Pros +
- Location , staff is very very friendly
- Clean beds .. good location
- Very authentic colonial hotel. If you want an elegant and serene Casa Blanca experience you couldn’t do better. Tlacotalpan is languid, meditative town. If you are looking to get away from the beaten path, Posada Doña Lala will enhance your dreamy escape.
Cons -
- Location is good but also not good — right on the main highway and can be very noisy. But perfect spot to walk from, and we had a view of the river. Hot water — mornings only.Bathroom floor has tiles that make it impossible to dry. So it’s always wet. Restaurant really good.
- If you’re bothered by traffic noises you should request a room on the Zocalo side of the hotel. On the parking lot side of the hotel occasional comings and goings can momentarily disrupt early bedtimes or sleeping in.
- noise all night on New Years Eve, hotel is next to a central park, asked for quiet room on opposite side of hotel, was assigned one on ground floor next to park, air conditioner leaked entire time, placed trash bin under it to catch dripping, nightly cost is approximately $100 US. way overpriced for accomodations, believe cost is relative to location, creepy bad art/paintings throughout hotel.

location is in central of city, no transportation necessary as easy to walk to restaurants, shopping

Beautiful old hotel. Helpful staff - wrote out the best route to Oaxaca for us. Parking in marked bays just in front of the hotel. Next to market in one direction and the very colourful colonial houses in the other. View of the river.
Hotel restaurant closed early. Noisy food stalls by the river.
Location and style of the building
Staff mainly ignores you. The only thing we got on arrival was: Booking.com? Room had also a strange smell
great water pressure in the shower, nice view from the windows onto the river
We booked the junior suite. It was very spacious, but that was about it. The suite was split into a bedroom and a living room, which held two lonely rocking chairs in the empty space and a raggedy couch pushed against the far wall. With some added furniture like a coffee table, a desk, a small dining table or such the space could be lovely. But the way it was, it was just sad
The location is great, near the river and the main plaza.
The owner of the hotel is not nice. The hotel is getting old and needs a lot of work. The details are poor. Furniture is old. The tv doesn't work well. The internet is very poor. Bathrooms smell bad, like drain. Beds are hard. Expensive for the hotel value.
Great place with historic feel and atmosphere
All good
