Disappointing
It was very loud. The inner atrium was super loud and the walls are paper thin. The single bed room we had had no windows until we got moved to another room, which did have windows
Breakfast was always delicious, I needed light things for a fussy stomach and the staff were so helpful. Soup for breakfast or even a plate of fruit with yogurt, or full breakfast was easy and quick and the coffee was always fresh. But, if you're not used to "local places" you might not be as happy, but we love this little hotel and the excellent value for our money.
Sometimes was a little noisy between other guests coming in late, but earplugs work just fine. The bar does play music until 10pm but never late in the night.
Great location, spacious room, friendly service.
The pillows were hard and uncomfortable.
Clean and staff was helpful
Beds were super firm no bounce at all
Clean, friendly staff, gate closed in the evening. Need your room key in order to proceed to your room. Good location, safe , near food places to go have a drink and chill with family or friends. Receptionist can arrange Taxi pick up . Zocalo is 15 min driving distance . Safe location, peaceful. Maybe they can just place their ? upper middle of the bathroom shower that your able to take a more comfortable shower as water ? power is not as strong. But besides that very pleased and comfortable and would highly recommend. Planning on staying there next trip to Oaxaca .
The water pressure , and believe they were clogged or maybe suggest to move them to the middle of the chalk g of the restroom to slow ave this issues.
Great location, food in restaurant was good, friendly and attentive staff, easy off-street parking.
Room was small, bed was on a wooden base we kept stubbing our toes on. Hallway lights were on motion sensors, good idea considering Mexican electricity rates, but they needed some adjustment so that guests are not stumbling around in the dark.
bathroom was ok, good pressure, no water issues, room service was great always had new water bottles available,
they fully charged for the room one week before arriving despite selecting "charge upon arrival" when booking room....old hotel, very high price for a low-quality place, heater did not work, smelly old carpet, old towels, front desk did not allow a late checkout (busy week) despite we saw a lot of vacant rooms, room on 4th floor had a window with no lock, easy to open and we felt unsafe as several family members are sleepwalkers, also a lot of noise from street activity very early in the mornings. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.
Located in a safe area and I loved the measures they take at night to protect all guests.
The room was a little small but we managed
Our Maid was so great she couldn’t do enough for us! Some of the older reception staff were not so friendly or helpful.
The rooms don’t offer a coffee maker or a safe.
The location was perfect for us--just a few blocks from my in-laws house. In addition, the hotel had a large parking lot and was conveniently located near several excellent restaurants, bakeries, ATM's, shops etc.
A box of Kleenex, a coffee maker and an iron/ironing board in the room would have been nice to have.
The breakfast was just ok. It was buffet and often soggy, or overcooked. Not well prepared. Over priced for the quality.
It was basically over priced. When the maids cleaned my room they left the door opened and then left the room. I walked in got something out of my suitcase and never saw anybody. I could have been a thief going through the suitcase, and gotten away with something valuable. Half the time the key card didn’t work and I would have to go to the lobby to get it reactivated. It was just substandard.
Food was good. Location was good.
Cold water shower!
It is located in a good area
-The staff was very unfriendly-Keys were blocked once a day, so we could not enter our room - it was not solved, even it was promised by staff -Towels were missing and we did not received any, even after multiple requests-Construction site at hotel , so noise from 8 am on (daily)-TV not working & WiFi very bad
30 minutes away walking distance from the center. staff was available 24/7. laundromat close by.
quite noisy from the street
Traveler's beware ! I came in to town for day of the dead festival, stayed here a total of 5 days. It was the only reasonable price and closest to centro but travelers beware , don't let the hotel pictures fool you . When I arrived to my room Day #1 , the sheets were clean & bed was made but the walls were dirty /finger prints /dirt & stains . The carpet has a huge Iron burn in it but the rooms doesn't provided a Iron , carpet has several stains though out , water damaged cabinets and Toilet doesn't flush properly. Day #2 I called the hotel manager to inform him about the toilet issue , he said he would come up , 30mins later we hadn't seen or heard from him . I called again , this time he hung up on me. Now 40 mins later he shows up and he came in and took a look and he said " your toilet is clogged " I informed him it's been like that . Ask him to fix it please and he replied " I don't know " and walked out , never seen or heard from him again . I had to call house keeping to unclog toilet, which they didn't have a plunger and had to use a toilet bowl brush . Called BOOKING.COM and they weren't any more helpful , I was told they would send an email . Wish I would have booked somewhere else but the entire city was booked up
Clean and quiet
Unfriendly staff at reception
I chose this hotel specifically for the parking. We were going to be in the City overnight with our large 15 passenger van, with things we'd already purchased. The parking lot is big, plenty of room for us to pull in, turn around and back into a spot. I don't think the gate is actually closed at night, but I didn't think it would need to be. It's walled in and there are cameras. When we checked in the clerk didn't actually talk to us at all. Well, we started with a woman who was nice and welcoming, then a man came and took over and he didn't even say our room number, much less describe where it was located or offer to show us our room, or even just say "good evening". The rooms are all centered around a hallway that overlooks the lobby. It's very noisy. You hear everything in the halls. Thankfully we were not there during a busy time. The curtains are not light blocking, the hallway lights are motion sensitive, so anyone walking down the hall turns on the light right outside your window. The room is exceptionally small. There is a full sized bed and barely enough room to walk between the bed and the desk or wardrobe. The floor is carpeted, which I appreciate when there is no heater. The shower was fantastic, plenty of hot water and fabulous pressure. The room was very clean, although a bit worn.
We'd likely stay again if only for the ease of parking a big vehicle
