    Pros +

    • Beautiful decor, great location and the staff were uniformly thoughtful, helpful, friendly, and attentive.
    • The room was great large beautiful comfortable bed. Great art!! Fantastic location. Great large and beautiful bathroom. Our window faced the outside so could not really open it due to privacy issue and because it was right in line with the sidewalk . Breakfast was excellent especially in the upstairs terrace. The staff could not be better. Well prepared, knowledgeable staff , especially Ms Ana! I would stay again but upstairs with access to the terrace.
    • Close in to the cultural center of the old city on a relatively quiet street, comfortably upgraded and maintained with a lovely and attentive staff.

    Cons -

    • Just having a window that we could freely open. And the bathroom lighting could be improved.
    • Really the only thing we had any issues with was a hard mattress on the king bed! But we got used to it, especially after long days of walking.
    • While our room was nice it didn't have an outdoor window. It was also right next to the kitchen/restaurant so we could hear everything. There were also mosquitos in the room. The staff gave us something to ward them off but we still got bit by them :(

An outstanding hotel in a great location. The room was very large and quiet. Wood beams on the ceiling and stucco walls gave it a local feeling. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water. Freshly cooked breakfast with good choices were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was centrally located so we could easily walk to many nearby attractions. Breakfast was excellent! All freshly made and abundant. It was great to start our day with this meal. Service by the morning staff was also wonderful, especially the lady who received us when we arrived early on our first day. She was so kind and provided us coffee and tips/maps of the area for exploring. We were also able to leave our bags there before our check-in time and after check-out. Gracias!

The helpful staff, great location very close to all the historic city sites without being next door to the loud late night noisy bars.

We wish it had an interior garden, otherwise a perfect place to stay.

This is a beautiful very small hotel, in the best location for central Oaxaca’s sights and amazing food/culture. We stayed in the large suite with terrace overlooking the mountains — big enough to have a party. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive.

The traffic noise on the front-facing rooms (there are only about six rooms in the hotel) started pretty early in the am. The air conditioning fan wouldn’t go to the low, quieter setting. But these are small points and didn’t affect our stay.

The room was great, featuring a big terrace. The location was central, safe and convenient to walk everywhere. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight too.

The church bell early in the morning, but what can you do

Great location and lovely staff. The vallet parking was also good option.

Very nice and cozy. The location was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. Staff is super friendly.

It was not clear that the our reservation only included continental breakfast so we had to pay extra for other dishes. Besides that, it is a great hotel. We will come back for sure.

I had the continental breakfast, really hit the spot, fresh fruit and fresh bread were great.

My stay could have been longer, i really enjoyed the Hotel and would stay again. All all our questions were answered and if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. Things to do and directions to get there. freshest bread, best mescal.

The location is excellent - right in Oaxaca Centro only a 10-min walk away from Zocalo. Walking distance to Jalaltlaco neighborhood as well. The staff are exceptional. I had a couple of early morning tours booked, and the staff was more than willing to make me some coffee as early as 5am even though breakfast didn't start until 8.

Rooms comfortable with good AC. Lovely friendly staff.

    10CaryPosted on: 3-7-2024

As it turned out, the location was great. Not too far from the Zocalo and easy access to Jalatlaco and Xochimilco. All the staff were wonderful and helpful.

It would've been nice if there were a pool, just to cool our tired, throbbing feet. More places to sit in our room would have helped.

    9JaimePosted on: 1-30-2024

The staff was superb. Place was very clean. Bathroom had ventilation. The location was excellent. A couple of blocks to main tourist street and short walk downhill to town center. Convenient walk to most excellent restaurants. Excellent security by very attentive staff. Internet was excellent. A pull-off on road in front of hotel made for convenient place for taxis to wait and to unload and load luggage.

The shower head was either clogged or malfunctioning. No American news channels on TV but ths is faitly standard. Bed hard, which some prefer but an available foam pillow for bed would have been nice. But these were minor issues.

    9BarryPosted on: 11-28-2023

The staff were all terrific. Very friendly and attentive, and extremely helpful for first-time visitors to Oaxaca who speak minimal Spanish. The location was very convenient, a short walk from all the activity of Centro but far enough away to be quiet. With double paned windows and thick walls, room was pretty well soundproofed. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and very clean.

The only complaint is that the air conditioner for our room didn't work consistently. Not clear if there was a problem with the device. When it did work it was fine. We would have liked to open the windows at night when it cooled down but there weren't screens on the windows so mosquitoes got in.
