Pros +
- The location is perfect for Centro Oaxaca. Easy to get to festivals and markets.
- Social hostel with a very good kitchen. Free home made Mexican breakfast! Hot showers (some of them) and a roof top bar and hang out space. Location was great! a 20 min walk from the bus station and 7 min walk to the plaza.
- The activities the hostal propose everyday. The ambience
Cons -
- It is a hostel. Common areas, bathroom, kitchen, were usually pretty dirty. I stayed in another hostel afterwards and it was much cleaner, included breakfast and had staff around to always answer questions or provide advice.
- It gets noisy in the dorm as it is right next to the social area in the middle of the hostel. The kitchen also gets very noisy as a busy road with cars drive by all the time and the window-doors are open all day.
- Wifi doesn’t work in the terrace (which has a setupOf “co-working”.First bathroom smells bad Issues with water everyday (3 nights total)One fridge for too many people I hope the fix the water problem. The hostal has potential.

Sharing in a dorm but without bunk beds, and a privacy sheets between was a great alternative to the traditional hostel bed experience. They foster a very social environment with regular activities that most guests wish to engage in. Gorgeous rooftop for the bar and to hangout on. Excellent location to Centro and the bus station.
Maybe if the breakfast could start earlier as 9am is a bit late if you wish to get out and about early. Also it was very cold at night and I only got a thin sheet and blanket, got a bit of a cold because of this, but overall good.
Good location and nice people
Bathrooms smelly and dirty
The decorations are unbelievable nice and unique. It has hippie vibes. The stuff is extremely kind and willing to help. We even got a homemade pizza in the evening. The hostel is located in the centre of Oaxaca. Walkable distance from the main bus station.
Staff was really welcoming even if I got there a couple minutes late. Everyone is social and they have a WhatsApp group chat that keeps everyone looped in on events or runs to get stuff that you might need for your stay.
The room does get a little hot. Another would be the internet connection was terrible it would keep on disconnecting and it said no signal.
Soaps hand towels personal light. Breakfast

The living room is beautiful, the terrace is really nice! I stayed in a 8 bed dorm, where the bed is very comfortable and there is good privacy... The breakfast is simple, but ok.
The shower is bad, almost without water..
As someone who loves to socialize when I travel, I found this place exceptional. You will meet new friends at all times of the day and they even have a WhatsApp group where staff and guests will share events and things to do. I had a lot of experiences I wouldn't have otherwise had if it weren't for using the WhatsApp group.
The water pressure is pretty dismal but I never expect any kind of luxury when staying at hostels. If that's my only complaint, they're doing pretty well.
Staff is super nice and speak english. There is a pub on the roof witch is a meeting place in the evenings (with happy hour). Lots of common spaces to meet the other people in the hostel. The dorm rooms have some piracy with a curtain.
The breakfast is very small and not filling. But a good place to sit and meet people.
The team and hot water and roof
Very crowded and not very clean old sheets
Met incredible people here! Especially the volunteers!I got sick (dengue) but everyone was very sweet , offered to go with me to the doctor, getting food, got me a more quite doorm etc. felt like family at the end ❤️ especially thanks to Frida. They should hire her for good! Also great places to chill and hangout. Loved the rooftop and hammocks. A lot of activities going on and great breakfast
Common area, rooftop chill area, spacious kitchen, location in the city, and the comfy beds! All in all great place to stay in the middle of oaxaca!
High standard complaints here, but I'd wish for more, and nicer lights, e.g. to go down the stairs of the large room, or the lamp next to the beds. .
I booked a room with a queen and a twin when I got there the reservation had been changed and I was put in a very small queen room to share with my female friend and my dog. I would have NEVER booked a single bed room.
Changing of my reservation
The Staff, Social vibe, fast and reliable internet / WiFi. Loads of activities, rooftop bar
the breakfast was great. i liked that the quiet hours were enforced
the chemical cleaners were very strong and made it almost impossible to sleep some nights
Great location, the included breakfast was tasty and ample, and I appreciated that while the hostel had a social/friendly atmosphere they respected quiet hours with a firm 11pm for the bar/music to shut down. I had booked a private room and found the bed comfortable and clean.
If this was a Real estate ad, the property would be described as having rustic “charm” and “character”. Communal area seating featured gym mat style mattresses, bathrooms were ok but poor water pressure. For the price, it’s a popular place, but facilities feel a bit run down. An ok hostel but definitely not the best I’ve stayed at in travels through Mexico and Central America.
Amazing place, it is designed so well as it has perfect amount of common areas which are good to relax in,the kitchen is very spacious and the bar is very cool and cheap. The rooms are also huge and very private with a curtain pull around, your own charging units, shelving and a light. The best thing about this place is the amazing staff specifically Thierry, Christopher and Pedro, lovely people who made the trip. This place is great to meet people and they organize so much events, also breakfast is great!
Great hostel experience! Clean and inviting with lots of outdoor space, friendly and attentive staff, active group chat with lots of great events and social opportunities both at the hostel and around town. A good pick for solo travelers and couples, especially those looking for a social vibe without being too big or overwhelming. Quiet hours were respected, so going to bed early was definitely possible.
