Maxim Hotel

I stayed for one night, September 6th, and requested cancellation of the other two nights. I did not get reimbursed for the two nights I cancelled.

There was a lady overseeing the second floor named Manal, who was incredibly pleasant and polite. She was the sole point of contact for any inquiries or conversations

The hotel experience was quite disappointing. When we arrived, the receptionist was extremely unfriendly and treated us disrespectfully. It's disheartening to see that the hotel employs staff with such negative attitudes. We were tired and hoping for a warm welcome, but instead, we were met with indifference. This was our first and last time staying at this hotel. It was a truly disappointing experience

Breakfast was ok but there is need to consider diversifying it. it was the same food throughout the entire stay with no variety of food to choose from.Staff was friendlytowels were adequate and clean.Amenities were adequate...thumbs up!

The floors in the room were sticky, and the walls in the shower need further cleaningThere were electricity cuts of 1 hour per day. A generator may need to be bought by the hotel so that guests enjoy their stay better

The location was good, had lots of shops near by.The reception staff was really helpful and cheerful.Room was clean and upto really good standard Had all the facilities that were mentioned on the website.Really happy with the booking

Location is great! Also one of the staff, her name is Manal, best staff member and very friendly.

Staff are unprofessional and unfriendly. Breakfast is really bad. Price is not as in booking here. Also the receptionist took my money from me the first day I checked in and said a receipt will be issued later. Checking out I was given a receipt not matching the amount I paid and tried to deny that until I insisted and met the manager and then they gave me a receipt for the remaining amount.

Lovely staff, always willing to assist. The GM a fine gentleman sorted my $ payment in cash problem by canceling my booking free of charge and booked again as acceptable to the hotel. Served me good and well brewed cofee severally. The cleaner on floor 2 Ms Nady always active and friendly. Will certainly stay again.

The location is excellent. The lady Receptionist and the GM sorted the payment procedure due to $ payment by foreigners excellently well. I canceled the booking at no charge and re-booked again.

We had electrical blackout for 2 days even though they worked hard and restored it.

Location was good, rooms were clean and comfortable .

There was a power cut for 2 hours every evening and wifi didn’t work half the time

One of the staff wasn’t Egyptian she was uncooperative and the entrance of the Hotel is old plus the breakfast is repetitive either boiled or fried eggs , bathroom was very narrow and the shower place is not good for over wight And complementary water provided only once.

Rude and disturbing staff.

Would not recommend as the staff is very rude and disturbing they simply would not let you go on about your day with out bothering you and I have even had an incident where the opened my room door while I was inside the room.

Location: the street is so dirty dusty and noisy; the area is ghetto. the room is too small and has worn out furniture the bathroom is extremely small, difficult to move around; the exhaust fan is not working it stinks every time you take a shower because there is no window and the exhaust fan is not working the breakfast is a joke; very poor quality and you still have two pay four most items separately the view is horrible; all you see is the next door building which is very old dirty and has broken when windows and is like 20 feet away from the room window the place is generally not clean and it looks like it's still under construction the room is extremely overpriced for the quality. I pay the same amount for a decent and much larger room at Holiday Inn or La Quinta or a similar motel in the US. Totally not worth it. just stay away.

The staff attitude was not really friendly. The service was not really good, I had to ask twice to get water which is some thing that should be provided by default.

The bathroom was small, The receptionist spoke no English and was very slow in the process. We didn't receive breakfast as we left the hotel at 6 am. But the reception informed us breakfast would be given the night before in our room, which was not provided.

The entire building is for the hotel, close to cafes, restaurants and shopping district, the staff were friendly.
