Pros +
- Good location easy to carb a taxi , lots of shops to shopping nearby, and feel safe walking around at night, the facilities are new compared to most hotels in Egypt
- Location
- The cleaner Nada kept our room very perfectly clean and Ahmed was always very nice and helpful at the reception.
Cons -
- Our room was face to the street, it’s a little noisy during late night and early morning, it felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the street… (since we were tired, it didn’t affect our sleep
- The bathroom smells and specifically its in the bedroom separated by glass only
- Everywhere in Cairo you will hear the honking of cars. The windows were a bit thin so you heared that during the night.

Everywhere in Cairo you will hear the honking of cars. The windows were a bit thin so you heared that during the night.
Staff is extremely kind and friendly. Rooms are well decorated, really spacious and clean.
Unfortunately the soundproofing is very poor and you hear everything going on in the room next door as well as the corridor. This was unpleasant for a light sleeper like myself.
Great WiFi, friendly staff, quiet
Room was small and very basic
I travel often to Cairo and this is my favorite hotel, just good value for money, location in Zamalek is perfect one of the few walkable neighborhoods with restaurants art galleries around and not so far from Giza pyramids and museum. Breakfast was very good and the bar in the basement is quite fun. Great staff!
Nothing!
Convenient location in nice neighborhood. Clean comfortable room. Very friendly helpful staff, particularly Ahmed at the front desk. Food at the adjacent “sister” President was great.
Busy street 24/7. But ok if you ask for a room away from the street.
The location is next to the President Hotel and you eat and use their facilities. The staff was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast had lots of great options including the chef making us ful and falafel, which was great for plant-based options.
The room was spacious, air conditioning and water pressure were good, the bed was comfortable, and their laundry was good. Breakfast is in the adjoining President Hotel, and it is an excellent breakfast buffet with many choices. There is also a travel agency type person who can arrange airport transfers, car and driver for private sightseeing, as well as guides. This is an excellent service to have, and one that you can inquire about in advance from the hotel, so you can plan your stay in Cairo.
If you are sharing the room, beware that the "walls" of the bathroom inside the bedroom are glass or frosted glass.
The New President Hotel was hands-down my favorite place I stayed in Egypt. The location in Zamalek is safe (I'm a single woman who was traveling alone and never felt unsafe), quiet, and close to attractions and lots of restaurants - including one adjacent to the hotel and more in the President Hotel next door. The staff was lovely and helpful - they even helped me make a dinner reservation at the desk. The first night, I stayed in the Superior Single Room and the bed was a little hard and the bathroom had a semi-transparent wall into the bedroom, but otherwise, it was great value for the price. After that, I moved to a Superior King Room for five nights and it was amazing! Very roomy, comfy bed, and perfect turn-down service every day. I was so impressed, and it was great to come back after a long day of sightseeing to an impeccable room. Wifi was steady and reliable. Also, the snacks (minibar) came in clutch when I was starving after walking all day. There's also bottled water included in the rooms and a kettle with tea, coffee, and amenities. There was also a hairdryer in the room, which I really appreciated. Also, the breakfast next door was lovely - a full buffet and omelette bar with Egyptian dishes and a variety of food, including meats and cheeses, pastries, many different kinds of juices, even cereal. I would absolutely stay here again - even my guide said he recommends it to friends who visit Cairo because it's that great. I can't praise it enough - definitely stay here!
Really, everything was wonderful. The beds were a little firm, but that didn't really bother me too much since I like a firm bed. I will say that if you can choose the Superior King Room, it's worth the price difference from the other options, but any room is comfortable.
-Location-Very pleasant front desk staff-Everything was very clean-Breakfast was wonderful with great views of Zamalek-Staff at the restaurant were very professional, courteous and service oriented.-Convenience of storing luggage while we went to the Nile Cruise.
-Could have used more power outlets, especially on the desk for working on the computer.-Small beds-Luggage racks to open suitcases.-More clothes hangers-The shower splashed water all over the floor and into the room.
Room was clean and the area was quiet. Shower adjustments took some getting used to to but it was good after that.
No hooks or racks to place towels, other that floor, except for one rod under sink for face towel. Because clean towels took sink space, there was little room for our vanity bags on the sink top, nor any shelves to put the on.Restaurant for breakfast and dinner was next door on 11th floor, we purchased breakfast and dinner package. Food was okay. My wife is picky and didn't like the choices for dinner and salad delivery was not what she asked for and returned it.
Clean and good service
Noise from the school
Very Clean room, fabulous breakfast (thanks to Chef Meeto!), and as always, a wonderful team! Special thanks to Nada from room service for her excellent service.
The hotel is really well situation on a cute quiet street right next to several restaurants. I also liked the size of the room the cleanliness and the warm staff. It is right next to the larger 'President hotel' which has a great restaurant on the rooftop and is where breakfast is served.
As everyone has mentioned, the AC is very noisy and the room gets stuff if you turn it off. I opened a window and it helped a bit.
LocationThe staff was helpful, Courteous
Plumbing could improved
Good neighborhood. Very nice bathroom.
Room was small
Great hotel in Zamalek. Clean room, warm staff, great location and good restaurant!
Nothing - thought it was great. Good value for money.
clean, best location, friendly staff, good value, good breakfast.
The cleanliness, the location and the staff
The breakfast is ok but could be better and the AC keeps switching on and off, while it keeps good room temperature but it was a bit disturbing for a light sleeper
