Pros +
- Location and design outstanding
- I stayed at Hotel Azucar for a week with my wife after Christmas and through the New Years. The dinner/super menu was better than the breakfast, but not all of the dishes are of equal quality. I enjoyed their steaks, kabobs, and tacos, and even though I like spicy food, some of their salsa's where a little much for me and gave me heartburn. Try not to eat too much spicy food if you are not used to it.I liked how the rooms where made and the surrounding landscape, as well as they had hamocks outside your rooms and on the beach. There are surrounding restraunts in the area, but we only went to one at the recommendation of one of the wait staff, the food was good.I enjoyed the music from the DJ on New Years Eve.
- U need internet on the rooms
Cons -
- Personell is exceptional, despite few individuals that seem less motivated
- The first room we had, the toilet wasn't flushing right and we asked to be moved to another room, which they showed us some other options and we moved. For me the bed was a too hard, but I like a plush one, my wife didn't complain.Because of covid we ate most meals there, the breakfast menu is lacking and could use some improvement, but if you special request something, they will accommodate. The sand is a little gray in color and it was rather windy there, which made it a little cool in December. Because of covid all of the other potential historic sites were closed, so not much else to do, but enjoy the beach and relax. For New Years Eve, they had a special dinner for the guests and a DJ, which was decent, but over priced.
