Interesting property, nice staff. Toilet sort of worked, at least better than the shower - we lost power twice…New hot water heater on roof failed during our stay. One mattress was okay, the other one had failed…Great location and reasonable price though.

Location was excellent.

The room was extremely damp, with constant humidity that made everything feel wet and uncomfortable. The bathroom was a major disappointment — dirty, poorly cleaned, and with no hot water at all, which made showering unpleasant. There was also a persistent musty smell, and the overall condition of the space felt neglected. This stay fell far below basic expectations, and I can’t recommend it.

The room was large, nice with two proper beds and a shower with hot water.The location is perfect: close to the ADO and collectivos stations, close to Cénote Zaci, close to the main place.The staff was quite nice with us.

Staff was friendly but not very helpful. The common areas are nicer than the room itself, furniture is not very beautiful and lighting could be better. Big window but curtain must stay shut at all times as it leads to common corridor.

Fantastic location for seeing the sites of Valladolid. Easy parking. Lovely staff. Basic but comfortable rooms including comfortable bed. For the value, would stay here again despite the "quirks". We had 2 rooms - one upstairs and one by the garden - upstairs room definitely more spacious.

Lots of "quirky" things like having to follow instructions and run the hot water for 5 minutes before it gets hot. Dehumidifier in room to keep damp out had a loose connection and needed emptying before it worked. Garden room felt like it was IN the garden - if anyone else was in the garden could hear everything they said (definitely take a room upstairs).

The hotel was pretty and the room was clean. Showers worked well. Location was very good as well. Also had a nice rooftop area to hang out. No complaints.

The location was excellent - all the main points of interest in Valladolid were within easy walking distance.

The room itself was not great. One of the mattresses was partially collapsed, and the bathroom had the strong chemical odor of a urinal cake. Parking was free, but they only have about 6 spaces for approximately 15 units, with some spaces apparently used by staff. After the regular spaces were filled, guests would double park, blocking egress for the spaces. We found ourselves avoiding driving altogether, or trying to get back to the hotel early so that we could grab a "good" space.

The photos can mislead one, as the rooms are really just large enough for a family.

We took a side trip from a stay in Cancun to spend time in the Vallalodid area, and decided to relocate there so that we would be closer to the sights we wanted to see. Hotel Colonial Zaci was the perfect option for us. It has comfortable rooms and a spectacular location close to Parque Principale, a variety of wonderful restaurants and cafes. The private parking made for safe parking of our rental vehicle and was easy to access. Most notably, when one of our group members left some personal belongings behind, including a passport, the hotel went above and beyond to help us get them shipped back to Cancun so we didn't need to drive all the way back to Vallalodid. I highly recommend this property.

Some neighbourhood noise on the roads but nothing we didn't expect. Ear plugs and some white noise helped us sleep soundly.

The hotel is very trendy. Staff were fine but did nothing extra. Junior suite is large with a great terrace and a california king bed that was extremely comfortable.Great terrace on the roof to watch the sunset. Location 1 block from the grand plaza & zocala is excellent.

Booked the junior suite...poor lighting and no chair/desk or workspace. The hotel is missing the little things for a higher rating. A small coffee machine in the room would be nice. Hot water is only luke warm and requires patience (old building).

Staff not knowledgeable about the town (or unwilling to answer) as they were not really able to answer any question we had. Cold showers. (even after following the instructions that were noted on the wall)

Lacking in some amenities. No cups in the room, no refrigerator, no coffee in the lobby in the morning. Our room door scraped the floor and made a loud noise every time we opened or closed it. shower was weak and took five minutes to produce worm water
