Pros +
- The breakfasts were not too plentiful, but they were sufficient and tasty, served on the hotel rooftop with a view of the pyramids — which would basically make up for even an unappetizing breakfast :) The entire staff was always extremely polite and helpful, providing service of a high standard. The bedroom had air conditioning, though unfortunately the fridge wasn’t working — but there are shops with cold drinks just below the hotel. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The hotel is located just a 3-minute walk from the entrance to the Giza complex. The area is quiet and away from traffic. Our stay was during Ramadan, so life started in the evening and continued until late, but it didn’t disturb our rest. There was always hot water, the room was cleaned, and towels and bed linen were changed.
- The location is super close, in town with near by atm machines. The staff smiled and was very friendly and helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and neat.
- Homey style. Friendly staff. And the best as the owner will change in USD if payment makes in USD.
Cons -
- It was a wonderful experience to stay in a family-run hotel, to spend time with and get to know the local residents, their neighbors, and everyday people on the street. Warm greetings to you all!
- We arrived late and I am sure that is why things did not go as we would have liked. We were not shown how to turn on the air conditioner and it was hot. It did work as we found out the next morning. One of our rooms had toilet paper, one did not. There was no "office" we arrived late, and so could not ask for some tp. We did not try the wifi. For the price it is an absolute steal and clean so we were glad we stayed, but one night was enough..
- Hygiene need to be improve.

The location to the entrance to the pyramids. Bed was comfortable. View from the rooftop was insane. The room was clean. Staff was nice
The location is perfect, 100 meters away from the enterance of Giza Necropolis. The hotel has a nice terrace with pyramids view, only one pyramid is not fully visible. The breakfast was simple, not bad. Environment is quite, you wake up with bird sounds. Tne area is safe; there are men who are trying to sell things and insisting in all around the streets but this is how Egypt is, after we got used to it, we felt safe; they are very insistent but not thieves.
The views from the rooftop
It feels illegal to stay there. No reception, no staff, no credit cards accepted... The most uncofortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I had to shower with cold water in january several times because hot water didn’t flow from the taps. Everything is dirty. The views are only on the rooftop. From the rooms you can’t actually see the pyramids (which is the main highlight they have and the only reason you would stay in such place so far from Cairo and in such poor conditions). The staff was nice though.
Kind and helpful staff. Quiet and secure location.
Breakfast the same every day but plentiful and good.
The hosts were absolutely amazing. Great communication, super friendly - they really treated us like family. Happy to help w.tours and fares...The location was perfect. 3 min walk to the Pyramids gate. Great rooftop - nice view of the pyramids, perfect for breakfast, (which was fresh & yummy), quiet and safe street. We celebrated New Years Eve there - so fun.Giza is overall a bit run down. Hotel is showing some ware and age.Well worth the money. Would definitely stay again & recommend to others.
Very close to main entrance to the Pyramids, good staff, didn't have time to try breakfast due to plans.
A bit hard to find at first and seemed a bit dodgy area? when I arrived at midnight, but it's alright during the day.
I loved the location. Right next to the pyramids!
Breakfast could be better. It was more of a Homestay
Location, worth money paid
Deluxe room did not look like a bit deluxe. Facilities, furniture, fridge, carpet were outdated, carpet need thorough cleaning
The location is almost perfect. 2 of the 3 piramids can be seen from the roof terrance but not the biggest one. The holtel located about 50 meters from the main entrance to the Giza piraminds. Breakfast is traditional and great. Room is good size for a double room. The room was very clean even with european standards. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathroom has a proper shower not with the sit on toilet shower.
Beautiful building but no elevator and the room is on the 4th floor so if you can't use stairs it's not for you. The street is not the cleanest but if you go to Egypt you have to accept it.
We liked everything there - from a wonderful view to the very helpful, nice people working there! They gave us water when we came late as were thirsty, also helped with keeping backpacks when we went sightseeing
We haven't noticed anything bad :)
Breakfast, WiFi, position, staff, the terrace, the views, the comfy beds.
The wardrobe was super dusty, so we didn't use it. It is a minor thing easily fixable. The road to get to it is smelly and dirty.
Dishonest owner
The owner charged me 2000 EGP at check-in, and I trusted him since the app displayed the amount in USD, so I didn’t double-check. Later, I discovered he had overcharged me by about 300 EGP.
Staff were very kind and helpful! Very accommodating on our 3 week stay. Amazing views of the Pyramid!
There was a powercut so no AC for a few hours but the staff still tried their best.
Hussein and his Team exceeded our expectations. The Royal Pyramids Inn is a safe h(e)aven in the chaotic life of Giza, with exceptional view, clean rooms, but most of all: dedicated and absolutely hospitable staff. Everything has been taken care of, we have not had a single request that has not been solved. However, we felt that they were constantly making sure that we didn't feel lacking in anything, trying to maximise our comfort with small gestures. I would like to highlight the friendliness of the staff: we arrived as guests and left as "family members". Highly recommend to everyone.
The staff is very helpfull and provides great service. Very good WiFi. Great roof terrace with splendid views of the pyramids.
We had to negotiate about the price for a trip by camel and horsecart to the pyramids. We would advice to work with standard rates for trips for guests. Especially as the formal rates are published at the pyramids.
Royal Pyramids Inn was our oasis in the desert during our stay in Giza. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were always doing everything possible to be sure we had the best stay. They went above and beyond to help us by answering questions about Egypt. I got sick one day and they personally escorted us to get some fruits, water and went to the pharmacy to pick up and deliver some medicine. They went so above and beyond. Truly amazing people who really care about their customers. I have stayed many places around the world and never had such incredible customer service. The air conditioning was live-saving in the heat. The view of the pyramids is incredible and something we will remember for the rest of our lives. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone visiting the area.
The first thing to say is the view at the roof cafe, it was magnificent. The location was perfect. We wanted to stay close to the pyramids and it was only two minutes away with walking. The staff was very helpful and informative about the area. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and enough to start the day. I would recommend it to everyone who would like to visit the pyramids.
Yes it was close to the pyramids but the city center was a 20 minute car ride away. The view was a little obstructed by the buildings in front but only the half of the great pyramid.
