This hostel is located in central Cairo, just 656 feet from the famous Talat Harb Square. It offers spacious and air-conditioned rooms, a small guest kitchen and a 24-hour reception. All simply furnished rooms at The Freedom Hostel come with a balcony and heating. Some room have a private bathroom, while other have shared bathroom facilities in the hallway. Continental breakfast is served in the morning. Several Egyptian and International restaurants, cinemas and shopping malls are located nearby. Tea, coffee and shisha cafés are located just yards away. Convenient guests services include laundry facilities and free luggage storage. It is possible to book tours at the hostel’s travel desk, which also has an internet corner to keep in touch with family and friends.

Pros +
- The staff was very friendly. They help us a lot as we where in our first day in Egypt. Reception always open. Comfortable rooms.
- Location was great, very close to Tahrir Square
Cons -
- Could be more clean. You have to climb many stairs.
- Entrance to the hostel was a dingy, dirty, smelly staircase and almost made me turn around. Once inside, the furniture was broken, the walls and floors not entirely clean, and the showers in the bathrooms were in disrepair. Pictures should reflect this.
