refund the amount and when I contacted them by email they didn’t reply and I complained with booking and no body get back to me

Provid more training in hospitality career, checking up the rooms and staff attitudes.

Unfortunately the room wasn’t clean and hygienic enough, I experienced some of the challenges with professionalism of certain staff members, also there were delays in responding my simple request.

It is my second time staying in this hotel. I will repeat it. The room was spacious and the view was lovely. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. The hotel location is good. The breakfast was one of a kind, tasty, delicious, and had a lot of variety. The best is that I felt at home.

The location is perfect. the stuff are great and helpful. The cleanness is great, they clean the room is cleaned every day. I also tried the laundry service and they were fast and good. The breakfast is amazing.

Some staff members were extremely disrespectful. Upon arrival, I was told to leave my luggage in the middle of the street until the bellman comes. Mind you, the street, not even the ceramic floors of the hotel. Then one day we called for water bottles and the receptionist was like you already took today but I’ll let this pass this time. Absolutely unacceptable! For the duration of my stay I have not let housekeeping in, so calling past midnight for water is no crime. But the fact that we are spoken to this way is! Food needs a lot of improvement.

The hotel is amazing, clean, has good facilities and is close to many locations in new cairo.The resturants affliated with the hotel La Varanda, and others are really good. The staff is polite and helpful. There is a Beauty saloon and Spa with the hotel building making it extra special. I would like to add a special thank you to Mr. Ahmed from the house keeping who handled the 4th floor during my stay ((morning shift)), he was very very polite helpfull and clean.

The receptionists are unwelcoming and not profissional, and pay your requests no concentration even when face to face. There was an unfortuante incident on my last day where the evening shift from ths house keeping left a bloody and dirty clean rag near the tea kettle and water. Hung unclean and stepped on towels, dint replace the sheets per request and just made the stay hugly unconfortable because I wont be able to trust their cleaning crew.

I had a wonderful stay at Helnan Landmark Hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, and all the facilities were in great condition. Everything was well organized and made for a very pleasant experience.A special thanks to Mariam at the reception, who was exceptionally friendly and professional. She made the check-in process smooth and went out of her way to assist with anything I needed. Her kindness and welcoming attitude truly made a positive difference in my stay.Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again.
