Mazeej Balad - Boutique Hotel - Adult Only

I'm still waiting on a refund after being overcharged at checkout. The person checking me out put an extra zero on my bill. I having a very hard time getting a refund even though I've presented them with the receipt and all the documentation. They are saying that they can't give refunds. Even though this is an obvious mistake.

Even though this is an obvious mistake.Oh, and they forgot to bring me my breakfast that I ordered the night before because I had an early tour the next morning. Apologized and gave me a free beer later....but I didn't eat that morning.

The hotel brings freshness in Cairo, its new, modern, elegant with style and has a perfect vibe (rooftop is a hotspot in the city). The highlight of the stay was the staff for me, Youki, Yomna, and Abdulrahman were just amazing ! Such lovely people, always smiling, dynamic and ready to help, and mostly very professional !

A truly marvelous experience: the hotel is centrally located, the staff is exceptional and always ready to make one’s stay more agreeable. The Rooftop restaurant and bar was magical. Many thanks to the front desk for their help in making this a memorable stay.

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful hotel — it’s truly one of a kind in Cairo! Everything about my stay was exceptional: the stunning interior design, the incredibly comfortable beds, the amazing rooftop, the delicious cuisine, and above all, the wonderful staff who made me feel so welcome. I travel extensively and stay in many hotels around the world, and I can confidently say this place is truly special. The location is fantastic too — just a 5-minute walk to the Egyptian Museum. A perfect 10/10 experience!

I really enjoyed the 5 star accommodations. All of the staff were so professional and helpful. The manager Omar went out of his way to make sure of my safety while catching Ubers around the area.

Mazeej Balad is conveniently located in downtown Cairo, with easy access to markets, restaurants and the airport. The hotel has only got 5 rooms but the staff told me that they are in the process of expansion. Nevertheless, the rooms have their unique features and I was lucky enough to stay at the one with bathroom. They paid a lot of attention to details and basically I could just check in with my clothes and passport only (all the toiletries, bathrobes and slippers were provided)! I have to mention that their catering is superb; went there for drinks a few night before check-in, had dinner on the night I stayed as well as breakfast. Their juices are 100% fruits and fresh!As the first boutique hotel in Cairo, they have done a great job!

Not much really, perhaps a boost of their hot water system to accommodate the use of bathtub would be ideal.

The rooms are modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. The rooftop is absolutely stunning. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service from the reception staff. They went above and beyond to assist with every detail, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience.

Every corner is thoughtfully curated, creating an ambiance that is both stylish and immersive.We had both dinner and breakfast on the rooftop, and it was a wonderful experience.Service was absolutely impeccable. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. A special thank you to Omar Ismail, whose kindness and accommodating nature truly stood out, adding a personal touch to the outstanding hospitality.Overall, Mazeej Balad is a perfect blend of aesthetics, great food, and top-tier service. I highly recommend it and would love to visit again!

The only small downside was the dangling light next to the bed, which we both accidentally hit our heads on—something to keep in mind!

What a beautiful oasis, in a fun but hectic city. The room was beautiful, the rooftop restaurant amazing for breakfast, and the staff were lovely.

The only thing was the hot water

The moment we drew up and looked into the lobby to see a lit chandelier, we knew that we had found something special. We loved the art on every wall and the beauty of the building itself. To say our room was divine is not an exaggeration. We have stayed in many hotels, boutique/ five star/ otherwise, and we honestly found this room a delight! Beautiful in design and decor that is incredibly comfortable and thoughtful. So many little touches. Then what a surprise to have our inclusive breakfast be such an event! So good we came back for lunch and dinner drinks and snacks too. We loved sitting in the sunshine amidst more eclectic, interesting and comfortable decor. It has to be seen to understand the wow factor! Great service with great coffee in the morning and vibrant buzzing cosmopolitan feel in the evening! Enjoy it at all times of day if you come.A very special boutique hotel.

This hotel in the middle of Cairo is a hidden gem. The places is new, with a super nice decor. Great style. The rooms are spacious and super nice decorated, comfortable also.This boutique hotel is the first one in Cairo and can compete with a 5 star hotel easily.What we liked the most was the staff, SUPER attentive, super helpful and nice. They went extra mile with everything we needed. Especially Mo, the guy from the front desk when he saw that we were freezing, he gave us his jacket to take it with us on the terrace.Also the restaurant up has really good food and is the best we saw in Cairo. Again, the service was top notch!

I had a wonderful stay at Mazeej Balad Hotel in Cairo! The room was absolutely amazing—beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff were fantastic—Shad was super friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast spread was great, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day right.

Hot water issues the first night but the staff got the issue resolved moving forward.

Very unique and cute boutique hotel with 5 rooms only. It’s so cozy and really feels like home. Our room and hotel facilities were remarkable. Front desk and reception will make sure your stay is more than perfect and their services are on point.The rooftop is another story it’s really an add to the place and to Cairo downtown, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was delicious and service was spotless ??
