Hotel Imperial Laguna Faranda Cancún

The room was flooding with water coming down walls. They had no other room to offer. We had to go out and find another hotel. Have been fighting for 2 weeks to get a refund.

This hotel is not what is on the website. I had a leak above Mt bed the last 3 days. It was awful. We checked out early. Veey rundown! Walls paper thin and people party all night. Horrible experience. Never again!

I didn't like anything about this hotel.

The hotel look nothing like the pictures. The infrastructure is very dated and there was not even a hair dryer available in the entire hotel.

Staff was friendly.

Toilet continuously broke. Like every day. Bugs (gnats) everywhere. Doors slamming throughout the night. VERY loudly. People shouting in hallways (staff did nothing) Scuba class at 7am every morning,tanks banging on pavement and pool full of scuba people

The price was cheap, but I would find something else in the future. Not a good place.

Run down and dirty. Cleaning did not appear to be done and I really didn't want to sleep on the bed. Later we saw bedbugs. I would recommend finding another option.

The property was in an ok spot.. a little shop right next door for all the essentials but definitely need transportation for most, not exactly walking friendly.

The worst part of the property was the staff, which is unfortunate because I really liked the night front desk person who checked me in. But the daytime man was extremely rude and unprofessional. On my second day I was heading out to the lobby for an excursion pick up and I realized I wasn’t sure where my key was. I needed to get to the lobby so my tour wouldn’t leave me so I thought I’d just ask the front desk for another key so I could get going. I went down to the front desk, but he refused. I explained I was sure I had the key I just couldn’t find the key at the moment and need to get going for my tour, and he still refused. I asked how I could get back to my room then and after a lot of inappropriate commentary he finally agreed he would make me a key, but I would be charged for the first key if I didn’t turn it in. Mind you, this is just the basic plastic keys, so I said that’s fine I’m sure I have it I just need to get going. He continued with a lot of unnecessary commentary and made me a replacement key. When I got back from my tour 7 hours later, I walked into the hotel and he immediately spots me, calls me over to the desk even though he was helping other people, and demanded I check if I had the original key. I went to get it, came back and turned it in. This front desk man acted like this little plastic key card was his first born child! When I was checking out, it was the same front desk man and he wouldn’t speak a word to me. When he finished checking me out he said “that’s all”. Not even a how was your stay? Or thanks for staying with us or anything at all. I don’t know why he took the room key so personally and made it a personal vendetta against me, I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life. Not worth the hassle to stay here when there’s so many hotels to choose from.

Superb nice hotel in the beginning of Zona hotelera The staff was very nice and friendly. Every day the room is cleaned.

Fridge in room worked properly and wifi also worked good.

It was not noisy place and nice pool. Price was overpaid for the old hotel with no WiFi at the room. Service of people was nice, they are good.

Breakfast was good, and was not bad for situation.

Didn’t get room I paid for and struggled to get moved again not what I’d paid extra for, lots of things didn’t work in room and was very old, if I hadn’t paid up front I would of left straight away, but it was the cheapest and you get what you pay for, and got used to it in the end??didn’t look anything like pictures on site,very old hotel.

Staff were great, super friendly. Pool was clean and there's a 24 shop around the corner... 10 min walk to the beach, red bus at the corner to go down the strip. Good value.

Terrible. We checked out 2 days earlier and cannot get our prepaid money back

The hotel's condition (facilities, cleanliness and confort) is far away what it shown on the website. dirty restroom, wet floor, dirty towel, broken window locker and more. They should NOT charge what they charged.

The hotel is located in the zona hotelera which is safe and it was a plus to use the sister location. The other location by Faranda had access to the beach but it is not a nice beach at all.

The facilities are run down - perhaps we could say you get what you paid for - we found this hotel at a sale price that was incredible One reception staff was absolutely awful to deal with, his tone and attitude left much to be desired I believe his name was Carlos. Everyone else were very pleasant and were very willing to assist.

Location - close to places to eat and bus stops and about 15 min walk to the hotel zone

This place is worse than motel 6/ basic economy motel. Everything at this hotel is really old, needs fixing or painting or needs to be replaced. Seems like this place lacks basic maintenance, about 30 yrs past its prime. WiFi was spotty, had trouble with the shower. Apparently hot water is available but due to solar water heater, it takes about 10 min for water to get hot. Would’ve been nice if someone had told me at check in vs having to ask the front desk when I didn’t seem to have water. The AC in the room worked well, there is a microwave and fridge in the room. No hair dryer. FYI this hotel charges an extra $5/ night govt fee on top of the fully paid rate per booking. I had to complain as I was tired upon arrival and didn’t want to have to deal with this nonsense. Do not recommend. If looking for something decent, book the Sina Suites down the road.

Big room, prefer location 10 min walk to main Cancun beach and stores.

room smells awful, water damages. Need renovation. There was kitchen and microwave, but not dishes, not even plastic glasses.
